Cobb & Co is a chain that has been around for donkey's years - they were big in the 80s. The food isn't what you'd call high-end cuisine but it is decent-sized/generous helpings of solid food: meat & fish with vegetables on the side. Some of the menu options are even labelled 'Big Feed'. A great selling point for them is the kids menu - there are, in fact, three kids menus. One for kids 1-3, another for those 4-10 and a third for kids 11-14 and they're all set menus with cobb crunchies, a main and some sort of dessert. Hard to go wrong.

One of the most beautiful bar restaurant in Tauranga. A jug of beer only $28 for 5 glasses. It’s a good deal with such a amazing sea view. The service also very good plus staff are friendly. I would like to recommend this restaurant to everyone. VH

Great ambiance, surprisingly huge venue. The toilet is tucked at the very end, Took quite a while if you seat at the front part of the pub, or at the outside. Parking is a big pain, they said that they have parking space nearby, but when I got there, there's no parking space apart the public road-side spaces which already taken - only 3 spaces for tens of eateries on the strand. The food is quite good for pub grub, and portion is big. The ribs is yummy. Have a good selection of drinks, cocktails, as well as virgin and children's drinks. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Loved the atmosphere and friendly service. They even have a cocktail called the "traffic light" for the kids! Will DEFINITELY be returning to visit yet again!

Large pub on the waterfront. Friendly staff. Nice patio opening to the street - leisurely enjoy your drink and watch the world go by.

We went as a large group on Saturday 6 April for a friends birthday, was very disappointed in the service, we paid for all our drinks at the bar, even though they didn't want us to but being a big group it was easier and I wrote down what we eat for my family. The place for a Saturday night was so under staffed and a lot of the tables weren't being cleared and the bar area was shocking as the glasses were just piled up . Our food came quickly and was nice, but Cobb and co need to be more aware of making sure you have enough staff on especially on busy nights.

Great service, very kid friendly, but below average food at good food prices.
The staff were very nice and helpful. There are toys and video games (free). They gave the kids each a balloon and party hat as it was our son's birthday, and he would have eaten for free if we'd remembered to tell them that when we went to pay (we'd brought the necessary proof of his birthday but then totally forgot about their deal when it came time to pay).
It was really just the food/price that let it down. If it was cheaper like Breakers (who have gone now), or better quality, then it would have been a four or five star review.
