X.We had a birthday dinner there and the flavor of the food is so outstanding. We had soft shell crab, duck curry and braise beef, all are very yummy. The portion of the dishes are generous too. Service is great. I highly recommended pomelo if you want to give Asian fusion food a try! 😊
Y.First time here, enjoyed my time. Lovely place and friendly staff. We got the table by the window overlooking Oriental Bay.
As appetiser, we had the deep fried mushrooms which is not on the menu. It was very good! Crisp outer and juicy mushrooms. Yum!
I had the duck curry with roti - mildly spicy with lovely roasted duck and juicy cherry tomatoes and lychees. Oh soo good!
And had the beautifully presented coconut panna cotta as dessert. Wow!
Would I recommend? Yes! Thanks for the lovely experience.
D.This restaurant ticks all the boxes. Lovely ambiance with all tables having stunning views out to the bay. We had a wonderful waiter who was attentive but not intrusive. The menu offers a variety to suit most dietary needs with the focus on offering quality dishes vs quantity. The food was visually appealing and delicious and made with love. Very well priced and a great selection of wines. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

G.Great little restaurant, with a perfect location in Orential Parade. The food was really spectacular, all the plates we had were spot on, really great fresh flavours, the yellow curry (with chicken added) was really good, in fact we couldn't fault any of the food served. Customer service was great, the staff were very friendly and attentive.

C.A good location to have a nice dinner. I liked raw fish dish with secret sauce and deep fried egg plant (sweet taste) was good too. Duck was too spicy for me. I couldn’t take a picture but tiger prawn salad was also recommended. Finish with ice cream trio was good way to conclude your meal. I deducted one star as the taste was bit strong but it is my own preference.

B.Saw the rating and decided to give it a try. I can confidently say this is the best fusion restraunt i have ever eaten at. And believe me, i live in singapore, which has tons of fusion food. Love this place. Although pricey, it is well worth it. tried the spring rolls, teriyaki fried chicken, duck curry, grilled salmon, lamb chops. Deserts, we tried all except the ice cream trio.

R.Very flavorful and well prepared asian fusion dishes. A bit on the pricey side but I guess it has to pay the rent on Oriental parade. The service was good and I was pleasantly surprised by the desert we got. In my experience Asian places don't always impress with deserts but there's someone in that kitchen who knows their stuff. I can only hope their pastry chef expands that desert menu. Recommended.
J.Great food and very friendly service. The view over Wellington Harbour makes it worth going in the day light. We had a fun birthday celebration and the restaurant was full and buzzing. It is quite noisy when full. One of our dishes got mixed up and they sensibly did not charge us for it. Highly recommended.
H.The old White House on Oriental Parade. Great views of the water but pretty noisy inside. Spring rolls were so amazing along with the curry and teriyaki steak.

I have dined here again a month ago and regrettably l find their overall food and service standards has both dropped.
For example, the coleslaw on their crispy chicken mains wasn't as nice as before (missing the walnut pieces) and their table napkins seems to have been replaced by small cheap paper tissues (hence giving the appearance of a budget family type cafe).
Hopefully their food and service standards will be restored soon.
N.10/10. Food was perfect, service was excellent, view was 👌. Really appreciated the waiter and his attention to detail. After advising of my pregnancy he would offer substitutes in meals for food that was safe for me to eat. Very special ❤

S.Gorgeous space for dinner, beautiful view & cute decor. But it was the service for me! I asked for the salmon dish but without the noodles, and they gave me a gorgeous salmon salad instead. Definitely recommend.

S.Love this place. For entrees we had pork dumplings, seafood cakes and spring rolls. For mains my friends had the Duck curry and I had the special of the evening which was a noodle soup with pork belly, chicken and seafood. Absolutely Devine. Staff are attentive and friendly. Lovely setting with a view overlooking Oriental Bay.

If you want a fantastic view of night lights of Wellington city and harbour this is the place. Good choices on the Asian inspired menu and we all enjoyed the food. The coffee drinkers.. not me.. said the coffee was great.

A.I'd not been to Pomelo but had heard great reviews so had to go and try it out. I was not disappointed. The staff were attentive and easy to deal with. The food was absolutely delicious! I went with a group who all ordered different mains and I was enviously looking around the table as the plates were delivered. I will definitely go again.
R.A quick meal before the Saturday night bookings arrived allowed to sit with a perfect view of Oriental Bay, and to enjoy a lovely Sav Blanc while we awaited our food. The Crispy Spring Rolls where great, but the Duck Curry was outstanding - simply faultless. It was a large meal though & so it pays to be very hungry - you will not be disappointed !!
M.We went to Pomelo with a group of 8. We ordered quite many dishes and we all enjoyed every single dish so much!! They are experts of cooking meat and seafood!! And their dessert are fabulous! The stuff members are so friendly and attentive. I also have to mention about the gorgeous view! You will see the best view of Oriental Bay in whole windows!! I strongly recommend this place for any family dinner, romantic dates, gathering with a friend or many friends and many other events.
s.This was our first visit and wont be our last the food was amazing the flavors just popped in your mouth! From the dumplings chicken satay the dish beef succulent! Tiger prawns the red duck dish to die for! Yum yum yum! Thank you for a great evening we enjoyed a birthday celebration in style.
J.I have been to Pomelo a second time around now and me and the girlfriend just cannot get enough. The restaurant is well situated within they city, with a great view of Oriental Parade! The interior and ambiance are both classy but also homely.
Staff = excellent service, being helpful and accommodating at all times.
Food = good portion, acceptable wait time and plated nicely. Definitely 10/10 for the taste as well.
Overall a great experience so will keep coming back!

T.Spending majority of my life trying out Wellington’s many restaurants, I was speechless when I left Pomelo. What a place. I sincerely have never enjoyed a restaurant environment as much as I have when I went there Sunday evening for dinner. Not only was I met with the best food I have experienced in Wellington, but also friendly funny staff and the most exquisite in restaurant environment that I have experienced. If you’re on the fence whether you’re willing to try Pomelo, I can’t stress how you should jump off it, pick up the phone and book a table immediately. I for one will definitely will be bringing the family here when they visit Wellington, as this is one of this cities treasures. A+++

E.Beautiful food and nice little eatery, but extreme wait times to receive starters, and then to receive mains. Tables that arrived after us were served very quickly and tended to frequently. We felt totally forgotten about. I can’t say I’d go back.
V.I keep going back for more and have my expectations exceeded every time. The food is exquisite the staff conduct themselves in the perfect balance.
Plan ahead of time to get a booking as they are always full or try your luck they will always go the extra mile to seat you.

G.A bit expensive and the staff are overbearing but the food really is very well prepared and delicious. We tried three small plated and liked them all... Most restaurants and cafes in Wellington make tap water easily available. Here, they quickly intervene with bottled water for $9.
