Went with my husband. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staffs. Very Delicious Food!! But yes, the price is .... a bit wallet-heart-breaking comparing to the portion (Tauranga price maybe) We ordered: - Mixed entree platter: you get 1 piece of each entree option. Spring roll is nice! - Sweet and sour fish: yummy but ... where is my fish 🥲 I think we got 2-3 small pieces for an already-small dish. - Panaeng lamb curry: highly recommended - Pad see eiw: perfect noodle (a bit thick and chewy, not too soft like other places) - Honey duck: I think this is 1 duck breast. yummy, but I think a bit too much sauce. Each dish come with a small portion of rice (except entree and noodle). Total $128 for 2 people (+ 2 coke zero).

Amazing food. We ordered curry puffs, spicy fried Rice and tofu green curry. Food was amazing. We forgot our purse there in the restaurant. Thanks to the lady who came running behind us in the car park and gave the purse to us. Appreciate it. Thank you 😊

Loved the chicken cashew. Probably the best I've tried. Partner whose vegetarian enjoyed her tofu peanut sauce too. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Been here twice now, so good! Right in central Tauranga, but lots of nearby parking

Absolutely best Thai restaurant in New Zealand. The environment is comfortable and welcoming, and the decoration of the restaurant deserves a comprehensive appreciation. We've been there so many times, and it surprised us every single time we went, even just order food randomly could still get amazing experience. The quality of their takeaway is amazing as well, and the host and hostess are super friendly and easygoing. This restaurant is a MUST TRY in Tauranga, highly recommend!

I was extremely impressed with this restaurant. For starters the atmosphere and ambience is very calm, relaxing and cosy. The staff were very friendly and extremely accomodating. The food was excellent and among the tastiest Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. Definitely recommended.

Walked in to order takeaway on a Sunday night - very quiet and can see location means they may get overlooked, as just down the street near the water other bars and restaurants were pumping. It's a shame because the restaurant looks very nice inside, classic Thai restaurant decor, probably a nice ambience when dining in! We ordered a chicken pad thai and some sides such as spring rolls and curry puffs. They were ready very quickly and were still hot 20 minutes later when we began eating. The pad thai was generous, exactly what I needed, lots of chicken and heavy noodles, but I thought there was a slight lack of flavour. Just a bit more flavour and it would have been perfect. The curry puffs and spring rolls were themselves perfect, and the service from the team was genuine and friendly, as well as quick, so I still give 5 stars and assume the slight lack of flavour to be a one-off :) will definitely try them again next time I'm in town

It was over the top delicious and I am very happy to have now experienced Golden Rise Menu, our favorite shop was burned done, however this Thai restaurant is equal if not better than the one we used to go. The vermicelli seafood and beef salad are awesome!!!! The traditional handmade Thai sauce is one of the best sauces I hav ever tsasted. The fried rice and noodles with prawns and chicken are the best. They also offer takeaway, which is sooo convenient. The boss and waitresses are all so nice and kind, great service!
