Reviews of Indian Star Restaurant
S.
This visit was my second, some 5 years apart from the first. I had fond memories of my first visit, which is why I wanted to try again with family in tow.
We were dining early, alfresco in the outdoor, but covered area.
Complementary popadoms started, soon followed by our mains. Each of us had our own observations about the taste of our respective dishes, but overall we left feeling content. There were generous helpings of chicken and prawns and the spice level met 'kiwi' expectations. The breads are soft and melt in your mouth. A huge bowl of rice fed all three of us.
Would highly recommend a visit if staying in Rotorua.
R.
The food at Indian Star Restaurant is exceptional! Very tasty, fresh, and well prepared. I love the service at the place and all staffs are so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place.
P.
We were four of us and visited first time here.. we are completely satisfied with the food and the staff. The Manager and staff were quite capable to handle the busy situation and customers expectations. Five stars for service , food and staff.
S.
My friends and I had a lovely meal together. The waiter looked after us, and was very polite. Even Ray the manager took time to come over and welcome us.
The lamb shank served on a bed of rice with beautiful curry sauce was A1. The lamb was slowly cooked overnight and it fell of the bone Yum.
Well worth a visit. Thanks Ray and Team
S.
Came here for a family dinner on Saturday night, public holiday weekend. Eat street very busy and was Indian Star. Nice atmosphere and seating indoors and out. Nice sitting outside.
The food was great, we all had a selection of curries, I had tikka masala and keema naan which was great and very tasty.
I had tandoori combo on a hot plate, which was great. Tandoori meat, pakoras, and chicken, with vegetables. Very fresh food, definitely recommend, you’ll be full when you’re done
J.
The place was super bussy, the wait was quite long but the food was delicious!
C.
We enjoyed the place, food delivery was a bit slow. Food was good but chicken was dry. I don't think we will be back. But nothing serious.
R.
Delicious food at place in the heart of town. Busy as it should be because of the taste, ambience and service. Tandoori chicken was standout dish for us. Enjoy some chilled Indian beer with nice snacks and main course. One of the best places in NZ for India food.
N.
Absolutely beautiful food and great service! Was amazed at the quality of food. Up there with the Best Indian I've had
S.
We went for dinner and asked the staff, the USP dish of the day. Lamb balti and chicken tikka was yummy. We relished the real tasty food. We really enjoyed the dinner. Closing time can be extended on popular demand.
W.
My wife said she just had her best meal in new zealand. And to be honest, this is a very legit Indian food! The butter chicken and the prawn masala are simply amazing, for us the butter chicken is a bit too sweet, but after combining it with the masala sauce, it ended up JUST PERFECT! Must visit restaurant when you are in Rotorua!
A.
Good north Indian Punjabi food, great service, great ambience. Finally, an Indian restaurant that does not attempt to serve "kiwi"-ised Indian food. The portions are good, the price is _slightly_ higher than what I'd expect of an Indian restaurant, but all in all, really good. Will eat here again.
K.
Delicious food and amazing service! We were very impressed with the quality of our meals, and the service we received just added to an overall great experience! The only thing I could fault is that the butter chicken was a bit too sweet, but everything else was divine! Will be back when I am in the area again! We got the $35 per person banquet which was more than enough food!
G.
This could be the best chicken balti I think I’ve ever had. Who would have thought that after all the times I went to Brick Lane and other curry houses in London, I stumbled across this absolute gem in Rotorua. I encourage you to come here and experience the joy. I’m in ecstasy!
M.
Lovely service we loved & enjoyed our entrees
R.
Excellent Desi food - onion pakora, veg subjis, and veg palau were tasty. Jamoon was little extra sweet.
S.
The food here is ok - the service is about what you would expect in a busy place. They do cater for quite large groups so I guess if you get stuck with an order at the same time you are in for a long wait!
J.
Delicious food! Stayed in Rotorua for a night and got dinner from there. Absolutely delicious!
B.
The most AMAZING lunch.
The service by Kunal was super friendly and efficient.
The Butter Chicken was so tasty.
My new favorite place to eat indian.
Looking forward to mext time.
Thanks for a most pleasurable experience.
Cheers
M.
Food was ok. Onions rings were great. Love the house wine .
C.
Food was fine but waited 20 minutes to be served and over an hour for our food. It wasn’t busy enough to warrant almost an hour and half of waiting for food and also only being approached about drinks the first time.
