Had dinner here with the family. Staff were really friendly and the service was awesome. Food was delivered to our table quickly. Our favorites were the prawn roti, spice rubbed lamb and salt crusted pork belly with the macaroni and cheese side dish . The desserts were immaculately presented. Olive oil ice cream and chocolate fudge cookie were the standouts.

The perfect mix of high class restaurant composition and still walking away with a full belly and a smile on your face. Excellent for anniversaries, dates, or a mistress, or any occasion where impression is key. This restaurant really tries to take care of their customers. With a windy and rainy night, they provided warm blankets on the seats with heater outside. As the food comes, the presentation is well done together with the quantity of the foods for the price. Most importantly, when I have tasted each of their dishes especially their large shared plates, I realised that they have put effort in bringing the taste out of every element in the dish. This is probably the first restaurant I have been to that I want to finish eating the salads they provided with the dishes. Will definitely come back again to try other dishes and experience each of their tastes.

Healthy and tasty food here, as simple as that. Cozy environment friendly staff. Dont waste your time overthinking just go and grab a bite you will not be disappointed 💯

Atticus Finch offers one of the most complete dining experiences we have ever had in New Zealand. Amicable service, creative atmosphere, beautiful and delicious food and drinks, all at reasonable prices. It is a shame that this restaurant is not anywhere near Auckland, but that is also one of the contributing factors to its success. Atticus Finch is proof that extraordinary cuisine does not always involve egotistical jerks and emptied wallets. Keep up the great work.

We went here for lunch recently. There were four of us, and we shared plates. The food was delicious and the wine list available was very good. We had exceptional service. The young guy who took our order etc was lovely, helpful, and good humored. Will definitely go back again.

Decent, the fried chicken and aoli was great. We also tried the lamb shoulder which, could have been better, a little dry, a little lacking in salt and spice, but a nice combination of flavors on the plate.

We had an amazing meal here! Loved the diversity of the menu. And the staff were super, considering we were a bit of a pain asking for extra sauces & lemons. Highly recommend the fish cakes with the Sri Lankan sauce. And the fried greens were super. No photos because we were really hungry 😋

Wow! This place has an exquisite menu. Everything was so fresh, balanced and delicious. Our waiter was so sweet! Best dish of the night: soba noodles with crispy tofu and satay.

Lovely fresh ingredients. Edamame with schezwan salt - not spicy at all. Lovely fresh, nutty edamame but expected some heat from the seasoned salt Fried were delicious with the yummy garlic aioli. Sticky garlic, chili aubergine/tofu dish - no spice/heat at all. Lovely dish but wanted chili heat. Stuffed mushrooms - stuffing not listed on menu. Contains chipotle or a hickory BBQ type seasoning. You either love or dislike that. I'm on the dislike side, hubby on the love. The salad beneath was amazing...olives, artichokes etc and the cashew ricotta had lemon rind, so fresh. Was lovely. Disappointed the stuffing seasoning wasn't included on the menu. Chocolate mousse tart, beautiful. Very rich. Enjoyed the tartness of the coulis Friendly staff, lovely space

Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant, the food was of an exceptional quality with service to match. Had the Fried Squid, Ginger Sesame Fried Chicken, Spice Rubbed Lamb Rump and sides of Roasted Kumara and Seeded Roasted Carrots. They were all so tasty with the sauces complimenting the food perfectly.

What can I say but yum yum yum. Will definitely return next time we’re in town. Everything we had was delicious especially the cocktails. Our waitress Harriet made the evening even more enjoyable.

Not a bad place to eat at all! Great staff and great service. We just thought it was a little bit overpriced for the small dishes. $18 for four average lettuce tacos or six dumplings (was nice but not enough satiety for two hungry adults 😢). Idk we left feeling a bit meh. I’d give it a 3.79

Was delighted to stumble upon this gem! Servers were knowledgeable and very cordial. Plates were delicious! Food was outstanding, presentation amazing, flavors that blew your taste buds out of the water. Definately encourage you to order a variety and share plates, even the entrees. I ordered a tea to drink and it was so delicious (an herbal with apples and lemongrass) My regret was we didn't have time on our trip to stop and eat there again!

