O.Worth the stop for the fish burgers we got here! Would have loved for the raw fish to have been a bit more filling but it was all good. Servings was not over the top and the deep fried stuff didn't feel too oily. Keep it up team! Maybe a little bit more chips??
M.I've been going here since I was a child. The taste is the same. I love it so much. It's very very good. Best fish n chips you will ever get.
A.Excellent fish and chip shop with an extensive menu. Also sell fresh and smoked fish, and bait. My personal favorite is the crumbed fish, their crumb is super crunchy.

Me and husband was order some fish burger, and was amaze by the size of the burger. Huge and full of filling, and really tasty. Definitely the big fish burger that I have ever know so far in whangarei..
And about the price, don't worry, not gonna make your wallet empty.. :-)

S.Excellent service. Clean and tidy premises. Our battered fish was fresh and well cooked. The chips and spring rolls that we ordered could have had an extra few minutes cooking as they were pale blonde in color and not crispy - so if blonde is your "thing" they were excellent 😃 I would probably go back if I was driving past and had nowhere else to go.
H.Se of the best fish and chips in Whangarei prices can be a bit steep but still affordable they also sell whole wet fish smoked fish kina oysters and shrimp cocktail too, they make the bomb diggity burgers too. This place is a must visit

H.Brought a flounder at $22.95 kg. Cost me $9 for 1 fish. Thought the price was a bit steep for what I got and the lady serving me had no idea where the fish came from. This information is important to me. If it was netted in the Hokianga I would happily pay the price. The flounder was fresh and tasty so I was satisfied but expect staff to be more knowledgeable about the products they sell.

L.Really very good fish and chips, in fact the best I've had since moving here! Also the "raw" fish tub is delicious for $7.50! Their flounder is really great, and it's on special right now 2 for $14.00 with chips! Really great value.
Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and really nice! I think the owner stuck his head in, and he seemed a bit grumpy. But other than that I will be back! The fish seems fresh, the chips were very good and the tarter sauce was yum!

S.I come to Onerahi regularly to visit my grandparents and it was my first time coming here. I usually cringe at the thought of fish and chip shop vege burgers (im vegetarian) but I have to say this was the BEST vege burger I have had in a long time. They are also very generous with the portion sizes as well as kind and friendly staff.

N.My first visit to this place last year was so great that we had to go back again this summer but much to our disappointment the fish is too oily this time and it seems not cooked. The chips are soggy and confusion if a combo includes drink. It could be that it was busy when we arrived so will try again when we get a chance probably next year.

H.As we aren't locals, I did a quick Google search while we were in whangarei for a good place to get fishnchips and found Stumpy's. We were not let down. First good sign was that they were busy.
The staff were friendly and the wait time was decent due to the amount of people in the shop. Would definitely recommend and will be back next time I'm in the city.

E.Clean & tidy establishment. Obviously popular as busy. Wide selection on menu including homemade items ie. fritters. Only complaint is that they need to drain the fried food longer before turning out into the paper, as too oily. Otherwise worth a try.
