Visited for mother's day this morning. Service was excellent , despite the fact they were very busy. Polite staff, prompt orders and delivery of coffee to the table. I ordered the eggs benedict and I am being 100% truthful when I say they were the best I've ever had. The poached eggs were served on sourdough with a homemade sauce which was absolutely delicious. They also added a charred broccolini which added further layers of beautiful flavour. Top notch. My son loved his pancakes, husbands meal was great and the coffee was excellent. Top marks! Thank you Maude!

Lamb Shank was delicious and fell of the bone. The meal was gorgeous and the staff lovely and friendly. Meal was served quickly. No complaints

If you're an early bird of a Sunday morning, and you like not only lovely and refined surroundings, but a refined menu and great coffee then Maude's is definately a spot you'll want to be. Well worth putting on your top Cafe's list to frequent. The staff are warm and friendly. To get the best from Maudes, you'll want to pick your times...it can get very busy.

Went several times for lunch. One of the best chicken Caesar salad I ever ate. Service frienfly and fast. Beautiful decoration on the plates. Homemade tempura prawns, very fresh and crispy. Very happy with the fish and chips, big portion and nice batter. Perfect halloumi salad. Will go back definitively.

Great service . I needed gluten free food and needed to educate the waitress that the fries were not gluten free if they were cooked in a fryer with gluten. So.if you are gluten free/coeliacs don't get their frys. But the rest of the meal was tasty and brilliant

The atmosphere here is wonderful. The interiors were designed beautifully. The staff were very kind and the seating comfortable, however, the breakfast food was very average. We ordered the pancakes and unfortunately they tasted like I imagine car tyres would. They looked like crepes but thicker, so I expected a taste between crepes and pancakes but they had a strong plasticky eggy taste, couldn’t have more than two bites. Gorgeous place though and right next to a great playground and lakes views.

Love the vibe of this restaurant and would definitely go back. Great service. Great food. And a great selection of drinks. The night we visited there was live music and good energy with a decent amount of people coming and going. The portions are just as big as the flavour. Would highly recommend the cauliflower dish.

A fabulous experience. It was a busy evening, but we were seated quickly and on time with our booking. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food came quickly and was truly delicious. The wooden slatted seats were however, terribly uncomfortable and the supplied cushion was a cheap, but unsuccessful solution. They really could do with some squabs, but as the overall experience was great, I would happily visit here again and recommend this place to anyone.

Staff very pleasant. Venue great. Booked brunch for 12.30 on a Sunday. Didn’t receive our food until 1.30. Eggs cooked really well, bacon over cooked and burnt, broccoli overcooked and dried out. Overall food and presentation very average unfortunately. Not the first time. Disappointed

Friendly waitressed informed us of a half hour wait for our meals so we knew what we where in for so no complaints there. The pizza was decent with a well made flavoursome base. The lamb was very disappointing unfortunately it had been way over cooked and rack of lamb means more than 3 cutlets. The accompanying potato salad was unfortunately undercooked. Left hungry.

Friendly staff, very clean place with a nice atmosphere. We were recommend this place by a few people however I think a couple of items on their menu were not quite up to par (came out cold and few items were undercooked). Over all though the flavors were fantastic and the lamb jus was exquisite. I realise the place was busy and appreciate the fact they accommodated us even though we didnt have a booking. Look forward to going back, trying something new and hopefully changing this review to a 5 star one.

Ordered a sharing platter, and asked for some (but not all) of the bread to be gluten free. They thoughtfully brought out two platters, one with the gluten free items and the other with the few items that had gluten in them, so that the gluten-free person could happily pick and choose. Lovely touch.

Our family loves Maude, especially the Kids Eat Free deal on Wednesdays. Staff are amazing (and stay long term) and the restaurant is nice and chilled to hang out in. Food and drinks are great too. Highly recommend!

Wish this place was in our backyard! Great service. The waitress mentioned that the almond croissant I ordered with coffee (after ordering a gluten free meal) that it wasn't gluten free. It was actually for my husband but the thought was there. It's not often I find staff that actually take that seriously. Both our lunches were cooked to perfection and seriously tasty. We ordered from the breakfast menu, maudes veg with halloumi and the vege smash. We will be back.

