I completed the Diploma in Digital Marketing in 2021 and found the course to be both comprehensive and relevant to the modern world in which we work. There is a good mix of creative, strategic and technical skills learnt throughout the course. The teachers are knowledgeable but approachable professionals that want to see you succeed. As a mother, being able to work remotely was invaluable and I enjoyed the weekly classes. I highly recommend NZIE to anyone considering their options.

I recently completed my Bachelor of Digital Marketing in October, and since then a whirlwind of life changes have come my way. Allowing me to get my first Marketing role in SEO, through an internship that really helped me gain first hand experience on the job. NZIE was a positive experience for me. Classes were practical yet demanding, and I could learn about trends and subjects I would not have been able to understand by learning with Google since it is difficult to follow a path without a tutor leading a programme and clarifying doubts. This diploma is mostly theoretical and assessments are focused on real businesses, so it depends on graduates to get real-life experience. After finishing the diploma, I can promote digitally my own business or work as a digital marketing specialist. Tutors were very supportive, especially when covid times started, making the learning process online, which was handy, and comfortable for me. The assessments were demanding, so get ready to research, write loads and give 100% of your time if you enrol.

I graduated from the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Business in 2018. I have an environmental science background and I had no previous significant experience in the business field. This was also the case of some of the colleagues in my cohort: engineers, nurses, teachers, dentists, to name only a few. Interacting with professionals from so many different areas of expertise, nationalities, and cultures was a very enriching experience and one of the highlights of the programme. These aspects together with the tutors' knowhow and the papers' content widened my understandings on management and leadership. The learning is based mainly on the practical application of the content and skills. The internship is a valuable opportunity to build professional experience in a New Zealand work environment. Another strength of the programme is the research papers. Albeit challenging, researching academic knowledge to apply in practical solutions for our host organisations provides gratifying results. Last but not least, I would not have made it if it was not for the kind and understanding support of the friendly staff. Moving overseas with family represents a brutal shift and NZIE always offered true pastoral care. I recommend this programme to anyone seeking for an open major and practical hands-on learning in the applied business including the opportunity to gain experience and eventually enter the job market through an internship in one of the many industry-partners available.

The location is great, the facilities are good, and the staff is very helpful and kind. Most importantly, the tutors were excellent, most of the classes were dynamic and assessment focused. Studying a new skill is a tough decision to make. However, shifting from the health profession to the digital world is not a joke. When I decided to learn Digital Marketing, I'm about to give up on my first paper. Working full time as a nurse and studying thoroughly simultaneously, I felt life is more thought than I expected. Rajika she's like a mother to all the student and very compassionate to her work. First, meet people from different countries, different cultures is a relevant experience to show your skill as a team worker. Also, the tutors were good, very attentive with differentiated technical knowledge and were supportive to students all the time. Last week I completed the course “Diploma in Digital Marketing” at NZIE. Initially, I struggled a lot to learn and understand the way the education system in New Zealand. This course also covers all types of Digital Marketing practices and tools in theoretical and practical ways. It Was new and a bit hard for me to submit the assessments in a short time but the NZIE's experienced industry professionals tutors are very friendly with students. I studied at NZIE Manukau campus in 2018. After being made redundant as a Marketing Manager, I chose to upskill myself in Digital Marketing and was accepted by NZIE. The course was challenging and very informative and I found all the tutors to be helpful, friendly and professional. I have since found full time employment as a Marketing Manager with a huge focus on digital marketing and am able to utilise many of the skills that I was taught by NZIE. I would highly recommend this diploma however be prepared to put the hours in if you expect to get the results you desire. What you put in, you get out.. A whole year of studying to achieve my goal was a roller coaster ride for me. It wasn't easy at all. Hardwork was there but I like how NZIE provided all the resources needed by students including academic and moral support and tutorial. The course program design also in Applied Business is good if you are planning to step in a higher management position. The courses helped me to unlock new set of skills and knowledge in me which I believe will be useful to me when I return to corporate world. The management also has been very supportive to me during those times that I was struggling with one of the courses that I am not good at. A roller coaster experience but a worth it experience!

Against some negative reviews, which I believe were made from a very narrow point of view, I will share my own experience as student in 2018. I think that writing is the best way in which a person can solidly learn and have a positive effect in the long run. Based on the fact that doing research (through a software provided) about a topic, creating your own insights and expressing them with words, I believe is the most effective learning/teaching method. Or is there any better? During the courses you have to write assignments, present them in front of the class, attend/participate in classes and experience the NZ work force. All this will occur under supervision, and constant guidance from the NZIE staff (English writing skills tutor, for example). Although requires dedication and lots of effort, I highly recommend this educational Institution. Chose your major, set your standards, and work hard. Do not hesitate to contact me. P.S. if you are lucky your classmates will be from different parts of the world what will bring some extra taste to the classes. Looking forward to do some further degrees in the future.

