Fantastic service from Ranger who is probably the most polite waitress I have ever met. I see a 5 star dining future for her. We had the very delicious Traffic Jam, an adult version of the traffic light drink I enjoyed as a kid. The menu looks great and I didn’t realise they service Angus beef steaks and burgers. We will be back for a meal

Who knew you could taste nostalgia? Great fun at at a childhood favourite not visited in 30 odd years. Fantastic staff and service also who knew how to play the nostalgia game and contribute to the overall experience.

Thank you to Peter and the team for the best birthday dinner ever and for making the birthday girl and her birthday feel so special. Perfect customer service from Richmond who was an awesome and friendly host and for bringing out a little birthday cake which made it even nore perfect !! The food was also great, tasted so yummy and the mushroom sauce was to die for. Even though we just booked on the night they took us in and they were still very accomodating to me and our group. Thank you again for the great night guys !!

Came for a family dinner with two kids. All the staff and manager were super friendly and helpful. The food was fast to arrive and perfectly cooked. Couldn’t fault them at all. Also had a great range of drinks even had craft beer on tap. Hope you guys keep it up, hopefully we’ll see a Cob & Co in Auckland some time :)

Decided to treat the children to a meal for the last night of our holiday. The lamb rump and veg was delicious, yummy!! However, my daughter's fish tasted rotten. t wasn't the type of fish like the staff member tried to tell me. But anyway, apart from that the atmosphere was good, quiet and next time we're in Taupō we'll be coming back. Oh and the children's mocktails were so neat, a nice touch to their meal. Cute puddings, good serving size.

Food was good. Kids were happy with their drinks and desserts. There was a kids corner which had toys and games that our kids enjoyed. This is family friendly restaurant that I would recommend to every family going through taupo.

Great family restaurant with strong nostalgia for the grown-ups. The Cobb and co format always worked really well for families looking for something nice, great to see it back after these years. The kids love everything about it and my wife and I enjoyed a stress-free lunch. Will 100% go back next time we are in Taupo

It was ok, quite expensive for what you get. Would have been nice if we had been given plates with the bread. The fish was nice but the chips tasted like they had been sitting around under lights for quite a few hours and there was no follow up service after the mains were served. Oh and it's probably not such a good idea to ask people if they are seniors.

Had a nice meal here. Super speedy in the entrees, a little slower on the mains, but not too long. Food was ok. Quantity was good, but a little on the bland side for me. Kids meals and deserts were good and the kids were occupied with some colouring in til the food came. Staff were friendly and attentive.

My roast pork meal was a small portion for nearly $28. Overall all meals were eatable but we left unsatisfied with the cost especially.

A fantastic nolstegic trip to share with your friends, family, and children. The first familer thing that gets you is the dark wood booth decor. The next is the simple but all the favorites menu. Even the kids menu looked exciting in a nolstegic way. If you are into steaks, this is the place for you, but there are other exciting things on the menu. Even vegetarian and gluten free options. The staff are amazing, they are quick and efficient, and very helpful. Within 5 mins of ordering, the kids had their Cobb puffs and Traffic Light drinks, and within 10 mins they had their meal. The staff know kids don't like waiting. We waited a further 10 minutes and we were eating mains. Excellent work Everyone. The dinner was perfectly executed, including the medium rare 500g scotch fillet and the Chicken Alexandra was well cooked but not dry. The Sarah was an excellent accomplement to the steak, while the kids loved the iconic Traffic Lights. Deserts were again all very familer, but done to modern standards. The lemon tarts is very tangy and must have been freshly made as it was warm rather than usually ice cold. The Triple Chocolate Cheesecake with berry sauce was sublime. Overall it was a plesent evening, done to perfection, as it should be when you are restarting an Kiwi icon. This is indeed a way to ensure the next generation of kiwis get fond memories of going to Cobb n Co.

Food was nice but the service was fairly slow considering the lack of patrons in the restaurant at the time. We had to ask for table to be cleared, and for one kids icecream to be served, and still waited another 20min before it arrived.

Had a lovely meal.staff were really friendly. I noticed if it was your birthday you could receive some deal.so I asked about it,as it was my birthday and was told we needed four people to attend but they brought me out this lovely cake and singing me happy birthday which was so lovely and yes exciting. The steak was cooked too perfection. So nice to go out and get what you ordered. I will be back when I'm in taupo again.