They did offer me a free icecream after realising they messed up my order which was nice and the service wasn’t bad just not often.
B.
Nice looking indian restaurant. Biryani rice was quite good. Cheese naan was burnt on bottom, not the authentic naan that I was expecting.
A.
Food was ok, have had better elsewhere. Staff was nice and friendly. Nice vibe to the place. Good place for large parties plenty of space and nice decor.
G.
I visited with my family and we would definitely come back because of staff , service and food.
T.
What a great evening! Our group went with the banquet, and gold star treatment from the waiting staff. The food and drinks just kept coming and we really enjoyed the experience.
I'd highly recommend coming here.
E.
Had an absolutely delicious meal here on Saturday 1/5/21 between 530 and 630. My husband and I were with Louie who is special needs. He wanted mayo with his chips and was upset they didn’t have any. The waiter heard him and went the extra mile to get him some. We were so grateful. I can’t remember his name but he was wearing the traditional turban.
C.
We have been going to the Indian Star for 10 years and have had nothing but consistently excellent service and great Indian food. We have hosted large extended family and intimate dinners and even held a company event there once. Ray has demonstrated why he is always being given the title of host of the year through various awards, by paying special attention to his guests, taking the time to get to know them and remembering the important details and dates. We don’t live in Rotorua, but have more than once taken a 100km detour when travelling through the central north island just to stop in Rotorua for lunch. The tandoori platter is fantastic. There’s a reason Indian Star is always busy often on nights when those around are quiet and empty. It’s a must try!
J.
A maze ing! very good having had indian all over nzd this is one of the best had the banquet was Devine!! the malei kofta was my favourite best one ever!
R.
This is our go to Indian and as always the food and service e last night was top notch. We went for a birthday celebration and Ray and the team made it extra special. We have never been disappointed. The food is amazing and the service is always great whether dining in or grabbing a takeaway! The chilli chicken and chilli mushrooms are highly recommended too!!
a.
I have been there on 26th may around 8:00pm. it was so awesome. I liked the food it was great in quality and quantity.. specially the person named pulkit was exceptionally good in customer service. He was so polite and smiling. Great customer service .. ll definitely come back n recommend to others as well.
T.
Absolutely delicious meal, spices and flavour above average, great sauces and fabulous service, with yummy complimentary ice-cream pudding. Waitress paced up and down a bit too much...but we were warm and cosy there.
M.
Food is so delicious, no words, the chicken tikka we had was so tender..... yum
J.
The best Indian restaurant I've been to! The butter chicken was on point, and the cheese naan was completely filled with cheese (most restaurants just stuff the insides with cheese and leave the edges as just plain naan). The wait for the food was worth it!
N.
Indian star restaurant is about as good as it gets. I've never had better but many restaurants don't do their customers justice, menus promises delights that the chef fails to deliver. Not so here, I've never been disappointed and always enjoyed my visits. I love their Cheese chilli 😍😍😍😍. Manager and his team is amazing.
D.
Absolutely beautiful food and great service! Friendly staff😊😊
J.
Best Rogan Josh I've ever had
The heaters were too hot and I couldn't finish it
c.
Great services friendly stuff. Beautiful food. Family friendly.
L.
We have been to this Restaurant twice now over a 12 month period. The food is out standing and not oily like many western Indian restaurants. These guys know their stuff and a very friendly and accommodating. Will be there again when in Rotorua
H.
Best Indian restaurant in town. Ray and his staff are the most gracious hosts which is why we have been going there for 20+years! Love your food Indian Star
S.
Me and my friends went to Rotorua for a wedding and we ordered food for 20 people. Was so much amazed with the quantity and quality. We all loved Semi Gravy Manchurian and the best was Dal Makhni. 100% must try!
F.
I have had many vegetarian curries over the years from many different Indian restaurants and Takeouts. Indian star beats any other hands down. Always fantastic courteous staff. Indian Star have always been 10/10 for food quality service and cleanliness. You guys rock.
R.
Really good food. Very ambient and relaxing
J.
I dined here just this evening, and
this is the best Indian cuisine I have ever had!
I enjoyed the chicken tikka, butter chicken, and mixed pakora.
The service, prices, portion sizes, and taste are all excellent and I am so pleased to recommend this establishment to anyone
S.
Damn this place is amazing 😍😍😍 and the tandoori combo is just fav especially the chicken tikka i just love it superb loved it
H.