Unforgettable food. The salt crusted pork belly was quite possibly the best meal we've ever had. We both couldn't stop smiling at every mouthful. And prawn wraps were absolutely amazing too. We have young kids and get to go out often now. This was an absolute highlight. Thanks team Atticus Finch!

Cauliflower Rice Balls are a MUST!!! The Cauliflower rice balls were amazing! The sauce it came with was amazing as well! Service was great, drinks were cold and good as well. We also had shrimp and some steak. It was a really good dinner and i would def recommend this place to come for dinner. It was nice to have the heater on a cold night.

Eat here last night for dinner. We choice three small dishes rather than main courses so to be able to try out more tastes. The restaurant has various vegetarian options and we choose beetroot and halloumi complemented with fried potatoes. The food was good and the service excellent.

Out with my sister after the movies. Having a great time here sharing tapas the food is excellent and more importantly so is the coffee. Staff are pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend. Cost is $$ I have returned and had another great sharing meal. You need to book to avoid disappointment. My favourite was the whipped goats cheese with fog jam and rosemary crostini.

Fresh and tasty food. My husband and I had the Ginger Sesame Fried Chicken and the Spice Rubbed Lamb Rump, both very delicious. We also had one caramelised apple pie to share and I wish we had ordered two! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We got there too late for dinner, so check the closing time and plan in advance. It was worth going back the next day for lunch!

Creative plates with Asian influences. We shared the roasted cauliflower, chargrilled Miso prawns, spice rubbed lamb rump & chargrilled peppered beef sirloin. Food was fantastic! On top of that, there was also a happy hour promotion $6.5 for glass of beer/house white/red. We shared the peach, apricot & plum crostata for dessert which was okay.

Shared two large platters, tasty great flavours (slow cooked lamb platter and fennell salted pork belly) the desserts were delicious.I had the Fudge Brownie and my partner had the Rum cake with coconut custard. Excellent service!

Healthy and yummy!!! I couldn't be happier with this restaurant. They use fresh ingredients and the menu is innovative. The staff are so helpful and friendly- please keep your high level of customer service! I'm also over the moon that they have dairy free dishes as well. Yes forever. Will be returning.

Outstanding, fun, courteous service. Lovely food, great ambience! We ordered a selection of the small plates and it was brilliant fun as they all came out one by one. We also ordered the cheapest Savignon blanc on the menu amd it was devine! Totally recommend recommend this place for a lovely night out.

Highly recommend. The pork dumplings, sri lankan fish cakes & raspberry tart were especially good, as were the croucher beers ! Efficient professional staff yet a relaxed atmosphere.

.. Everytime in Rotorua we will try and structure our day so we can get to Atticis Finch for their lunch menu (12 - 2:30pm) so we can grab the open Steak and Bacon sandwich - Smokey goodness at it’s finest, you have to try !!

Sometimes I catch myself daydreaming about the caramelised pork roti. Subsequently every time we had a meal on this trip that didn't meet my standards I'd think "if only I could go back to Atticus Finch and have the caramelised pork roti instead". That's not fair though because the other dishes were also delicious. But there was just something about the caramelised pork roti ... 🤤

The food was delicious, great atmosphere and we loved being greeted in Te Reo! Chilli lemongrass mojito highly recommend. Had a great night. Thank you

Great food and great service and good value for dolero

I dont get the hype around Atticus Finch, I Frequently travel to rotorua and decided to finally try this restaurant with my family after the trip advisor reviews and ratings, But its so average..... The portions are large enough for one person, i wouldn't call them share plates, they are actually just mains. The prices are ridiculous for the quality of food you get, Its sub par food for extravagant prices, the only good thing about this restaurant is the location, its close to the lake and city center. I would call this a tourist trap as the reviews are very deceiving. I recommend going to capers which is nearby and the prices are actually decent, i would even say some of the things at capers are higher quality and better tasting than the dishes here. Overall dont come here unless you got a deep wallet and you want to sit with all the tourists and travelers who dont know any better options. It is of the better restaurants on eat street though but most of them are over priced and sub par tourist traps.

Fun fusion food with twists that will make your taste buds dance with joy. We've tried the risotto balls, fried chicken, cauliflower salad, miso aubergine and caramelised pear and every single dish was absolutely top notch.

