R.Lovely little place. Their food is very good value for money. The staff are pretty friendly and down to earth. I had the lamb shank and this was excellently done. Even just the single shank was enough to 2 meals. Their online ordering makes the process a lot easier as they can get quite busy.
M.Probably the best turkish cafe I have been to in NZ, I had their lunch special and it was great value with great flavor. The staff are friendly and the owner is an outstanding member of the community. Cant wait to go back when I am in town again.

A.I love the food here. Its so fresh and my Place of Choice for a no-fuss and Quick, healthy and Tasty Dinner. I choose the salad or the Iskender and my Pup was lucky enough to get a small plate of chicken :-)

B.Local kebab shop on the strand. Food is tasty and comes in all the forms you'd expect for a kebab shop: doner kebabs, pita pockets, iskender, etc, with not too much imagination. A little over-priced for what you get but this is a small-town shop. Service was polite but unenthusiastic, hot portions of food were all reheated (falafel was microwaved before being added and meat was dished up from a warming box rather than shaved direct from the rotisserie). The have specials on a blackboard outside. If the website is anything to go by they also sell all the catering equipment necessary to setup your own kebab shop :)

Ataturk providing not only the most delicious authentic Turkish cuisine, but also been made to feel welcome each and every time we return (almost daily) by the owner and staff of Ataturk. My family and i love being able to sit outside and experience the warm whanau environment and the most amazing food in Whakatane. 5 STARS+!! 😁

M.Delicious food! Had a mixed rice meal, and oh man it was so good! They even serve Turkish beer which is a really nice addition. Staff were very friendly and even gave our group some free iced tea. We left very full and very happy.
K.First time here for my husband's birthday as he heard that their lamb shanks were great. It was! One happy man 😄. Staff were wonderful and spoiled us. Lovely way to spend the afternoon. Definitely going back.

G.The amount and quality of chicken (dry, over cooked and processed) was not the best for the price, sadly it failed what I would call a good meal. The drinks were refreshing and very affordable yet too sweet for me, and I'm a sweet tooth addict as well!

B.Amazing! restaurant quality service! We turned up a little early on a Sunday morning but knew it would be worth waiting for the shop to open as the food here has ALWAYS been exceptional, Aman was the man who served us he said they were down on staff and apologized for the wait, he was VERY polite taking our orders and we were treated with complementary cups of tea this makes all the difference! The food was absolutely worth the wait, you wont find Turkish food like this anywhere else. I ordered some cake to take away and was treated with an extra piece due to the short wait, again this makes all the difference, the kitchen and dining area is spotless (Clean) and the shop got busy very fast. Aman you are the man keep it up, will see you again this Sunday :)

V.Im a huge foodie and have traveled around alot between Australia and NZ and i must say between the two countries this is the Best Turkish food i have ever eaten! I always order a chicken salad and their hummus has to be the best hummus i have ever tried. Me and my partner do a 45minute drive to eat here.