Thoroughly enjoyed eating here with my husband.
Beautiful customer service also saw a wonderful sardar ji whom worked there with great customer service to the table next to us I will return to this lovely clean restaurant.
M.
Good but dinner plates very small. Others all rights. Thanku.
p.
Food good. Waiters too quick to take food away when we were still eating
D.
My boyfriend and I have been on vacation for his birthday. We are from Florida and we have yet to find a Indian place that has wowed us. This restaurant was AMAZING. Staff was beyond friendly, the area was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. We talked about it all night and even into the next day (we had to get Indian again because we were craving it). I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes good quality food at a good price!!!
A.
I recommend this restaurant to everyone who are visiting Rotorua and wanting to have a delicious meal. Bestest restaurant in town. I went with my friends there a week ago, I really want to thank Lovepreet for his fast and excellent customer service (with a great smile). He was very polite and kept on asking if anything else needed. 👌👌 Revisit= Yes for sure :)
F.
After seeing the previous reviews, I had to come and try the food (even on a freshly sprained ankle!). It didn’t disappoint and I loved it! Just wish I had more room in my stomach to fit it all in and try a dessert! My wife and I wanted a quick, but relaxed meal. We got this plus an excellent spiced Indian meal. We will return.
S.
Were not planned , just wanted to go to a new dine out and reached Indian Star. Simply loved this. The warm smiles all around and the perfect ambience were enough to shed off all the tiredness with which I had enetred this place last night with my family. And the food, chicken and paneer ( what else a Punjabi family can order for😀) was the best ever I had in Rotorua . All must go and try
B.
Delicious food and reasonably priced. The staff will always try and fit you in no matter how busy they are. The manager is a real character and the other front of house staff are great too.
M.
My daughter and I were very pleased to find a restaurant that caters for vegans. We had a lovely meal with our family (who are not vegan). The food was really tasty and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Great service, food and the price was a pleasant surprise. It was a lovely experience all round.
P.
Food was delicious here made from fresh ingredients. I loved the Dal Makhani, one of the best i have ever tasted. Definitely try the basmati pulav, it was beautifully cooked. The serving is plenty for 2 people and a child. Would definitely go here next time we are in Rotorua
I.
Hands down the best Indian food we have eaten in a long time. Ideally located just at the start of Eat Streat. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful to my family. The selection of food was great.
The banquets are definitely recommended - we tried the vegetarian and meat versions and were not disappointed at all.
L.
Went on my birthday with friends. The food was terrific the service amazing. Ray and his team certainly made it special. Thank you. Have been before, most definitely will be back.
S.
Possibly the best Indian restaurant that I have been to. Lovely service, delicious food. It felt like a very welcoming and enjoyable experience. 5 stars.
j.
Best Indian food in the North Island. I visit here regularly with my family and we have NEVER had a bad meal here. The food has been consistently excellent over the past 5 years we have been eating here and the manager / owner Ray is a true gentleman and family man. Cannot recommend this enough if you like Indian food. Please bear in mind that I am off British decent so I don't like my curries as sweet and sugary as Australians or New Zealanders, so if you like your curries sweet (I'm looking at you, butter chicken people) then I would be sure to specify that when ordering.
K.
Had a wonderful evening here with my girlfriend, the tandoori combo entree and curries were delicious. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The Naan are also fantastic and cooked in a proper tandoor oven which the owner was kind enough to give me a tour of.
E.
Really loved the food here. Asked for hot and it came out just about as hot as I like. They also did a nice kids butter chicken that was perfect for our two boys aged 4-5.
They had kingfisher on tap in 2 options
S.
Terrific food, and wonderful friendly service. Friend's birthday dinner, and she was made to feel really special. Our 'go to" Indian restaurant - always!
S.
Fantastic food, service and location. Great flavors and walk away feeling satisfied having had a substantial quality meal. Recommend this place big time.
l.
We found this restaurant on a cold wet Monday night and it was wonderful. Best curries ever for us, great service, and reasonable price. I cannot recommend too highly. Balti chicken and veg jalfrezi to die for!
Thank you Indian Star.
C.
It's in the Eat Street area of Rotorua . The food was very good and the service was good too. It's a popular place to eat at.
A.
Had prawns, good amount, tasty and clean.
M.