Can not recommend highly enough. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Me and the Hubby shared several share plates and every single one was delicious. The cocktails were yummy. Food came out in very good time and the whole experience was just top notch. The prices were very reasonable, our bill came to $110 for 4 x share plates and 4 x cocktails. We will most definately be back to try out some of the other dishes!

Wonderful, the selection of plates we shared were delicious, there was 4 of us and 6 dishes were enough, 3 of us had delicious desserts even though we didn't need them. Our waiter was first class and a lot of fun. It was an excellent experience.

We arrived on a cold and windy Friday night to a busy restaurant. Staff were really friendly and gave us a time to come back. We had a beer somewhere else and went back. Very welcoming, very warm. Food was way above expectations and as good as some top notch restaurants in Auckland etc. Definitely worth going to.

Been here a couple times and always have amazing service from happy, lovely staff. Our server was Nicky and it was all outstanding. Delicious food too. Highly recommend. (Also great cocktails)

Super friendly staff made the experience enjoyable from the moment we walked up to the restaurant. The staff made helpful suggestions about the menu, which was a share plates style. We ordered a range of dishes for the group, and the first one arrived so fast we thought at first it was mis-delivered! Amazing flavours in each dish, food was perfectly cooked and we couldn't decide on a fave dish because they were all superb. Cocktails were also intriguing flavours and super delicious. All up, we spent only a few dollars more to dine here than we did at the previous night's far less spectacular restaurant, so incredibly well worth a visit. Thanks for a fantastic evening!

We came here on our way back from a trip around the East cape heading back up North. It is rare to find a meal where every plate surprises & delights. We shared 2 entrees, 2 mains & a dessert. Can't rave enough about this place. Went there as loved the name, but the food was exceptional. If you're in Rotorua book in. You won't be disappointed!

Great place for casual dining. Lovely service and food. Highlight for me was the risotto balls, am not vegetarian but the delicate subtle favour balance was perfect combined with the light crunchy texture, very well executed. And the Mocktails were delicious. Can highly recommend.

When dining here thought we had died & gone to Heaven, what a fantastic way to dine, tasting plates of imaginative tasty food. With pleasant helpful wait staff, obviously a Rotorua 'Superstar' on the dining scene !

Food ranged from ok to good, the staff were great, environment was great, prices similar to the surrounding area (higher than average) but they did forget our coffee. Portion sizes are more of a "share plate" so not too large but enough to be full on. Make sure you order the kumara wedges (very nice) and maybe the mac n' cheese. Our waiter recommended the fancy pants fried chicken that turned out to be the best dish, followed by the fried haloumi and the dry style eggplant curry (next tier good dishes).

Had dinner here - share plates are a great way to try all the delicious options. LOTS of gf, df options so it was easy for us to share ALL of the dishes. Loved it so much we went back the next night too! Faves: Ginger sesame chicken and Fennel & salt encrusted pork belly although its ALL good. PLUS the cocktails are fab! Tried a few of those too - yum! oh and great service, friendly staff.

Our server was not very nice and didn't seem to want to answer questions or interact with us lol. But we were having too good of a time to care much. That was the only downside to an otherwise really wonderful meal. They have a vegan menu (pictured below) that has fun and delicious options that aren't just "you can pay for this whole bowl but we'll leave off the top three expensive ingredients that actually make this a meal". Risotto balls were nice, the chilli mushroom had a great mix of flavours, the pork belly and parsnip was a bit smaller than expected as it was a "big sharing plate". Dessert was the winner, the lemon and rosemary tart was divine. Overall food was nice, and front of house staff were really friendly and helpful with menu tips.

Great food (sharing style) that was served fast - what more could we ask for with two hungry little people in tow. The staff were super accommodating on our children and quickly provided a highchair for our youngest. The cocktails were delicious and my husband was very happy with the craft beer selection. Only very small complaint was we were seated by the door and it was quite cold with the door being left open.

Atticus Finch has very unique plates and a great beer selection. I had this Indian-inspired vegetarian eggplant and roti dish alongside a the Moonride porter.

