Reviews of The Quay
S.
The restaurant location is perfect. It’s beautiful and cozy which is a plus. But, when it comes to the food w've been served, I cannot give more than 3 stars unfortunately.
The wait was long, my $40 eye fillet steak was cold and the souse was quite bland.

The wait is long, took us 30mins to get our food to the table which makes our youngest man grumpy and starving. My quay Reubens shredded beef a bit overcooked &tough. If you want something nice go for the fish tacos that's the only order I think that taste nice in our orders everything else's just plain and ordinary. Even the salad that goes with the fish&chips is plain &bland no sauce at all.

Every time I’ve been here the food and staff have been amazing, all times of day.
Always a good choice.
Today I had the Margarita Pizza and an Asahi beer

We had a long lunch and loved absolutely everything we ordered so much we came back to try other things the next day.
Service and location fantastic. Great menu with plenty of options and a good drinks list. Very busy over peak times so pays to book.
The staff were doing brilliant during what must be one of their busiest peak times.
Bathrooms were lovely and worth mentioning also.
We shared a bunch of things and highlights were the 500gm wagyu steak with accompanying (generous) sides and the ika mata was spot on!! We also had some spinach and ricotta dumplings, a sharing plate which had wontons, Hapuka sliders and pork belly and a pig out pizza which was my least fave but only due to the amount on there, the guys loved it.
Cocktails were also great.
Chicken burger was really yum we had it the next day after seeing so many come out! Along with the Rueben and potato truffle pizza.

Couldn't fault the service on a busy day. (27th December). The food was so good. Highly recommend the Quay pizza if you're a salmon lover. Nice atmosphere, will be back.

This place rocks ! We had a 5pm table, by the river, and an amazing meal of (all to share)
- slow cooked beef
- large green salad
- beetroot and buffalo curd salad with bread.
This meal was simply divine and took us an hour to eat mindfully.
Coming in at $141 for the two of us, highly recommended.
Fish options also looked great.
Would definitely return at the same early time of the day and also sit by the river.

The place looks really good. I was not very happy with my margarita pizza, while waiting a bit long for it.

Had a lunch here it a great dog friendly venue. The service was quick and attentive and the food was very tasty. The Ruben sandwich was a bit salty for us the fish tacos delicious