Indian Star Rotorua has got to be your first choice to experience superb food and service, either as a local or visitor to this fantastic part of our beautiful nation. You won't be disappointed!
G.
Very good Indian food. The mango chicken curry was a very good and flavorful dish. Naan bread was warm, soft and very tasty. Mango lassi very good as well. Would defined come back!
R.
Great service. Friendly staff. Great food and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if you are into Indian food or want to try another type of cuisine.
L.
Great food and ambiance, loved the food without any over cream and colors. Slow cooked dal makhni was the best. Portions are small but worth going there for the great indian food.
D.
Went with my friend for a quick bite that turned into an amazing dinner. All the dishes we extremely well balanced and not overpowering. I thought i liked indian food but this place made me fall in love with it. And the desserts oh myyyyy gulab jamun was the star of the night!!! I had no place for the dessert but we ordered two and have no regrets. Will be back and will be bringing more friends with me :)
M.
Very full with big parties including a number of Indian families. Staff were mostly Indian too, which is a good signal it will be authentic food. Sure enough it was an interesting menu with well known dishes and some novel alternatives. Excellent service.
V.
Service was top notch and so was the food. The place was recommended by a friend so I gave it a try. Im sure ill be back for more.
The place is kept very clean and presentable.
Very professional waiter we had too.
R.
I went to this restaurant on the 4th of August with my family and really really enjoyed it. I'm only 13 but immediately realised how professional this was. The owner greeted us at the door and showed us tables; he made sure that we were nice and comfortable. They gave us complimentary poppadums which was nice to have while waiting. When our food came I had chosen the butter chicken with naan and it was gorgeous! It tasted so good that I just couldn't stop (I was glad they gave me a generous amount). The service was great as they would come in to individual tables to check if they were okay; they even gave me some chocolate as I said I'd write a review :). So to sum up:
1. The service was perfect
2. The food was immaculate
3. The spot was really nice
I would most definitely come here again and I urge you to too if you are in the area.
B.
Great menu, very good quality Indian. Options for more or less spicy, so if you have someone in your party who is a little wary of spice, it's still good. Best for dinner I think. Well heated.
v.
Good Indian food. Variety and good service.
C.
We love the food and service. The price is right and the portion size is perfect, enough to take home for lunch as well.
N.
Good food , reasonable price. Recommended
L.
Very busy when we dined there, with staff constantly reorganizing seating to accommodate the various groups that walked in. Good food and great service. Thank you.
K.
Was a really great takeaway, and didn't take long at all, even at 7:30pm on a public holiday. The nann breads were delicious and all the curries were tasty and very different. Received great service from the restaurant when ordering and all the staff were very friendly. We will happily come back again the next time we're in Rotorua!
C.
The service here is very good. There is one female server who is very good at her job. We ordered a lamb biryani and a chicken biryani, the Male server bringing out the food only gave us one dish of yoghurt. Without us even asking, the female server brought over another dish of yoghurt. The lamb biryani was a bit on the spicy side for me, but with the yoghurt it was great. Both biryani were very tasty!! Their mango lassi was also very good.
T.
We enjoyed the banquet meal here last night, and it was fantastic. Service was slightly let us down, would have been helpful to know that we could have had chosen garlic or cheese naan instead of plain and if we had a choice of Curry's that come out.
Otherwise a lovely night.
M.
We are just out of peak season and the place was only partly filled. The food was definitely very good. We tried a range of dishes and none of them disappointed us. Rice isn't free - you have to order it: but the staff prompted us, in case we hadn't read it on the menu.
The staff were helpful enough, and we were able to understand each other just fine.
The price was OK: in line with other restaurants in the area, and so was the drinks selection.
A solid choice for a meal out, despite the conflicting reviews.
J.
When my partner suggested this place to come eat for a romantic dinner, I was skeptical... But with some convincing, I'm so glad he picked it! Best curry I've had in a long time and you've got to try the cheese garlic naan, it's to die for
S.
Perhaps the best goat curry we had in a long time. We are Indians and were visiting the city and we can definitely vouch for this place. The starter (the non vegetarian platter) was a little mild for our taste but that is probably because we did not specify that we'd like to have it authentic spicy style (which we did for the goat curry). Definitely a place worth going to. Do ask for food to be cooked typical indian style if you want the chef to show is true magic.
G.
Food was not what I expected. Classic butter chicken was like butter chicken +1kg of sugar on top. Extremely sweet, Yuk!