I did have a pretty good meal, however I found the wait staff, not very helpful and a little rude. 3.5/5

Everything was fantastic. We had the chicken, prawns, mushrooms, halloumi and beef, topped off with the chocolate dessert. It was all delicious and it is hard to recall a better overall dining experience. Our waitress was Harriet, she was very friendly and gave us excellent service. The whole Eat Streat experience is great.

Came from auckland for the long weekend with my family and came for dinner because of the good reviews and the place really met our expectations! The food was quick considering how busy they were tonight. FOOD WAS AMAZING AND SO WERE THE DESSERTS wow. The waitress with the Dark curly hair was amazing! (didn’t get her name) Super friendly and full of humour. If we ever come back to rotorua we will 100% be back.

Delightful food with lots of interesting combinations and flavours. Unfortunately the waitress was somewhat rude and disrespectful. In trying to be friendly she talked too much. I will be back hopefully with a more respectful waitress.

It is always such a delight to eat at Atticus Finch - my family’s favourite restaurant in NZ. There is a variety of small plates, large plates and sides. Amazing vegetarian dishes as well as meat / seafood. The dishes are always very interesting and very tasty. The wine list is lovely and the cocktails are world class (we are obsessed with the blush rhubarb sour). The staff are friendly and relaxed, yet very professional. It is always a relaxing and enjoyable time.

A restaurant with plates designed to be shared between people. Overall the quality of the food was high, the beef short ribs are absolutely out of this world!!! Food is slightly expensive considering the quantity of each plate being quite small though. Will definitely be back.

We were made to feel very welcome from the time we arrived. The menu looked interesting and we were not dissapointed as the food was amazing. Harriet (she is an amazing waiter) made a helpful suggestion about how much food we needed to order and she was right. We went on to have a desert each which were just devine! Tasty food but the menu was kinda confused. You don’t need to list every ingredient on the dish! The food came out really quickly. Some people might like that but we’d gone out for the evening so it wasn’t exactly what we were after. The prices were very reasonable and it was fun people watching.

After being on the road and only being able to have the choice of burgers/pizza/sandwich/pies it was such a relief to FINALLY get some vegetables. And cooked wonderfully tasty. Yum.

Our favourite place in Rotorua! Food is always delicious and fresh and it’s a great social experience to be able to order multiple dishes and share amongst friends. The service is always fantastic too! Cannot fault any aspect of Atticus Finch. It’s our go to when heading out for dinner.

Lovely place for dinner. The courtyard area is awesome with the heaters and flames! I was welcomed by a very friendly chap by the name of Marcus. He enticed me by showing me the various dishes that he was serving. I wanted a beverage that wasn’t on the menu and they obliged and made me a beautiful vodka martini. Back to the food. Plates are to be shared which is the magnificent part of this culinary journey but alas I am traveling alone. I was salivating at everything that was coming out but was enticed by the warm spice rubbed chicken with charred corn salsa and avocado. The flavors melded. A combination of Indian spices and Mexican flare. So delicious. I come from California with a huge Latin influence but this was a plethora of flavors melding together in a most passionate way! I loved it. Thanks so much.

Loved this place. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I have a few allergies that make it very difficult and frustrating to eat out. Our waitress Crystal went that extra mile to help me find suitable food and a vegan wine that I could enjoy. When there was some issue with the food she made sure she came and told me about it. This place is always busy and they are so rushed off their feet, but they always smile and never turn people away. Well done to all of you! You are fantastic. The best resteraunt in Rotorua if not one of the best in NZ. Amazing array of unique cocktails and dishes along with a super fun style of dining. The wait staff were very energetic (even though we came close to closing) and were helpful and attentive. Will deffinitley be back to try the rest of the menu!

The staff were fantastic, so helpful, funny and nice. What added to the experience that the food was excellent. The char grilled sirloin was a particularly good choice... and it didn't hurt that the potatoes matched really well with the panhead stout I was having!

Stylish place in a stylish part of Rotorua. The vegan plates were delicious, but there could easily be more of them ;). The deserts were great. Maybe in the future the drinks menu could indicate what wines are vegan-friendly. The place was warm on a cold evening, as were the kind staff. A lovely dining experience. I loved this place.

We loved their food so much we went twice on 2 days. Some of the best vegan/vegetarian food I've ever had. Loved the layering and the complexity in each dish. The Roti jackfruit and the eggplant both were fantastic, as were the drinks. Lovely, warm service too.

