I have completed one course already and am working though a second course now. I am finding the study great. The online/offline format is fantastic. I can work when and where I want. It's challenging yet getting help is quite easy. Really worth checking out the great range of courses, both the short and long.

I have done 2 Certificates so far with The Career Academy and in the process I am completing a Diploma in Xero. I like this place of study because of it's convenience, costs, communication and resources. The study material is simplified where you can understand and easily follow the course through. Help and assistance is very easy to access and I am able to do my study whenever I can. You can the course off in instalments which has been great for me as I wasn't able to afford costs upfront. I am doing study on the side of work and it has been a very satisfying experience. I studying towards being a bookkeeper and The Career Academy has made my journey so far simple and rewarding. I have really enjoyed studying with The Career Academy. This was the first time that I have studied using an online service and I did find it a little difficult initially, as there were so many links to different pages and I was not sure if I had seen everything. Other than that, the modules were presented well, easy to understand and I loved the screenshots. I have enjoyed the content of the course I have chosen. I have definitely found having the printed material beneficial. Was very nervous about submitting my first paper but found the instructions very helpful and wasn't that scary at all. Extremely nervous about getting my results back, but again the feedback and comments were very good from Bess. I have only had Bess mark my papers so far and happy with her comments. So far I have passed my first 4 papers which has been great for the moral that I can do this diploma and keep going. With the planner we were given at the beginning, I have been able to keep myself on track and know how often my papers need to be submitted, this is great when I have a busy life. I am really enjoying the flexibility of the correspondence course and not having to have papers submitted with deadlines, except for the completion date in 12 months time.

I enrolled with Career Academy in late August and so far am enjoying what I’m currently learning. Due to covid and lockdown, I didn’t receive my hard copies until October which was understandable. But I’ve found them to be very beneficial and a great asset since I prefer books over anything. Hi there The one thing that I would love to see The Career Academy do is, when you start a course you should be given a tutor and all their contact details, the tutor should then give you times when they are available to help you with your studies. This is the most useful thing that would help so much in future. As I have found getting in contact with tutors to have been slow and hard work.

The career academy has been great to help me up skill whilst I'm on maternity leave (doing diploma in excel and Xero) as I can study when I want to any time of the day. I was hesitant to start studying. I had never heard of the Career Academy and came across you when I was surfing around online. I wanted to do something with my life and have always loved anything medical. I never had any encouragement growing up and at the age of 52 I felt it would be too challenging for me to study. But before I knew it, I was suddenly signing up! Right from the start the Admin lady kept in contact with me and helped me with my registration. Then when I submitted my assessments I was fearful I had done terribly and didn't know if I would be able to stick it out. We'll I was so surprised! I have had a mixed experience. I am studying Diploma in Business Administration. The start was great. I learnt a lot from it. Got up to the Xero and MYOB course and the course online has different material to the books I was sent. I paid $100 for the books and they arrived being print off from the internet, not worth the money at all. Now up to the project management and there are some videos in the course content..... The first video shows unavailable, so can not be watched. The course content online and in the book need to be looked over and needs to be changed to match also videos need to be changed if they become unavailable.

I really enjoy the way that the AAT Qualified Bookkeepers Pathway is put together. The content is great and the materials are clearly explained. The course is divided up in good workable chunks, so that you can fit in bite-size pieces of work into an already busy day. The structure of the course with a) the learning materials (with little knowledge/understanding to check your understanding and consolidate your knowledge) b) the reading that is required and advised and c) the assessments provides for good retention and learning. It means that you see the same material come past in slightly different forms, which really helps the retention of the things that need to be learnt. Furthermore, the interaction and comments from the Tutors are encouraging and helpful. Also, Tash in sales was really great - responsive, but not pushy.....The helpdesk was responsive too - I only contacted them once, but withdrew my request as I found what I was after in the next minute... I just did not look properly for what I was after. So, a very well justified 5 out of 5 stars in my opinion..... I don't often give people / organisations references, but this team deserves it. Hube

Great experience with Career Academy. Was able to get my Diplomas in MYOB and Xero on my time frame, working at my own pace from home. I earned my BA as an extramural student and this was so much better not having to wait for a semester to start. The tutors were excellent when I couldn't understand how to get a bank reconciliation to balance and responded quickly and helpfully.

Pretty stoked with this course. For less than $3000 I can become a Chartered Accountant in under two years, with working knowledge of Xero and MYOB. I purchased the physical course material as an extra (which is just the online material printed and bound); it's great to have everything in a book for offline learning. The online library has everything I need to supplement my studies. The gamification of the course material is just enough to show immediate results, without diminishing the course itself. I haven't spoken to any tutors yet - just because I haven't needed to - but the community forums are well used by other students and it's easy to contact tutors or support if needed from almost anywhere on the website. Overall, i'm very happy I made the choice to do the Certificate in Bookkeeping. I have a low vision and hopping to get an office job which is why i took the CA administration course. Its good that i can do these right from my own home and finish it at your own paste. They also offer printed course notes and text books to help you study too. I have a mix feeling with these course 1/2 of me feel satisfy with it and the other 1/2 of me feel very disappoint here's why. I enjoy Certificate of BA level 4 very much and i think its worth the purchase, but not Dip of BA level 6. For that price i dont think its not fare judging by the course material on Dip of BA. From duplicate material that are repeated from cert of BA to poorly written material on overall module within Dip of BA. Even the assignment its not feel like Level 6 at all its more like L4. Unlike Cert of BA assignment there are alot more challenging question that would benefit you in the actual work place. I am abit sad that the course its not NZQA so that way i can choose to continue study in different place and higher level of learning. I am now completing the Accounting Pathway Program and aiming to get a job in accounts as this course is Nationally Recognized by employers and The Career Academy is well known for delivering high quality courses in the Accounting and Bookkeeping profession. The course is suitable for anyone that has completed a bookkeeping course and would recommend that it is a prerequisite. When I completed the MYOB Cert 2 Accounting and Bookkeeping in Australia, you had to have had knowledge of bookkeeping. I have heard from a Chartered Accountant, that mostly the person processing the books using Xero in the business do not always know what they are doing and the CA has to hire someone to fix up the client's mistakes. I would recommend any business owner to get their employee on this course. I have only used the tutor once and his explanation was clear and effective.

the course is ok but its just not something that i am very passionate about due to the fact that i am only doing it to prove that i am capable of doing a course to my acc case manager so that she would be more inclined to allow me to do a more expensive course that i want to do. also i have got a wee tad behind due to not having a computer that run properly until now. because my desktop computer would just crash halfway through doing something and also trying to fit it in with my seizures and exhaustion has been rather hard for me, i am hoping to catch up in everything now seeing as i have a computer that actually runs properly. one thing i am finding hard is that when it comes to theory i struggle with it quite immensely because im more of a piratical person doing things with my hands and i am a tad anxious about weather the paper i have just done is going to be at a high enough standard to actually pass it.