I ordered prawn curry ( Cant remember exact name of the meal from menu), but it was so bland.
Wouldn't go there back.
D.
If you want an Indian meal then Indian Star is you destination.
The service here is 100% perfect. The food is great. Ray, the owner makes it his lifes work to ensure everything is the best it can be.
You will never be disappointed after a meal here.
M.
Excellent experience. We went with 5 children and the staff made a big fuss of them. The food was great and our waiter even suggested smaller portions for the little ones. They did not try to force more portions of rice than we needed helping us to work it out with just enough food for every one. One of the best..
G.
I guess I didn't order the right meal. I ordered Goat Biryani - my all time fave dish - but it wasn't up to the standard. It wasn't spicy even though I ordered medium. Goat meat, though, was tender and we'll cooked. Rice quality wasn't that great. It's a decent place but nothing to rave about. It was busy for dinner - apparently a popular spot with tourists.
J.
Great Indian food and great service with friendly staff. My partner took me out for a meal and we had a lovely time.
Great venue and decor, and definitely good value for money. Will be coming back again.
T.
Can't fault the customer service, the staff are friendly and helpful. My partner and I got a sweet mango lassi, which was indeed quite sweet. I had the chicken vindaloo, was very tasty. My partner had the butter chicken which she noted was very sweet, but the chicken is to a good quality. The rice for curries is a slight extra cost but once you spend over a certain amount you get two complimentary poppadoms. A very busy Saturday night but the staff dedinitely managed to keep up with more groups arriving. Would go back!
U.
Awesome food.
Taste like home.
Do visit if you want to try some authentic indian food.
G.
Fantastic food at a reasonable price 👌
C.
Great food. Very affordable and friendly service. Opened my bottle of wine for me and made us feel very welcome. More than willing to accommodate my partner's request to put what she couldn't eat into a bag for later. Great place to eat! Definitely a place I'd come back to!!
m.
Just got home from dinner at this restaurant. Wow what a beautiful meal and lovely staff. I 100% recommend the goat curry it's the best curry I've had in years. Thanks guys well done😀
K.
Very wonderful evening with a friends at indian star. Highly recommend this place and would like to visit again. The staff were very welcoming with a smile which makes a great impression. Overall it was worth visiting. Thanks indian star.
G.
The Best Chicken Saag I've ever had
R.
One of the best indian restaurant in rotorua. A great taste of all the indian spices and variety. Wonderful staff and service. I highly recommend this to everyone. A special thanks to the chiefs( thanku soo much to remember us the real taste of indian food, very well done job👍👍) 😊😊😋😋😋
A.
We went to this Indian restaurant on a Sunday evening and the food was great. The portion is just right with good presentation and authentic flavour. The service from the stuff were nice and we're happy with the dinner overall.
P.
Another restaurant that I can thoroughly recommend having visited each time we visited Rotoroua. It was no problem to have a wonderful spicy curry without chillies prepared for me. My wife's tandoori chicken was also wonderful and such a large portion the we had it an a roll for lunch the following day. There are lots of places to eat on this street, fjis is my favorite.
m.
Amazing food , amazing staff and amazing service Nice arrangements , Nice ambience really wants to come it again next time with group.
Good luck , see you again
M.
Amazing food, great service, and Kingfisher on tap...the food and flavours are top quality here, which is tough to find a place that does really good quality Indian food! Reasonably priced considering the location and great service from the team. Family friendly and relaxing environment.
D.
Excellent food, excellent hospitality. The best Indian in town, in the heart of Eat Streat, I would highly recommend a visit
R.
Great food and wonderful customer service :)
T.
I had to come two days in a row, the food was that good. Nice staff were helpful in choosing a meal. A great selection of vegetarian choices made it a great night to eat out.
M.
This was a wonderful place to stumble upon while on honeymoon. While the delicious food all over NZ was great, vegetarian options were hard to find and, more often then not, was gnocchi. The options here were varied, authentic, and delicious; not to mention at a great price!
B.
Only Indian restaurant I've been to where you order your rice separate which I guess if your on a low carb diet to good.
$5.00 happy hour wine and beer was good if you go between 5 and 6.30pm
Y.
Great varied menu. A taste to suit every pallet. Found the service a bit sketchy for a large group with food not arriving at the table simultaneously, having to wait for things like naan and roti. When it did finally arrive, food was good though. Menu not halaal, only the chicken dishes.