Wow, the food here is just astoundingly good, 100% hit rate across all courses is rare to find, and very favourably priced. Lovely people too. Can't recommend highly enough, top marks!

Lovely service from everyone we encountered, had a nice seat outside (hot day), didn't wait long for the food/drinks & it was amazing. The menu has a good mix of classics/safe options as well as something new to try. Our host Luana gave great recommendations. I'd recommend reserving a table beforehand as it was busy.

I have a serious issue with this restaurant. Now that I've eaten here, I've been spoiled for any other restaurant experience. I'm not sure I'll ever again strike such a perfect balance of attentive, personable service, multiple well-paced courses of the most exquisite food, and dangerously good cocktails. 10/10 I've been ruined for life.

This restaurant was superb. Our group of 5 dined here and the food was delicious. Our waitress aroha was lovely and extremely helpful. Great place to go if your into trying lots of different plates of food. We'll be back!!!

Outstanding food, with excellent service. Enjoyed several delicious dishes, and desserts. The steak, prawns and ginger sesame fried chicken we standouts. Pavlova was also great. Would definitely recommend and return!

This review is purely based on staff... I didnt get to eat there. I stood at the sign 'please wait here to be seated' and the waiter walks up to me and doesnt say a word. I have to initiate every single sentence. Please train your staff better then this, it is not welcoming....even if you have no tables, in fact especially if you have no tables. Do you ever want them to return? Wow. Not good.

Wonderful! If you're curious about the quantities and costs of the food, our group of 6 shared several small and large plates. We spent about $55 per person, and we all had plenty of food, at least a glass of wine, and a dessert each! Very reasonable for the quality. Great atmosphere here.

Best service I have received in NZ, food was excellent and the prices were fair but probably a little higher than others in area. The craft beer list was current and a nice change from the norm. My only criticism is that the food came out too quickly. We were told when we ordered that the food was cooked to order and would come out sporadically but the first dish was on our table within 5 mins of ordering and we had finished eating within 45 mins of first sitting down. Dining out is meant to be a relaxing evening, take another 10 mins between dishes and let people enjoy their food. Still worth 5 stars everything else was fab.

Amazing food, staff were lovely and we were lucky enough to be served by the inspirational owner this evening. Her vision is, I imagine, to serve delicious food which is uncomplicated and easy to make but with interesting combinations and amazing mouth watering results.

Busy New Year's Eve, staff were incredibly friendly, efficient and accommodating. They seated us quickly, were attentive and food arrived quickly. Food was phenomenal, best meal I've had in a long time, came out fresh and at a great temperature, sooo delicious, left stuffed and satisfied. Thank you to the staff!

Possibly the best dining experience myself or my partner have ever had. Incredible service, fast meal times, and the meals are to die for. Fantastically accommodating to vegans too (their own full menu). Can’t recommend enough!

Found this spot on trip advisor and it did not disappoint. This is really amazing food. It was well cooked, plated and presented. I am still thinking about the risotto balls...and the lamb dinner and chicken pies were equally as delicious. There are a lot of options on that "Eatz Street" but this was the best we found.

I came here tonight with a mate and ordered some of the chicken nibbles, garlic bread, lamb and the pork belly. Honestly so worth it and tasted amazing, everything was beautiful. The pork belly especially I was eager to try because of all the good reviews I had seen and they weren't lying, it was so tender and melt in your mouth and the flavours were amazing, definitely give that a go! 11/10, absolutely loved it. Edit - I got so caught up in how good the food was but I forgot to mention that the staff were all so lovely and helpful, and service was very quick. Can't fault this place at all :)

One of our more memorable meals on a family (2 adults 2 kids) trip to Rotorua. Everyone was catered for and found the food tasty. Service was friendly, quick and professional. The food was really excellent. I highly recommend this place without hesitation. We felt fortunate we got in early as it was super busy by the time we left. The Fish of the Day was a particular highlight as was the beef salad.

Loved the idea of sharing entre and main, we shared 2 entres and a main so we could fit in dessert. Great atmosphere and table service

Great food with a great idea - the dishes are meant to be shared by the party, so it's on purpose that they arrive sequentially. Very interesting and delicious combinations of ingredients and perfectly cooked for a great texture and a real pleasure for your taste buds. Food and drinks arrive very quickly. Not entirely on the cheap side, however.

