S.My son loves pizza whereas I'm meh. I work close to Sal's and walk past it all the time and was never tempted to go in. Then my son ask to try them out...we had half pepperoni and meatballs and I have to say, it was very very tasty. The pizzas are huge but it's how they roll in NY so no complaints from me.
Service was good too and they're fast. I now get why they are so popular.

My friend Charlotte and I were on our usual nightly walk around the Wellington CBD when we decided to treat ourselves to a pizza...we weighted up our options... Dominos, Pizza Hutt, maybe a boojie Pizza joint and like Moses seeing the burning bush, the holy grail of Pizza joints stood before us: Sal's Authentic NY Pizza Lambton Quay.
Upon entering the two most kawaii bois greeted us, I quote "hey girlies, you lookin' for a pizza or some peace and love" (Ben and Jerry's obvs)
We order and while waiting they bring us water in a glass and ask us how our night has been like a proper restaurant and everything! Chuffed we were! *baby yoda eyes*
After an impressively short wait, they bring us our pizza and our B and J ice cream. As he gave it to us we noticed the Kurt Cobain tattoo on one of their arms. Nirvana is Charlotte and I's fav band so we bonded with the short man over this....THEN the taller one with long hair and bad cuticle care showed us his Paul tattoo, omg who would've known??? One had a tat of our fav band and the other with a tat of our fav movie???? 🌈 🌈
While indulging in our Authentic NY style pizza both Charlotte and I agreed it was made with the best ingredient: love 💖
This is the stuff of good customer service, 5/5! Give these men a promotion or the key to the city or something because they deserve it

G.Lovely, thin crust pizza with delicious toppings. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended if you are craving for a good pizza in Wellington!

J.really cute location. not too busy, and on one of wellington’s cutest pedestrian side streets. the staff are nice and have good taste in music. nice environment minus the tacky gigantic new york photo plastered across the entire east wall, but hey, it’s sal’s. i’m sitting looking out into the street.✨four stars✨
J.I’ve been to Sal’s in Queenstown and it was great Pizza at a great prize. So this should also work for Wellington. But they did not have the half prized Pizza deal here, so ... somewhat disappointed 😞