I had a great time studying my Digital Marketing diploma at NZIE. Had some really good tutors like Emily Cordwell, Inna Piven and Kirstie Jenner from whom I have learned a great deal. It's a small school which has its pros and cons. I made friends for life and had tons of fun with lovely people. It takes lots of effort for sure to pass but I really enjoyed the learning process.

NZIE has tutors that are competent and equipped with the knowledge to teach Digital Marketing. I have graduated from the Level-8 Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Business from this college who transforms students to a high quality honestly. In the beginning of my course I was not doing well and complained about the college because I didn't understand the requirements. There is no clue of writing attractive paragraph such as how to start, middle of paragraph, examples, ending a paragraph, grammar and citations. Later, I came to understand the academic writing style through an experienced tutor. Also, the college conducts academic writing classes apart from regular sessions. I advise new students to understand the requirements. Subsequently, you will pass in all the subjects. Initially, students might have to resubmit assessments because of gaps but these will be a benefit for students. But at the end of the course, the college is very supportive to finish on-time. Overall, students’ capabilities are improved. Therefore, students can learn more, feel the sense of achievement and complete the course ontime. This will help students for their future because I am experiencing the positive change in me.

I completed the NZIE Diploma in Digital Marketing Level 7 in 2019. This course was very informative and I learnt so much about all the different ways in which you can market digitally. I had no experience in creating videos, websites or SEO and SEM prior to the course, but the tutors were very knowledgeable and supportive. In addition the tutors created so many opportunities for external input from professionals already in the field and chances for us to have practical experience as well. There was a great mix of students from all over the world and from different backgrounds and ages, which made the course for me even more interesting. Being a Level 7 course there was a lot of assignments which is to be expected, however the tutors were very helpful in guiding us through all the assessment papers leaving no doubt as to what was expected of us. Since gaining my diploma I have felt confident enough to create work opportunities for myself as a contractor to a wide variety of businesses and the broad knowledge base that I acquired from this course has now enabled me to accept which areas of digital marketing I like to work in but also allows me to have an understanding about all the others, should I decide to contract work out. I studied Digital Marketing at NZIE. The programme is a mix of practical and theoretical lessons, gives you great knowledge to start the career at Digital Marketing field. I enjoyed attending Inna Piven and Emily Cordwell classes.

I would discourage any student who’s first language is not English to not study here in particular the diploma in digital marketing. One of the tutors is emotionally abusive to the students. Courses have being done through zoom. Even after lockdown the college is trying to make the course an online course. Save your fees and go somewhere else. Instead of teaching and training the students, if he’s asked a question he gives answers like “just look it up on you tube”. Most of the time he will simply tell the students to research something on the internet, then turn his camera off and not be seen. Today for example he had his camera off the entire time. I want to warn others to stay away. I’m wouldn’t be surprised if the other reviews are fake. Read the other one star reviews and you will see a common thread. If the course improves and the unprofessional teacher is removed, I will gladly change this feedback. Also today he said that even if we return to campus, he will still conduct the lessons through zoom. Update: 28 August Several complaints were made to student services There is one teacher who is qualified. An Indian lady. She is an awesome teacher. She has training. The other teacher is an awesome designer, however he has other ventures and business interests. So it’s almost like we are a burden to him. He obviously is working on other projects while he is suppose to be teaching. This is why he would switch his camera of and get frastrated if the students asked for help. I would suggest the company have some kind of audit program (discreetly) to monitor the tutors performance.

Essentially, you've got just 3 criteria to choose/assess the educational institution: 1. Diploma - NZQA-assessed, level 7, but no degree, not even Graduate Diploma - 2.5 stars 2. Networking - highly depends on who you study with and who your teachers are, however I really enjoyed the chance to meet and learn from the guest speakers - this is where the real value comes from - 3.5 stars 3. Knowledge - a lot of information, but mostly theory, which is not very useful when it comes to DM. You'll not be Facebook/Google/whatever platform expert, but you'll be given tools, maybe links and tips, so dig deep and learn on your own, before/between/after assessments - 3 stars Bottom line: you need to be able to do self-learning/self-studying, better have background knowledge/basic idea of marketing or copywriting or sales or digital design (like websites, UX, etc), check who your teachers are, and also admin staff (they change all the time). 3 stars in total, far from great experience, but I think with right people in leadership and good tutors, they have a chance to get there. Thanks anyway. Never studied abroad, interesting experience. Forth star is for Emily personally :D Talented teacher, great leader and an amazing personality.

Since 2017 the Northern Football Federation/Northern Region Football has had six Student Interns from NZIE. The organisation has worked closely with us to identify suitable areas of work that meet our needs as well as match the students area of interest/expertise. All the students have been excellent! They are very professional in their attitude, seek support when they need it but are capable of working independently with minimum supervision. All projects have been delivered on time and to a high standard. Some of the analysis spreadsheets they have developed are still used in our annual assessments and reviews of the organisations impact. We would definitely look to host NZIE students in the future.
