Reviews of The Foundry Wellington

Truly an amazing experience. The team is so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the food they service. I will 100% be back and tell everyone to come. The food is amazing, we had 6 tapas and the portions were so big and filling (not those small expensive tapas at some other places) with flavor to keep you wanting more. Unfortunately we were so full we did not get around to dessert but this is just another reason to go back 😉😎

Lovely spot with great service. The duck spring rolls were great and the Korean chicken burger was a winner - watch out for the kim chi slaw, it's nice and spicy!

Huge amount of beautiful meals (especially I love their gnocchi) and great service. Inside is nice atmosphere, you can see lovely staff. Highly recommend!

Place was amazing!
The serve was wonderful, so polite. Would recommend to anyone. The portions are good and fill you up.
If you have a night off this is the place to go too.

If you want tapas or sharing plates this place is a must (or even if you want to keep it all to yourself). The portions are very generous for tapas, the staff friendly and attentive. Especially enjoyed the duck and the mussels

New to Wellington and wanting to check out some local spots, I came across ‘The Foundry’! Such a great choice as soon as I walked in, the greeting was warm and friendly, the service was amazing and the food simply divine! I will definitely dine there again and when friends from out of town visit, this will be our first stop for a catch up meal and drinks!

Great food and service. Atmosphere not great due to level 2 but will definately be back. The steak was our favourite

Ordered 300g Scotch Fillet with mushroom sauce from the main menu a few days ago. It was mediocre.
The chips were the best thing out of that. It was not oily and the mushroom sauce was great. Steak itself was grilled to how it was ordered. But the surface of the steak was seared so much so that the bitter taste of charcoal overrode everything else including the sauce. Broccoli had ample amounts of charcoals on them as well and only a few were slightly cooked while some of it were raw. Unless the excessive amount of charcoal was intentional, the bitter taste wasn't very enjoyable.
Service was very friendly which was a plus.

The food was delicious! Such a great atmosphere and the service was brilliant. Grace and Andy did an awesome job of attending to everyone and making them feel welcome. Definitely would recommend if in Wellington!

Went here for dinner last night. The food was excellent, so tasty, beautifully presented and great value. The decor was lovely & the staff so friendly - absolutely fantastic customer service. We will back - next on the list to sample is their dessert & cocktails! Highly recommend, we have been here 3 years and this was by far one of our best meals in Wellington.

Just enjoyed a lovely meal at the Foundry. I can recommend the fish tacos - really tasty and great value. We also had the steak and burger - both excellent. Definitely make this your next dinner venue.
