C.Outstanding dining experience. The staff, the ambience, the style and oh my goodness the food. Outstanding. The first time we had the chef’s steak platter - brilliant. And do be tempted by the dessert cocktails. It’s a must. Can’t wait to go back. Book way in advance if you want a weekend evening.
M.Good food and friendly staff with a good atmosphere. Pricey though, expect to pay a bit more for your meal. Definitely recommend if you like your steak meduim rare. We found that most of ours was more on the rare side though. 3 x vegetarian options available. Various drinks on offer.
T.I took my mum to Fife Lane for dinner as a birthday treat and was absolutely blown away. The service was impeccable, staff knowledgable and friendly, both food and drinks menus had extensive options and the food was tino reka – very delicious! Choosing our own steak knives also added a fun touch to the night. This was our first time dining here and I highly recommend for a thoughtful, all-round dining experience.

N.We had a brilliant dinner at Fife Lane, both the meal and the cocktails were first class, but what blew us away was the professionalism of the staff. From start to finish we felt well taken care of - greeting us warmly when we first walked in, being attentive but not hovering over us during our meal, having great knowledge and recommendations on both the food and drinks menus. Seriously one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've ever had!
R.It goes without saying the food is incredible, but equally important, the staff is excellent! They are well informed about their menu and drinks list alike. They are very friendly and make you feel welcome. This is the whole package.
J.We celebrated a 60th birthday at Fife Lane on 12/02/22 and it was a truly wonderful evening. Everything was perfect and the staff went out of their way to make the evening special for all of us.
We were a large group of 12 adults and 4 children and they allowed us to order from the A la Carte menu even though the total group size was over 12. They managed the table so well. There were no extended wait times for drinks and food and that isn't easy. We also had room at the table - some restaurants will compact the seating for a large group so you end up sitting shoulder to shoulder but we had the same amount of table space as we would have if it had been just 2-people dining.
They provided two children menu options but also allowed us to order from the full menu for the kids. One steak meal was ordered for two of the children to share (6 & 3 years old). They gave them the full dining experience too - cutting their steak to serve on separate plates and providing them with their own individual sauces. All our meals were amazing. Steaks cooked to perfection, beautiful sides that complimented the mains.
They have an extensive wine list and a wonderful cocktail list. We had a lot of fun with that cocktail list including the desert cocktails.
So to Suzelle who wait-listed my booking and made it happen and to all the talented and wonderful team - thank you for a fantastic evening and an amazing dining experience.
P.We decided to try this restaurant after watching it being built before Christmas last year. Never got around due to moving house and covid hitting. But wow did we realise that we should have gone sooner! Amazing team and super friendly staff as soon as we walked in. The food was delicious all night. Our large group tried quite a range of their nicely graphically designed menu. No one member of our party were disappointed at all.
If you want a lovely evening out I'd highly recommend getting a booking, indulging in some food and trying their excellent cocktail menu 😋

I ordered grilled octopus for entrée, and enjoyed it so much its now one of my favorite dishes, I still think about how good the dish is,
My fiance ordered the mussels, the mussels were cooked to perfection.
For mains we ordered the Wagu Scotch fillet steak and a T-bone steak , when we are waiting for the steaks the waiter comes over with a knife box and you get to choose your own steak knife 🔪,
The stakes came out and we tried the wagu , it was so flavorful it was the best steak I've ever eaten, you could tell it was cooked to perfect medium rare and can taste the flame grilled flavor as well .
We ordered bread and butter pudding to share for dessert and was a great way to finish the meal, the bathrooms were grand like a 5 star hotel bathroom with your own hand towels a big cubicle for comfort, I highly recommend eating here .
P.From all the staff, the ambience of the restaurant, selection of wines and the food-AMAZING!!!! The best steak ever! Thanks guys for making our wedding anniversary extra special💕

T.We loved our first experience at Fife Lane and both times we've loved the menu, decor and atmosphere, stunning! My advise is for the the wait staff to listen to a customer if they say their $75 Wagu steak was cooked more medium than medium rare and refrain from 'upsizing' when the portions are more than generous. Even though you leave with a doggy bag, this just adds to the expense. Having said all that, looking forward to go back and ordering a rare, smaller steak next time :-)

H.Driving towards the Mount and we spotted what looked like a ultra hip little bar! On the way back we stopped to check it out and were absolutely mind blown with what was behind that gorgeous facade.
The wine/beverage menu is filled with all the dreamy drinks you could desire, then the menu WOW! Would definitely recommend Fife Lane to anyone in the area. We will be back, a few more times! (We are from out of town, but this place is a must go)

The menu was to die for. I could eat there every day for a couple of weeks to simply try new dishes.
Fantastic, comprehensive wine list with some gems. Extensive meat locker with a great balance of vegetarian sides. Very smart choices of sauces and ingredients.
This team has the right formula and will only get better with time.
Highly recommend making a reservation as they book out fast for good reason.
Highly recommended as a top choice for medium fine dining.

M.Just got home from having dinner there ,very nice food. Champaign $20 a glass of mums, when it turned up. I was looking for the other half of the flass as it was the size of half a flute. I found this insulting and offensive.

A.Absolutely the best restaurant we have eaten at in New Zealand in a long time, and we eat out a lot as u know. Cant rave enough about the fit out, the service and the menu . Its prices are high but worth every cent. If you are into steak seriously add to the wish list of places to be. I actually had th snapper and oysters they were incredible. Well done .long overdue in the Bay of Plenty . Will be back

A.Beautiful, interesting food and wine. Ambience and setting is very stylish. With popularity comes a lot of customers which made it somewhat noisy, meaning hearing conversations was a little difficult. But hey... that's what you get anywhere it is busy. Will go back for sure.

P.Not as good as last time... we chose Waggu meatballs which were nice but sauce was too salty, so was the bacon(homemade) in the Brussel sprouts. Kokoda was nice but no special flavors. The riccotta gnocchi was disappointing too, the texture of soggy bread, flavor was ok but needed less mushroom juice and could have done with a bigger range of mushroom species. The surprise was the beef Tartare which I've never been a fan of and it was a little like Ceviche with out the coconut. We're back on Wednesday in 2 weeks so will try something new then.

M.My husband and I dined here for our 20th wedding anniversary and OMG the food is soooo delicious, it’s got to be the best food in Tauranga! Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, we couldn’t fault it. The cocktails were so good too and to top it off, the service was awesome. Highly recommend for a special occasion, but leave the kids at home 😁