A frequent coffee stop. Best Jalapeño scones. Would have had 5 stars if the service was better. Consistently long waits for coffee. Today was the longest. Told 10mins but was 25mins today and still no scone - that was another 5mins. Cafe was not overly busy. Maybe get a new and faster coffee machine 🤔. A lovely place if you have all day.

Nice place with good staff and service although 30 minutes wait for 4 simple mains was getting one of our group titchy. I should mention the restaurant was as expected, pretty quiet being a Wednesday night. The presentation of dishes was nice but no steak knives was surprising and the plates were cold so the two steak meals were luke warm at best. We will definitely be going back but will ask for my gripes to be noted next time around. The food was all yum!

Went for breakfast this weekend with the family, the food took a little longer than I was expecting but it was busy so I can understand the wait. The bacon was nice and crispy and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The restaurant is located close to the childrens playground so there's loads of entertainment for the little ones.

I have only been here a few times but in my experience Maude has been consistent and impressive. Good menu selection including plenty of veg and gf options. Drinks are good with plenty to choose from including alcohol. Breakfasts are great as is the rest of the menu, both dinner and lunch. Reasonable prices for the quality and quantity, service is efficient. Plenty of seating options, clean dining area and restrooms.

Loved it, they squeezed us in on a busy Friday night. Really nice food, great menu. Staff really helpful. The decor is nice and also has a big projector with sky, so sports looks like they are covered. Bar is well stocked. 10/10 will come here again.

We had lunch and were very impressed with the menu. I loved the baked whole colliflower on a base of quinoa, almonds, cranberries and smoked coconut yogurt. Friendly and efficient service. My only negative would be that the hard surfaces didn't help to dampen the noise. I will certainly return though

Seriously Great food! The menu catered to each of our eclectic tastes and was beautifully presented with care. The service was excellent and the waiters cheerful and friendly. Nice views of the fields and the playground (great for the discerning parent). I can't really fault it.. Perhaps the only suggestion would be to provide filtered water rather than straight tap water... We'll done Maude!

Great modern decor, plenty of natural light, lots of spacious & easy access seating arrangements. Right across the rd from a cool park so great for Mum's & bubs. Have been a number of times & customer service isn't always consistent. Sometimes it's been great other times not good at all. The food though nice, is overpriced for what you get. The menu is also very limited & there aren't many cakes, muffins etc avail to have with yr coffee. If they run out you have to order a dessert from the main menu which is also limited in choices. I would still go back to have just coffee & maybe the seafood pizza which I really enjoyed.

The layout and atmosphere of this bar/restaurant is awesome, staff were very friendly, and the lamb and halloumi soft bun was on point. Don't get the cheeseburger though, there is far better food on the menu.

This is my local cafe so I have visited a few times. Generally pleasant staff with reasonable service, good food and nice ambience. However my experience there yesterday at noon was not great. Ordered mushroom breakfast dish. Well cooked but cold, not even warm. My fellow diner ordered the complete breakfast which includes mostly fried food. It too was stone cold, delivered with the wrong bread, and eggs not cooked as clearly requested, and yes, the waitress did write down the order. The waitress said they had delivered the wrong meal. No actual apology, no discount, no offer of a free drink. I had almost finished my meal when her new and hot meal arrived, with the eggs still not cooked correctly. Still no apology but the waitress did say 'oh, I can remember you saying that.' Hopeless!! When we paid the young man on the till couldn't manage the eftpos transaction so more waiting while another staff member came to assist him. Still no apology either for the meal or the service. This was my favourite local cafe restaurant but now I will be checking out new ones at Tauranga Crossing. Sad service 😡

Was meeting an old school friend, i hadn't seen for about 40yrs! For a coffee.. The place is confusing and the staff are all running round a bit confused too... lol... The guy on the cash register was new and doing on the job training.. but he was trying to be sweet... The wait staff seemed disorganised and my guess probably over run.. I guess it's a sign of the times, but I have not enjoyed the atmosphere in this place, previously so because my friend chose the place went along willingly... We got our coffes and were left alone to chat... there was no pressure on us to move and so we ordered a bite to eat.. which was really yummy... All food I have eaten here, previously has been of Masterchef standard... absolutely no probs there... It's just the place is jangly and the furniture is hard and it's just a bit disorganised.. So I don't seek the place out regularly... But I must reiterate the food is Great! It was really awesome to be able to sit and catch up 40yrs and not feel like we should be moving on!