S.
The best Indian FOOD ever! Our server advised which curries had an inherent sweet taste and which ones did not so we could order the correct level of chili or spiciness. Excellent!! The naan bread was amazing and Devine. We have always visited indian star whenever we come down from Auckland. This is our 7th trip and without fail this is the best indian cuisine anywhere in nz. Would be up there from the north indian restaurants we have been to back home in India. Highly recommended and we also saw the owner doing the rounds of the tables as every time before. Down to earth humble guy with amazing staff who are not intrusive but just know when to pop up and offer a refill of the beer! Highly RECOMMENDED!!
P.
Excellent kebab but not horrible biriyani also prawns are not fresh
H.
I'm Indian and I'm quite satisfied with the food, quality, quantity and service. Go discuss your expectations with Kunal; he shall look after you. If you are rushing; you won't be disappointed; that much I can bet on.
S.
Banquet is very filling, great service. Yummy butter chicken.
a.
Delicious food and service was amazing
R.
Great food at a reasonable price. Varied menu and excellent quality.
C.
Staff was too friendly. Great customer service and offcourse great food. Definitely visit again.
T.
One of the busiest Indian food joint in Rotorua. Part of the trendy food street located next to the lakeside promenade. Popular among westerners and Indian tourists. Extensive North Indian menu. Service could be slow in busy hours. Advanced reservations recommended.
D.
Very accommodating. Made a milder korma which was extremely tasty. Garlic nam was a little oily but really tasty and perfect for wiping the plate. Staff were extremely friendly and courtious. Pretty reasonably priced. Would certainly consider another visit.
N.
Delicious food, friendly staff
H.
Great experience, prompt and awesome customer service, every waiter and waitress were an absolute delight. Naan bread was delicious and butter chicken was scrumptious.
H.
Amazing setup, Hitesh was awesome to provide the great service, kids friendly. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.
L.
Came here with some mates on our last night in Rotorua. Can honestly say one of the best curry experiences i’ve had. Incredibly polite staff, and the curry was phenomenal.
T.
Fast, friendly, well run business. Lovely clean toilets. Always a great place to dine.
p.
Loved it. Will go again.
J.
Excellent lunch time specials. Highly recommend, helpful staff.
Great service.
A.
Courteous and friendly front of house staff, good quality food and perfect location. Highly recommended
K.
Loved the food, great staff attitude and probably the best valued restaurant at eat street!
J.
Take out order tonight while visiting Rotorua. Possibly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. If only there were more restaurants in Rotorua this good! Keep it up!
J.
Excellent food and service. Outdoor or indoor tables available. We ate outdoors - nice ambience. We had prawn Malabari (medium) and Karahi chicken (hot) with excellent pulau rice and naan. Good prices. Unreservedly recommended. (February 2018)
R.
This is my favourite Indian restaurant ever. Whenever I go in I always feel welcomed and valued. Service is always top notch and the food fantastic. I won't buy Indian food from anywhere else.
H.
All our dishes we're perfect just the right amount of spice for or New Zealand taste buds. The service was fast and friendly we come here often and haven't been disappointed yet.
G.
Best Idian I've had in a long time. The food was so yum!! and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Look forward to revisiting :)
A.
While my visit I tried this place multiple times and it always had that consistent quality and good taste. The ambience is average but the food taste is good and that is what is expected to have from indian restaurant outside India.
R.
This is like the first place you see on Eat Street, but look no further. This place serves some amazing North Indian food, infact better than many restaurants back in India as well.
The service is quick and courteous. The ambiance is pretty cool.
We ordered some Paneer Kadhai and Stuffed Kulcha and it blew our minds off. It was so authentic as if we're eating in North Indian Amritsari Dhaba. There are plenty of vegetarian options here as well and its not heavy on the pocket as well.
A great place to dine at, don't miss this restaurant if you're in Rotorua.
S.
The service was prompt and the food was good. I particularly enjoyed the garlic butter naan and the malai kofta curry. The gulab jamun dessert was such a treat to end the evening~

The most flavorful Indian food we have ever had. The cheese chilli entree was incredible - a real taste sensation. The Chicken Bhaji was superb, as was the Aloo Gobi. The basmati rice was light and fluffy and the naan bread freshly made and non-chewy. Wine prices were very reasonable. Total cost 76.00. Food coma time!
