I always go here for lunch when I have day off or on Thursday/ Friday evening after work for their $20 dinner + drink deal. Simply the best Japanese restaurant in Wellington.

Good quality. Amazing noodles. Good broth.
Tiny bites of pork. Not really "ramen style" egg, also overcooked.
A bit to high price for overall experience.

Great early dinner at Yoshi @ Press Hall before the Orchestra. 5:30 Friday an ideal time to get in tasty high quality food. We had the poke bowls special, the teriyaki salmon and the tofu, both on a bed of rice, with edamame and salad. Shared the karate chicken. Everything fresh, delicious that leave you with no regrets. Thank you Yoshi, well be back!

It's so hard to get simple and elegant right but Yoshi Press Hall has excelled on all levels. I had my first visit to their new Press Hall premises today and was instantly wowed by the beautiful fit out (such a blessed contrast to anything else in Wellington), stunning service from the owners, and impeccable food. We were delighted to discover that in addition to their super high quality sushi, they also make a range of food to order...and that's where we decided to venture. The Takoyaki (octopus balls) and their rendition of albacore tuna Poke were simply sublime and taking Japanese cuisine in Wellington to another a level.

The difference is the quality of food. The tuna, the salmon, avocado ... all the ingredients are first choice. The service is provide with smiles :) in a good atmosphere. Nice place to eat something even if you are on the run. (ps: during the w-end time you have to choose after a menu, so you have to know a little bit more what would you want to eat ... )

The best shushi I have had in my life! Honestly amazing and it was vegan sushi which can often not be anything special. Our favourite was the vegetable tempura.