We had a table of twelve for Sunday lunch, without booking ahead. We just walked in off the street. The staff seated us reasonably quickly, took our orders and got our food out at a good speed. They were friendly and helpful, providing a good effective service. The food was nice without being particularly flashy. The chips were warm, they would have been better hot. The decor was classic Cobb & Co; a bit dark and heavy with lots of interesting spaces inside. The outdoor area looked nice. There is a play area, with x-boxes and toys, for kids.

Not my first choice of steak house in Taupo. The service was good and the meals were prepared rather quickly, however the food was just not up to scratch for the premium prices. My salad was missing the advertised dressing and my friend had to ask for the steak sauce he ordered. The three scallops in the entre were way over cooked, super chewy and served including the row or coral. The roast dinner was modest but quite nice. The restaurant has free wifi and good air conditioning. B- at best.

Food is really good and so are the desserts. I come here regularly but avoid coming on busy nights as the waiting can be very long. Staff is very friendly and attentive. If you are in Taupo this place offers great steak, fish and chips and desserts for those with a sweet tooth

Really enjoyed my Caesar salad it was very nice, hate that I had to pay extra for the chicken even though and I didn’t have the anchovy‘s or egg, the red grapefruit drink was really nice. Half way through we had to move tables as it was getting cold outside, we moved inside and was assigned another server as our one was going on his lunch break we then waited around 20min for a server to come take our dessert order, I had to ask him to come over and even then the desert wasn’t out of this world amazing either the apple pie was Luke warm but pleasant enough. Price was a bit steep for what we got. Regardless it was decent just won’t go there again any time soon.

Our waitress for the evening was lovely and polite, she made our night worthwhile. I asked If they had any gluten free beer and she asked her manager which ones were, he said all of the beer was gluten free. A quick Google search revealed that in fact none of their beers were gluten free, which was not great. Steak was chewy and didn't have much flavor for a $40 meal but partners ribs were good.

Friendly greeting for non reservation patrons. Clean and bright. Clear menu for those with food difficulties. Great choices for those with gluten and dairy issues. We both enjoyed the grilled lamb on mash. Thick cut of meat , yummy perfectly cooked carrots and Brussel sprouts. Generous portions without overdoing it. Friendly and helpful service. Fish tanks and small play area for young children and activity place mats like in the 'old days ' I thoroughly recommend this place for families and couples both. We were at the door when they opened and the staff were extremely well mannered and very welcoming. We were seated immediately and given the full run down of the menus. A great dinner for the whole family. The kids meals are great value and come with dessert. The beer battered fish and chips was fresh with a crumbly batter...the salad was dressed with a nice dressing.

The wings were awesome! I absolutely loved it. However the pork roast meal was a bit of a let down. The crackling wasn't salted, the meat had to flavour to it, and the gravy lacked taste. Other than that eating here brings back a lot of memories for me. I will definitely come back to try the other meals.

booking a restaurant from reading reviews can sometimes be risky & hard as everyone have different experiences! my family & I needed 2 restaurants to celebrate 2 milestone birthdays with a family of 22members. one restaurant for Friday & another for Sunday. after a bad experience at a restaurant on Friday night we were abit reluctant to eat at another restaurant on Sunday in Taupo! However COBB & CO's service was so fast, so efficient , we even had TWO waiters to cater to our big numbers, both so thoughtful & understanding while my family were doing formalities. food was yummy! & even had no surcharge to bring in an outside cake 🙌🏽 they even set out balloons for my nanas birthday .. Thank you COBB & CO (krishna & team that worked on 20th June) for ending our last night in Taupo on a high! My family were full & happy.

Came in for dinner tonight while holidaying from Palmerston North. The staff were engaging and friendly, even indulging our request for extra Cobb crunchies with no qualms. The meals came promptly and were simply delicious, and filling!!! Great value for money as well! Absolutely recommend this place as a great family dining location and we will be back!

