nando's is the home of the best chicken for me. lots of nice flavour and aroma. we love the different levels of spiciness of their sauces. spacious and cosy ambiance. took good 30 minutes before they served our order though.only 2 staff on and im not sure if they are prioritizing uber orders than dine-in customers.

Although food was great, the service was not. Waited an hour for our meals to arrive and on top of that, the restaurant ran out of rice, so no paella for me, had to change my order…. So a little disappointed… especially since we had 2 hungry children with us.

If you like spicy chips like I do - Peri Peri chips, done extra well with extra peri peri salt - so good! But their pita was underwhelming, for how great/satisfying it sounded ordering. Ah well, can't have it all for the price.

"How grilled chicken should be!" Peri-peri is a chain restaurant that offers great grilled chicken cooked according to your desired spicy level. What really sells it for me is their attention to the quality of their food. They marinate their chicken for atleast 24 hours before grilling and they cook it just right, avoiding the chicken to get dry. Their Rotorua, New Zealand branch has a great ambience just like any other Peri-peri restaurant. Its clean, bright, and well ventilated. A whole chicken with with one large side costs $32.50. You can have half and half flavors which is great. Their whole chicken is roughly 8 slices which feeds up to 2-3 hungry hungry hippos! Advice: get the non-spicy flavors for the chicken, they've got sauces on the side that you can get which they also use for cooking. This way you can control as to how spicy your chicken will be and not ruining the whole experience if by getting the hottest level. Why the 4 stars? They dont have enough staff. It was dinner rush when we got there and they only got 1 front of house staff which also doubles as a waiter and cashier. This just tells something about the management. This also puts too much pressure on that one staff and increases the chances of subpar performance. A 5-star restaurant should not just have good food but also should have good management.

This was a really nice place to come for our tea. I had a vegetarian burger and chips and it was very tasty. The atmosphere was fun and colourful with great art and so it was a really nice experience. They had plenty of food options to choose from, lots of drinks and everything seemed clean.

One of the best Nandos chains till now! Its nice, spacious and very clean. It was empty but the waiters were very nice and polite. When the order was made, extra sauce and extra mayo was put into the burger and were generous as well as the peri peri salt. The food was all fresh and is definitely the best Nando to date!

Nanny's is a bright and cheerful place. Lots of tables with a mixture of four seat tables to larger tables to sit bigger numbers. Service is good with pleasant staff. Food spicy and tasty and at reasonable prices.

Was weary to try Nando's after reading all the negative reviews, but we saw that they had just redone the inside and figured we might as well give it a shot. Wow! Loved it. Restaurant was clean and stylish, service was above and beyond (welcomed warmly, personally brought the hot sauces to our table, and checked on us), and the food was great! Super fresh and flavorful. They even had a special going that got us another 1/2 chicken for free?! OK! :) I'm still craving the delicious sauce, and might have to stop in and buy a bottle to keep at home. Thanks!

The chicken is amazing! One of the tastiest I’ve ever eaten. I came here after they had a revamp, and the interior looked extremely nice. Would’ve given a 5 but, the service was bad. We waited for 30 minutes after we ordered to actually get our food. Highly recommend if you don’t mind waiting. Maybe I’ll come back, just at a less busy time.

Dear Samantha i am absolutely disagree with your views about Nandos Rotorua. we were served wonderfully. I went there a week ago with my mother and sister , i am from Canada don't know much about restaurants here. Guys helped me allot and being so nice. There service is awesome. So yummy food best chips i ever had and too fast service. Cheap coffees but better den anywhere else.. I think we served by Indian girls and they being so nice with us. My mother and sister was so happy. we enjoyed it so much. Even they asked us do we like the food and cakes. Thats so nice of them and good value of money. we were fully satisfied they made our day.. thanks for that :))))) you guys best in town

It was rather disappointing to visit the Rotorua outlet of Nando's. For one, the chicken was a tad burnt. The order took way too long despite the place not being overly busy, the tables weren't cleared of food not even after we had left the previous diner's dishes on an adjacent table. The fries were a tad too spicy too. It was my first trip here and probably the last

Food was bang on. My friend and I ordered one chicken dish and one salad and shared it between us for a tasty, nourishing and inexpensive meal. Spicy, delicious and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Service very poor, we waited ages before we got our food even then when the food was brought to us, they didn't bring out wat we ordered at the same time,how can we Start eating, with only half our order delivered? Nando's always delicious, who doesn't like the peri-peri sauce? I love the paintings in the restaurant interior, reminds me of my time back in Africa, very colorful and dynamic.

Typical Nando's, good chicken, decent prices and ok surroundings. Some of the booth tables need a facelift, the faux-leather seats are slashed to pieces. The service is quite slow, waiting nearly 30mins for 2 lunch meals is a bit long for this kind of food. I had the superfood salad chicken on toasted pitta, very tasty, I would recommend.

We really enjoyed the vegetarian burger, salad and peri peri fries. The extra hot sauce is superb and a treat accompaniment. If you're a vegetarian/looking for some spicy food, then this is a place for you. There's a lunch & dinner special here at NZD 9.9 and NZD 14.9 which offers good value for money. However, we felt that the quantity of servings served for the specials was lesser than what we have seen at other outlets, so be wary about it. Otherwise, a fine outlet with good service.

Visited this Nandos in Dec 2016, and it is probably the best Nandos restaurant I have been to in New Zealand. The service was really friendly, orders came out on time, food was amazing. Couldn't ask for better!

Nandos is best place if you are a chicken lover. The quality of food is well maintained. Suituated near to the Eat street. Indoors and outdoors tables available. There might be little problem with parking because its a busy street and parkings are not available, so just take a walk to Nandos and enjoy your meal and then spend some time near the city lake. Its beautiful.