Really delicious food and excellent service. Our waitress, Nikki was very friendly. Two small and one large meal was plenty for two to share.

This place is amazing! All the food is made to be shared, so if you aren’t a fan of tapas style restaurants, you may want to steer clear and make room so my wife and I can get a table again! I jest, but seriously, the food has an almost indescribable international flavor profile. And if you’re a fan of “To Kill a Mockingbird” then you should definitely check it out.

Very accommodating and friendly service. Our group included a Coeliac and a vegetarian so we really appreciate this and will be coming back next time we're in town.

This place was overall good. We had the steak salad and I really enjoyed the complexity of all the yummy ingredients. I think their version of kimchi is just cabbage under the shrimp skewers but it was still a tasty dish. We saw many guests enjoying their desserts and some people even came solely for sweets.

Went here for dinner and it was fantastic, great setting, staff were super efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Food came out very quickly. Each meal we ordered was cooked wonderfully. We ordered a few things with chilli and wasabi, as someone who does not appreciate any hot spices I feel the wasabi and chilli was executed very responsibly and didn't overpower everything it touched. We requested for the seered steak to be done as rare as possible to which the staff made note and it came out perfectly. The whipped garlic butter from the ciabatta was also balanced perfectly and not too overpowering. The chef's have a good feel for cooking a meal and having the flavours all work together. If we were local to the area we'd definitely be back!

Excellent food and service as always but then I have only been here a few times. Didn't open until midday so not busy and potential diners may view that as a negative.

When we arrived it was very busy. Staff advised of a wait, which was appreciated. Between five of us we ordered four different meals. All were great! Lovely and fresh salad ingredients. Nice plump Prawns in the salad. Great carnitas in the tacos etc. Nice range from the bar and plenty of eclectic non alcoholic beverages. Definitely going back

Awesome. Staff are on point: friendly and knowledgeable (every dish or drink we asked about our server really knew his stuff and it seemed like he had tried everything on the menu). Each dish (from the 7 dishes between 2 people) somehow seemed to get better than the last. Quality produce put together into inventive and tasty plates. Worth the money that's for sure.

I'm struggling to write an amusing review of this place because it was just genuinely so great.

An entire separate vegan menu! We weren't sure what we'd find in Rotorua for vegan food but were blown away by Atticus Finch. We ordered the roast green veges, fried cauliflower, and portobello hazelnut dishes, and every one was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, great atmosphere, not too loud, and reasonably priced. We also ordered some house made non-alcoholic cocktails that were amazing. We can't recommend this place enough for vegans. A real highlight of our trip.

In Rotorua for just 2 night, I heard so much about this place I made a reservation for our first night. Eat street seem a very tourist spot and it is, but this restaurant, well this is great no matter where it is. We really enjoy the casual atmosphere, the good service and very good tapas. Just out of the box dishes, truly delicious. Absolutely go try it, you'll go back!!!

All the food here was great! The atmosphere is excellent. All plates here are meant to be shared and come out as they are ready from the kitchen. I highly recommend the risotto balls, prawns and chocolate cake. This restaurant is a must for anyone who is visiting Rotorua.

Nice outside seating. The roti pulled pork is absolutely delicious! Portions are shareable & large. Recommend 2-3 small plates and 1 large plate for a couple.

Situated on Eat Streat the food we had at Atticus Finch was sublime! The basis of the menu is sharing plates - small or large. Two of us shared 4 small plates. We couldn’t pick the best from them as they were all delicious. Service also excellent, and prices reasonable. Wine was also good and reasonably priced. I managed to fit in a dessert which was also perfect! We had to book in advance as it’s pretty busy.

We visited before Christmas. The light-haired waitress could not be bothered. Which is unfortunate because the food was really good, and it was nice to sit out and watch the relaxed crowd. Other wait staff came later, more friendly and service-minded.

