30 residents and friends had a great meal and social time before hitting the shops. We all decided on what to have and pre-ordered. Food was out within 15 mins of arriving. Fantastic service, friendly staff and some great shops nearby to wander through. We will definitely be back.

Very nice food and nice they could have all 24 of us at short notice thank you and bringing all food out pretty much one after another, the only thing was the meat patty was a bit dry but other than that beautiful burger and chips.

I gave this place a higher rating after an earlier visit but yesterday was disappointing. Slow service, food only warm when finally delivered and one of the meals had to be re done due to undercooked chicken. So I guess there's valid reasons for things not being up to par but this time the experience was average at best.

Second time I've been to this restaurant..first time the meals were great, this visit we were shown our seats, drinks ordered with a few minutes.. ordered mains...my steak was delicious and very generous.. then the heavens opened up and we witness a spectacular show.. mind you a few diners had to be reseated inside..the sound of the heavy rain was quite magic..I'll be back...

The Orchard has been our "go to " restaurant for a long time now. Food is always excellent and you would have to look long and hard to find a better staff. Great dessert selection as well. There's only 5 stars available. If I could I would give them a few more.

My local and I love it. Good atmosphere and you can tell it is owner operated. Honest meals that are a cut above pub grub without being too fancy, everyone can find something on the menu. Lagunitas on tap too, so that's a bonus!

Very few vegetarian options. Nothing for vegans. But the pizzas are good (GF available). Good selection of drinks. Nice outdoor eating place, big screen TV with sport. Quite pricey for what you get.

Generally a great place. This time though lunch took 30 minutes to be served. The table next to us was served before us even though they arrived after us. Although delicious, the menu was pepper steak with double cheese hot pot. No cheese!!

I'm a frequent visitor to this restaurant. Last night we had a new staff member service our table and she was wonderful. She was helpful without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. Obviously the owners train their staff really well. Cant wait to go back next week.

Stopped at The Orchard Bar and had a great value platter and a ice cold beer outside in the breeze. Perfect venue with indoor outdoor seating, parking at doorstep and mobility access for both parking and toilets. There was a wide range of ages young and old all happily enjoying the venue together.

The food was tasty but the portions were miserable. I told the waitress who said she would tell the chef but as I heard nothing more I expect he or she couldn’t care. I mean to say, how much more does it cost a restaurant to give a decent serving spoon of mashed potato. The lamb shank was the size of a chicken drum stick so perhaps give two. But if that’s still beyond what they want to provide why not change five bucks more. I would have been happy to pay.

We had the fish burger that comes with fries and garlic aioli which has a strong garlic taste, I personally liked it. The burger itself is great the fish is nicely battered. Hubby & I are regulars here. It’s a great place for a late lunch & the food is well cooked hearty pub grub. The staff are pleasant & efficient. Outside area is lovely on a summers day. It most certainly isn’t fine dining but it doesn’t pretend to be.

Well I have to say this used to be my local which i have eaten here many times, always finding my meal very nice in fact a little large for me. It's been a while since I have visited so tonight my husband and I thought we would return for our usual wild chicken meal and fish & chips plus a drink or two. A little disappointed tonight chicken very dry just a couple of carrots and a bit of cauliflower were the veg. Usually you get roast veg with greens & mashed spud. Fish ok but not its usual standard. Not sure if I'll eat there again now. Apart from that a nice pub with a nice atmosphere.

We continue to return to what we refer to as "our local". Over the past months we have enjoyed lunches and dinners. The service is always friendly, helpful and the drinks are always delivered quickly. The food is well presented, tasty and don't think we have ever had a bad dish. We will continue to return and appreciate the fact that specials are added to the normal menu, leading to variety. The meals are also well priced and plenty of options on the menu.

A cold winter's day but the place was roasting near the clear plastic curtains. Suggest sitting away from the windows. Other than this we enjoyed the attention of the staff making an effort to keep us aerated. Lovely pork piece entrée and real pineapple juice. Burger meals were quite oversized for my fellow diners but teenagers would disagree!

Had a lovely lunch here on a Sunday with family, the have a $10 kids menu with about six different choices, a brunch and pizza/burger menu and then plenty of blackboard specials for mains and "of the day" type dishes. Food was good, good reception from the kids, beef burger was OK though the beef tasted not quite fresh but nothing to complain about. Good drinks selection, well definitely be back!

This place is a fantastic place to have a couple of beers and some food. Came here before the Christmas work do, and had a couple of beers and some cheese platters. The platters were awesome, and seemed quite high quality for what you pay for. The drinks were brought to the table very quickly and the drinks following came pretty quick too. This place is usually pretty busy, however, despite that the service was great. Overall a great atmosphere and awesome staff. Would recommend this place 100%.

Walking in with no booking on a Saturday night we were greeted by the owner, no problem, come and I will find you a spot. Still waiting nearly an hour after ordering. The place is almost full. No notice is being taken of the state of our drinks. The wait staff have just delivered the first course, barking out the dish’s name - “chowder” which was separating. My filet Mignon was beautifully cooked, I did not need my steak knife. A mixed experience.

Very busy and loud I realise it was fathers day but had a really close together feeling... the girl serving was nice I do feel bad for the workers here looks really hectic and busy.... they forgot to bring us water and the food took a very long time the chips were the worst chips I've ever eaten.. you need to give the option to have them fried normally and not air fried as they tasted like plastic and had no flavour what so ever the highlight was the manager working wearing his Marilyn Monroe t-shirt (nice shirt by the way)

Now under new management, welcoming pleasant and helpful staff, cosy comfortable establishment has a restaurant and bar area. Lovely food makes for a special relaxing night out. The one place I can have food prepared without garlic as I have an allergy, no trouble the cook does this gladly, very few places do this. Comfortable relaxing seating, lighting with a lovely well stocked bar. I recommend you try this establishment. Your local google guide.

Our company's overseas boss was visiting the Tauranga office and treated all staff + their partners to dinner. What excellent service we enjoyed. The restaurant suggested we pre-order everyone's starters, mains and dessert choices the day before, and on the evening they promptly served entree's at 6.30pm. And mains at about 7.15pm. And so on. This worked a treat and what a great night it was. Impeccable service, and everyone commented about the generous servings. Well done team Orchard Bethlehem!

Went with voucher from Treat Me Tauranga. Staff didn't seem keen to give us a table and tried to squash us in close to another group. Eventually managed to get a table apart for just my wife and myself. Took a long time to take the order. Garlic bread did not taste of garlic - looked like pre-bought from supermarket. After long wait for mains they brought my wife snapper rather than the advertised tuna. Waitress tried to convince us it was tuna! Decided to keep it rather than wait another 40 mins. My belly pork was tasty enough but nothing special and both meals were luke warm. Only one staff member seemed even remotely concerned when we complained. If I had paid full price I would have refused to pay the bill. Not a place we will be going again. Being kind when awarding 1/3, more like 2/10 really