If done well, this place would be great... simple and fast comfort food. Unfortunately, the menu tries to do too many things and the basics are not done well. Fries are the best example. From a place like this, they should be perfect but as is so often the case they are dry and taste like they came from the freezer. My schnitzel actually tasted really good but it didn't look good... it was rolled up and of a very dark colour rather than the typical golden brown. These aren't major issues but it could be so much better if done well. The place is also a bit tired and just not very clean, the bathrooms included. Its a shame because the brand works.

Love cobbnco I have been going to these restaurants for 45 years I have the same meal every time Stuffed cob schnitzel. Can't beat it especially when they sometimes let me have 2 pieces. But it could do without the salad just the schnitzel and chips is all it needs

My wife and I came for dinner on Saturday night and had a very pleasant evening. The roast pork meal was cooked beautifully, the service was friendly and efficient with only a short wait time. I think our waitress was named Lizaine. She was very delightful and looked after us very well. The Duty Manager, Harman, was very welcoming and even came to see how we were enjoying our meal. All in all a great experience, warmly recommended.

We waited at least 40 mins for our mains to come out, and then my husband and daughter were served their meal, and mine was mistakingly given to another table. It wasn't busy so not really any excuses for mistakes like that happening. We were comped our wines, and 50% of my meal price which was appreciated given the circumstances. Unfortunately we won't be rushing back there again.

Was a bit of a mix experience. We were seated very quickly and were served quickly which was excellent. However the Cheesy Garlic bread for $9 was basically the Cheesy Garlic toastie from Subway you could get for $2.50. The Buffalo wings were delicious with the sauce however were small for the price charged. Similarly, the ribs were delicious but not worth the price they are charged also. I was very excited for the Cobb and Co round crisps that you would always get before your meals and was let down immensely when I discovered they do not serve them anymore :( was served by a young gentleman with glasses who was an absolute superstar though and he had made the experience easier and was a joy to speak to.

It is what it is, set your expectations accordingly I.e. its not 5star dining and this is not what it is trying to be or it its target market. It is great for kids, the best restaurant in Taupo for kids as it has a games area, corn loops are on table and colouring in sheets. Food is of generous proportions and Angus Pure Steak really good. Prompt meal delivery once ordered. Best place to take your under 10's!!!

Harman-Kaur was our server and she was wonderful dealing with 11 people on an hour timetable. She was extremely friendly and while some of the people were demanding she had a great smile on her face. I enjoyed the seafood chowder and the hog. It was brought out fast and tasted wonderful.

Just saw an ad on Facebook for Cobb and Co and remembered I wanted to place feedback from when we went in January. The food was great, and the nostalgia was 10/10! But the real hero was the great waiter! I think his name was Jaden? Long curly hair. He was an absolute trip! Only less one star as we were placed in the kids area with a baby who couldn’t crawl and a big kid way too old for the area. Apart from that, top notch! That waiter is an asset. Keep him on or someone will snap him up!!

Fantastic meal and food was as top notch as expected. It was very busy and yet without a booking we were seated very quickly. Our son was a little disappointed as in between eating and drinking he was back and forth to a play area with PlayStation/Xbox type machines that did not work. He a long with other young children did their best to get them going to no avail. Although this kind of entertainment is not necessary to a meal out if it's offered it should be working.

This place is a great spot in Taupo. It is amazing for families with a fish tank, some toys and a couple of computers for kids to play on. They have custom meals for kids of different ages and we spent 3 nights there!

My wife and I went to Cobb & Co Taupo on Saturday 25th November. The food and staff were great. As it was a busy weekend in Taupo you can guess right that things could take a little longer. BUT the steaks the wife and I had were cooked perfectly. The starters (shrimp cocktail and wedges) also great. As for the desserts (ice cream Sunday and pavlova) top notch. The only down side was the wife's Bloody Mary. It was to watery. Otherwise a good night. AND FOR THE PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE TIME IT TAKES TO GET SEATED BOOK A TABLE.

My husband & I always have dinner at Cobb & Co whenever we are in Taupo (2 or 3 times each year). Their Seniors Menu is excellent at $22.50 pp for 2 courses. The food is always consistent and so is the service. On Monday 9th April, our waiter Jayden was friendly, efficient and his attentiveness made it a memorable occasion. We'll be back !!

Toilet facilities needed attention and there seemed to be a shortage of staff.
