G.Been to this place several times now, both times the food has been excellent. Service too is excellent.
Highly recommend the Taihape one, but the Waiouru one is pretty good too.
Off road parking, and entry of it.

B.Highly recommend, we had the dry aged O.P rib steak and the T bone and both where excellent 👌
(Bathroom was also very nice and clean)
M.Great restaurant, well presented with a variety of dishes and cute themed decor. Tasty food and drinks but could do with better seasoning options and service from wait staff could be improved on. Overall a good dinner spot.

T.we stayed the weekend in taihape. after seeing this place on mytaihape.com the other day we were told on the website that there food is good and i can say yes the food is delicious and will be stopping there again if im passing through. awesome recommendation from mytaihape.com and the service was amazing

C.Amazing food. We were traveling through and rang our order through it was ready perfectly on time. My lamb was delicious and tender and pork salad amazing. We have stopped here quite a few times and Brooke our young waitress said as we were about to leave "have you left toy motor bikes here before? My son's eyes lit up, she said I'll just go and check up stairs...and he was reunited with his bikes 🏍 about 6 months later. You Rock Brooke. Excellent service.

A.I was very very pleasantly surprised just how tasty my meal was. I planned to eat at the Eating House in Waiouru but found closed for evenings at present.
Then found the steak house in Taihape . Nice spot.
But not really wanting a steak had a salad. So very very pleased I did. Super tasty, pork, roasted veges, couscous.....wow. great.
Saw their agreed steaks, and they look superb.
Lovely un pretentious setting.
So I will be back and try again.

H.Lovely surroundings terrific food and friendly staff I brought some of my Cobb loaf home when my son n law asked my daughter what she was eating her reply was the best garlic bread I've ever had. Oh it was lovely the steak was cooked to perfection

P.The best steaks we ever had! Done to perfection! You might think it is expensive, but it is so worth! Very friendly staff. I could only suggest to staff to be more attentive. Next tim we will travel nearby we will definitely pop in to enjoy best steaks!

P.What a wonderful intimate place, the choice of steaks is amazing and although they have cooking recommendations it really is up to you. Two grown men eating steak, drinking beer and wine and enjoying appetizers for $120.00. Great value
A.Enjoyed the tasting platter, which had a great selection. They were happy to also manage gluten free changes. A range of options for kids and a party area. Lovely bathroom facilities. Just across from the gumboot 🙂
V.Stopped here for dinner. Service was excellent. Decor was really nice too. Unfortunately I ordered the ribs... pretty clear it’s not their expertise. Ribs were originally baked too far over, probably refrigerated and reheated for my order so came out cold. I sent them back - again, service was awesome and friendly - very receptive. I unfortunately this time the ribs came back WELL over done. But they were $16, so if you’re not phased - convenient place to stop with plenty of options and great service - just don’t go fantasising about ribs!

L.Had mince in toast nice. staff attentive and helpful one day I will come back and get one of the dry or wet aged steaks cooked thst sit displayed in fridge. This is a nice understated renovation of the building as well I know it was gutted and new equipment put in good job

A.As soon as we came in I was impressed the deco was beautiful there were Christmas trees everywhere and a gingerbread house in the corner that was made out of real ingredients and it was the size of me actually even bigger plus if that wasn't enough they made the Best burgers in the world I strongly recommend this restaurant to everyone 👍🍴😊

T.Went with my girlfriends for a weekend had dinner at this restaurant. The service was delightful and friendly cost was acceptable good value for your money. Food was on par delicious. Atmosphere was warm cost and inviting. Will definitely revisit. One of our guests had broken her arm and they cut her meat up. Beyond nice.
