Great spot, atmosphere is epic, dark and cozy stable with huge fireplace (but I won’t expect fire on during the summer lol) Great quality carb load place (Runners, riders, hikers take a note) Good balanced food, had to taste few different pastas (liver, seafood and mushroom) and enjoyed pepperoni pizza. Pizza was great but just add few drops of Kaitaia and get a glass of Pinot Noir to turn that to banquet! Really liked the use of liver in pasta, I would just add a splash of brandy to sauce but that’s just my palette.

The Cow Pizza & Spaghetts is great at doing pizza's and, well, spaghetti. Everything on the menu is pretty good. Some dishes are very unique though. One time the had a specialty soup(zuppa) that was blue cheese blended with cauliflower. I bet you they saved money on using blue cheese, small amount, strong flavor. A little too strong. I won't be having cheese anytime soon. But really, other than that they are fantastic. Their restaurant set up and atmosphere is well put together and have the best staff.

Do not even hesitate. This is the absolute best, incredible, atmospheric, gorgeous place in the entire south island.... I kid you not. Thomas recommended the famous garlic bread. Was he right? Yes. Yes he was right!!!! Everything about this awesome place is fantastic. I know. I rave... but seriously people, this is extremely great. Delicious. Great pizza. Great atmosphere ..... and did I mention that garlic bread. Do not hesitate. Do not pass go. Go directly to The Cow.... don't let the substandard name fool you... this is an awesome place 😁 ps... the hottie in the photo is single 😁❤

We ordered two large pizzas and while unimpressed with variety in the menu, was very impressed with the taste. They were pretty big yet I ended up eating several slices when I would usually only eat two- three (wasn't extremely hungry either).

This was a great find and worth seeking out. They do a limited number of things well. The gluten free pizza base was excellent and both pizzas were generously topped. The staff were really friendly and engaging and the whole place had a lovely vibe even for an early dinner at 5pm. I would definitely go back.

Great semi-hidden place! Food was great and delicious! We had the Venison Pepperoni pizza and spaghetti bolognese with garlic bread. They were amazing! Only thing is that I felt a bit rushed, the place is small so they do make the most of the sitting and it does get busy. However the food was amazing so I highly recommend it!

We stumbled upon this place during dinner time and the pizza was delicious. You can order two different toppings if you opt for the large pizza. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also amazing! Their garlic bread is also a special item on the menu.
