It was our first time in Rotorua and tried this Vietnamese restaurant because of the good reviews. And oh boy, we really loved their food that we ate there twice! We tried their Lemongrass Pork Chop + Crispy Chicken + Fried Noodles with Chicken / Pork and all were good and portion was big. Would love to go back here when we visit Rotorua again.

Very happy with the food and the prices were reasonable. They were very busy when we arrived but we still got our food in a pretty reasonable time. The drinks were a little syrupy and I couldn't finish mine and the bench seat was a little hard, but overall very happy and would recommend to others.

We walked into this rest when we ran out of choices so randomly encountered this. To be honest food was average, have tasted better venanmese food. What attracted me the most was the 4 prints on top of the counter, I felt true serenity. Been starring at them for a long time. Will I be back? Prob no, but I will remember those prints for sure

I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try Vietnamese food in Rotorua. It's a small restaurant but very authentic. Vietnamese spring rolls are different from Chinese spring rolls that are transparent in appearance. The shrimp in the spring rolls is very fresh and the dip so yummy. You can try a lot of good Vietnamese food for very little money. This is a restaurant I'm sure to visit next time I'm in Rotorua.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Rotorua! Walked in with warm greetings, friendly service, fast servings, affordable meals, and of course amazing food. Spicy beef noodle soup was good, the beef were very tender and had nice texture. Fried rice was very tasty, and great portion too. Loved the iced coffee, must try if you like sweetened coffee. Great location, easy parking, but there is only a few seatings available inside. Anyway, highly recommended :)

Affordable, good size serves make this a great place to satisfyingly cure a hunger without breaking your budget. The meals are served quick and staff are friendly. The Pho is $14-16, spring rolls and starters around $7-9.

Restaurant was busy when we ate dinner here and seating was in short supply as it is a small building, however they do have an easy to read menu with some good solid Vietnamise staples. The Phin filter coffee packs a powerful caffeine kick - something you don't find too often in New Zealand.

We walked past this on our way to Rotorua Duck Tour along Fenton Street. This caught our attention with the crowd and the lovely aroma. We decided to drop by this place for lunch on the day. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who offered us a menu as we waited for our seats. Within 10 minutes we got our seats and the food arrive shortly. We ordered pho (Vietnamese noodles), Vietnamese springrolls and Vietnamese drip coffee. The food was outstanding, especially the clear broth with a good portion of vegetables (bean sprouts to be exact). The glass noodles were cooked nicely, slippery, soft - causing a tendency to slurp (which is a great thing). The broth felt light but tasty, not overly salty. The beef was tender and nice. We made the mistake to keep the beef too long in the soup, causing some of the latter pieces to be tougher. At the same time, the non fried spring roll was really nice. All of us preferred this to the crispy one we ordered. The coffee was a nice and sweet ending to the meal. In fact, it was so good that we returned for dinner. One of the stand out dish was the grilled pork with rice. The meat was flavourful and went well with the sweet chilli sauce provided. It was no wonder that there was a good number of customers who ordered this. Clearly one of the signature dishes of the restaurant. We finished our dinner slightly past their closing hours but they did not hurry us at all. By the way, this restaurant offered free wifi and of course, my first world kids loved it. highly recommended.

Excellent pho. The broth was light and delicious, full of flavour. I had the spicy lemongrass beef (can't remember the actual name) pho, while my partner had the original pho. My noodles were the round type, abit on the soft side, but still tasty. Hers were flat rice noodles and were perfect.

I'm currently pregnant but I'm not making this review out of my craving pregnancy hormones. 😁 Honestly, Vnam Kitchen is by far the best Vietnamese restaurant I've been to! Me and my friends just couldn't have enough of their savory steamed chicken pho, yummy fried rice and to-die-for chicken in fish sauce! We have been visiting this place almost every week and even before I got pregnant. The staff are very friendly and proactive to the needs of their customers. Special mention to Jackie, one of the Front of the House staff. She is a gem to the place who knows what quality service is. Highly recommended restaurant in Rotorua!

Very good authentic vietnamese cuisine conveniently located in the main street of the city centre. Plenty of parking. Food quality is really good and decently priced. The spicy beef noodle is highly recommended. If you have kids, you can also ask for an extra serving of noodles that comes with soup for just $3!

Stumbled upon this place by accident since the other restaurants were either full or closed during our visit to Rotorua. The place is small and unassuming, clean and convenient location. Surprisingly good food and reasonably priced. The menu is varied and just the have the right selection from entree, side dish to rice dish and noodle dishes. The food came out quick and the server was helpful. The satay chicken is yum. The serving of the pho noodles is generous and very tasty. The fried rice has lots of shrimps and well seasoned. What is odd is you have to order on the counter and pay for the food straight away but that's alright. I recommend this place if you are looking for cheap and great Vietnamese food with fast service. The only challenge will be the seating if you are a big group since the restaurant will probably only sit around 40 people.

Lemongrass chicken stir-fry 10/10. Would have to say the best Vietnamese dish I've had. We also had their special drinks that were like mocktails also 10/10. Fresh spring rolls were good as was crispy chicken, but not the stand out the lemon grass was - packs a mild punch which was unexpected but delicious. If I lived in Rotorua this would be a favourite.