Atticus Finch is located in Rotorua's 'Eat Streat', which has a good atmosphere and looks lovely when it's lit up at night. I went with a group of six people and everyone enjoyed all of their food. The shared plate system makes for a more social experience and meal envy is no longer a problem! You get to taste so many different menu items when you go as a group and there are plenty of vegetarian options available. The dishes are brought out one by one - as soon as they're ready - so there's not much waiting. The service was decent, prices are not cheap but are affordable. We all enjoyed our time here and would visit again. The menu is seasonal so we will have new dishes to try out. Recommended!

Hadn't booked, so put our names down and wandered to the lake front. Got back and maitre d remembered our name! Excellent food, small plates to share, superb service - a very busy Friday night. Was recommended in Rough Guide. Wasn't expensive. Would come again if we're ever in NZ again.

Amazing food. Lots of lacto-ovo vegetarian available, a few vegan too. The sharing style dishes meant we could try lots of different flavours. The staff were very enthusiastic about the food and were very helpful with recommendations including how many dishes to order, and wine options.

Great restaurant at the Eat Street. It was one of the recommendations of our Airbnb host, and right on point. The food is great - we picked two entres and one main for the two of us, and it seemed enough. We loved the miso prawn - fresh prawns that tasted amazing with the miso. We also ordered the fried chicken, and loved how balanced that was. For the main, we went for the lamb. It was local lamb with fresh puree and vegetables. Highly recommend it. The only word of warning, the lamb is served medium rare. Ask if you want it otherwise, we weren't advised.

Really good place for tapas and wine and a nice meal

My wife and I stopped at Atticus Finch while on our honeymoon in September and were absolutely blown away by the whole experience! The service was so friendly and hospitable, and the food was positively delicious! The entire meal felt as tasty and wholesome as if it were homemade and as uniquely flavorful as a gourmet establishment. And we have to say how much we LOVED their homemade lemonade! It is a must have! We would highly recommend Atticus Finch to anyone looking for a fun dinner out in the Rotorua area!

This Restaurant is one of the best ones I’ve eaten at in Rotorua. The Mocking Bird cocktail is amazing. The guys at Globus tattoo recommend that I eat here and let me tell you this food and service is at an international standard, I’m definitely going to eat here again on my next trip.

Amazing vegetarian options, absolutely delicious. We started struggling after two small dishes and half of a large dish. We regretted having ordered two large dishes, would be better off leaving room for dessert.

Sitting outside on a chilly winter Rotorua night would not be everyone’s cup of tea but for this family it added to the dining experience. Wrapped in rugs and sitting under the heaters, we ordered a number of small plates and one large plate to share amongst the four of us. This was plenty but we had the dessert anyway. The standout for both husband and me was the roasted green vegetable dish, daughter one liked the edamame beans and daughter 2 enjoyed the risotto balls with blue cheese dressing. The desserts were delicious too. The dishes arrived at perfect intervals and the service was efficient and friendly. We would definitely go there again Catherine

Soooo lovely to spend evening meal here with family, right under heating, even blankets over chairs to keep us warm, and the separate vegan cuisine just superb. A new dessert for vegans, has been added to the menu, apple pie with cashew Custard and roasted pecans lightly flavoured, while a deconstructed apple pie the traditional was not lost in this delectable treat, sorry I forgot to take a photo. Also a really buzzy eat street with plenty of atmosphere, great to take our out of towners.

Beautiful place with a menu that was made to share, a concept to which I loved, small portions for size but maaaann are they packed with the most beautiful flavour combinations that make it so worth every bite, lovely place to go on special occasions and cater to lots of dietary restrictions, myself being gluten free and vegan I love this place❤

Great food, but be prepared to wait between courses. If you’ve got dietary requirements and are waiting for a specific dish you’ll probably be waiting quite a while as the kitchen seems to put out one dish at a time with about 15 mins between each one. We arrived at 7.45pm and didn’t get the one vegan large dish one of our party was waiting for until 9pm.

Take your tastebuds on a journey the chefs menu will dance with your senses, the food is awesome great selection of beverages. The staff are helpful, informed and fun! No mockingbird died tonight.

Delicious and one of a kind. We found Atticus Finch on google and went there without any expectations and it blew us away. Even though it was a busy Sunday night we (3) were seated right away. The waitress was attentive and after ordering our plates it didn’t take long for the first one to come out, after that the plates were timed perfectly that one came after the other. The menu is unique and the share plates idea is a great way to taste a variety of what’s on the menu. Every dish was full of flavour and tasted as though it was made with passion! I will be back.

