Liked the early opening on Sunday for lunch. We got there a bit before 11:30 and greeted by the owner. Fast and efficient service, we ordered bbq and the meat came in less than 10min, along with the chicken. The meat was superb, marinated and tender. Korean dumplings were amazing too. There is a little Korean shop on the side covering the basics. Certainly a great place to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine!

Find that Seoul is the best korean dining experience in Rotorua with such a welcoming lovely funny hostess and quality deliciously tasty food either kitchen made or diy bbq we only ever go here when we need to scratch our spicy bulgogi itch. yum

Lovely, clean restaurant with a great atmosphere. We had the $25 buffet BBQ lunch. It was great value for money. Customer service was spot on & the staff were very helpful, smiley & efficient. We would def come back again!

First time yesterday at this korean bbq and they did not disappoint. The food was so good and the sauces were yum. Staff very friendly and we got in with our vaccine pass no long wait.

We feel like home when eating here as the hospitality shown both the owner and her staff is so awesome! The amazing dinner Korean BBQ special is on reasonable price ($27 per person, $15 for 5-10YO, under 4 is free). For visitors coming to Rotorua, do include this restaurant as 1 of places to find food. We had the most delicious and generous Korean bbq feast among three of us in the family on our holiday to Rotorua a week ago. The bbq and side dishes blew our minds in size and flavor! We ordered 2 x Korean bbq and one bibimbap and couldn't finish all the meat between two adults and one 7 year old hungry boy but if you have a big tummy, you might be able to! This place is screaming that they are specialized in bbq even from their windows so if you are not an experienced Korean food eater, go with meat on bbq. These people are hardworking people showing up at their work putting up good dishes to their locals and visitors from all around NZ despite the hardship COVID19 has put them through. Be a fair customer when you leave a review.

Food was good, but there wasn't many pork pieces in my meal despite having free top ups on the side dishes

Side dishes are pretty good, nice environment. But people who has big appetite may not feel satisfied, the portion is a little bit small.

We (group of 25) were here at Seoul Restaurant, Rotorua last July and we had an awesome experience. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Unlimited meat, rice and side dishes for a mere price of $27/adult and 10years above and $15 for 5-9years old, under 5 years old are FREE!

Seoul Restaurant are all about giving their very best to their guests and this is expressed through a genuine spirit of hospitality. We frequent Korean restaurants and cafe wherever we go in our travels and we were very impressed with the food quality, flavours, presentation and meal sizes. Korean food has become a very reliable, wholesome and widely popular choice of dining for whanau and friends, professional groups, as well as introducing to your guests who have not tried Korean cuisine before. As a Kiwi Maori whanau, who have enjoyed Korean Kai for nearly 20 years, I highly recommend Seoul Restaurant in Rotorua. The kimchi pancake was the largest we have ever been served and was packed with tasty kimchi. It wasn’t oily and was exceptionally crispy for the amount of kimchi...5 Stars

Went there several times and after the owner changes, it improves. Now the taste of the food is better, I personally don't really like the side dish because it's cold (except for kimchi) but yes, GO! They have beautiful bbq, so why not?

Stunning food! We were served by a friendly old gentleman who really cared that we had a good time. The only reason I held off one star is due to small details, get some new menus printed off, do some spring cleaning and I'll happily give it 5 stars!! New favorite restaurant!

I came to this restaurant before but my second experience was the best! The new owner is nice and friendly gave such big portions of food and the side dishes improved sooo much! Visited today and had Kimchi cassrole and spicy pork. These people knows how to make good authentic Korean food. Side dishes were good too... good sign that main dish will taste good as well. Almost as good as Korean food from back home in Los Angeles's.

It was surprisingly authentic and delicous. Portion is so generous and really good vibe here. The Ahjumma kept checking on all tables make sure everyone happy. We underestimate the portion and ended with happy belly that almost explode. Been to almost all korean restaurant in Auckland and all in Queenstown. This has rated number 2 for us after an old place in Queenstown. Yumm

Awesome service from friendly staff and comfortable environment for the whole family. Only tasted a couple of dishes so far but all sides, fried rice and pork bulgogi were amazing. Spice lovers may want to mention it when ordering, I gave a four star because my spicey pork was a little mild.

Probably the best Korean restaurant I’ve been to whilst traveling throughout Australia and New Zealand. I had the kimchi jjigae and pork bulgogi with my partner, and it was absolutely perfect. Portion, taste of food, friendly staff, all great! I heard the owner changed and the family has been running it for about 2 months. If you come to Rotorua and your craving Korean food or even just a restaurant with good food and service, go check it out!!!

The most heart-warming meals i'd ever had in NZ. The food was delicious and authentic cooked by a Korean Ahjumma. Food choices are considerably myriad. The restaurant owner was also very friendly and kind to us. Update: Revisit it again in sept 2018. Food was prepared by the staffs instead of the Ahjumma. The taste of the food was not in par with what i had tasted during my first visit. Potato pancake was terrible and thick. However, customer service is still very good.

The next day, I had a BBQ infinite refill for lunch, but the beef, pork, and chicken were all delicious without lacking anything! Meat, side dishes, and rice continued to be refilled indefinitely, so I ate a lot and enjoyed them. In particular, pickled onions and green onions were really nice and tasted by my mom.