My favourite eatery so far in Rotorua. They do an impressive variety of small and large share plates, and cater very well to gluten free and vegeterian diets. All the food tasty unique as well as feeling fresh and healthy. Great atmosphere and variety of seating options inside, out, semi-out, high or low. Highly recommend to make a booking. The surrounding area is also very nice with a number of other eateries and bars. Wish we had such an area in Auckland!

When we saw the menu, we decided to order more of the small plates instead of the large share plates. This allowed us to try many more items, instead of just a single large plate item. "Chargrilled miso prawns" were excellent. Well-marinated, cooked perfectly to give a bouncy firm bite without losing moisture. "Ginger sesame fried chicken" was amazing. It was fried perfectly, not oily, marinated well and was simy mouthwateringly good. "Fried Haloumi" was unexpectedly good, and served with some kind of salad with a tasty dressing. "Potato Galette" was underwhelming, as each piece was too thick and only the suurface was cooked to a decadent level of crispiness. Definitely do not like this dish, but individual tastes may differ. All in all, a good dining option.

Amazing experience. Recommend 100%. 150%+++. Was extremely lucky to grab a 5:45pm booking on Valentine's Day. Every table was booked out. I will say, don't get the chips unless you're in a large group, they are so good you will fill up on them and then wonder why you don't have enough room left for all the really cool eclectic fusion share plates. I mean unless you really like chips or have picky eaters or something, I'm not telling you how to live your life. But you should order the really interesting stuff off the menu, not accidentally fill up on chips. Some regrets were had, as you can probably tell. What can I say, I like chips.

Very nice and friendly staff. The place is warm and the lights are great. Every dish is served right after it is cooked. The closing hour seems to be depending the will of staff. It may still open after the written closing time.

On holiday with my man, sister and her partner. We all agreed that was the best meal any of us had ever had! We ordered all of the small share plates and 4 large share plates. Asked staff to recommend wine which was perfect, Astrolabe Province Sav Blanc. Go there. Spend the money and have anything your heart desires. Totally worth it and will be back in winter!

Ordered the Halloumi salad, the fish, the steak and for dessert - chocolate cake with ice cream. Everything was absolutely delicious and mouth watering. Service was excellent. Wish I could go there again.

The food is fantastic but service is slow, we waited a long time between plates. The staff were hit and miss and it would have been nice to have a single server, we had 4 different staff bring dishes /drinks and take our order.

We had 2 share mains and 2 smalls share plates and dessert. Everything tasted amazing and suprised by the value for money. Would defanatly recommend and eat their again.

Great sharing plates and amazing dairy free chocolate mousse

A lovely sociable and informal way of dining when in a group with the shared plates system. It was refreshing, as a vegetarian with a vegan husband, to have great choices of creative food.

Food was good. Pverpriced for what ypu get. Service could have gotten thos over the line with 4 stars but we pretty much didn't get any service. Had to ask 3 times for water.

Atticus is one of those rare places. Its not often you find a restaurant that hits a home run across its menu at a price point that is competitive. I loved the share plate concept and the relaxed pace you can enjoy your dining experience. My favorite restaurant in New Zealand

Enjoyed kai, loved the pork. Aroha our hostess is awesome. Comical, knowledge of how the kai is cooked, happy and II enjoyed her energy. Stay awesome Aroha.

this place is know for the small plates. it maybe the 1st restaurant that i heard of advising the guest to share the food. The food is tasty and well balanced. Worth the money. Staff is friendly and helpul. Definitely worth a try

Favorite dish I tried was the rolled pork. It was really well flavored and tender The service was ok. The waitress didn't seem to know much about the dishes.

Yummy food! I enjoyed the Sicilian Apple Cake and the halloumi salad. Nice drinks on offer especially non-alcoholic ones, and helpful staff.

The cauliflower is delicious, and the roti is out of this world! I would definitely lean toward the Indian inspired dishes if you come here - you won’t be disappointed!

Good place for small eats. They have Gluten Free options even for deserts. But their portion size is a bit on the small side.
