T.Nice little homely motel units... we stayed in a studio for 2. It's old school but with a nice paint job!! The whole complex is lovely and the pool is a great size

D.Wow! What a great effort they have put into the outside garden of this motel. Outside pool, clean and inviting. Next time i will choose a down stairs garden room that opens up to the view of summer flowers, bushes and trees. Rooms are air conditioned, clean and spacious designed for couples. Access to main street is in 2 mins walking distance. Great venue recommend.
G.Very impressed. We called late to book in. The owner stayed up for our arrival and couldn't have been friendlier. He had turned the heater on in our unit and everything was ready. Very comfortable. Highly recommended.
H.If I could give this more than 4 stars I would. We love our weekend trips away and do them quite often, so far Avalon Motel is the nice one we have stayed at in a really long time. It’s spacious for our family of four, very clean and tidy and the bed are comfortable. The staff we really friendly. We will definitely be back! Thanks 😊
P.Nice pool and clean rooms. Very budget level of comfort in rooms but not a budget price to match. The smallest, cheapest possible tv. Tacky room decorations. To get from upstairs rooms to pool, you have to squeeze past through a service area and across broken concrete, which is weird because the rest of the gardens are absolutely beautiful.

T.The owners are very kind and accommodating. The room was very nocel and the cleaning staff were amazing. My kids and I had a great stay!! Pool is awesome too. Lots of fun and close to town.

B.After flying from Auckland to Melbourne, we had a full day of dramas at every turn. The only positive was our motel. Our host was warm and welcoming, with good local advice. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a big window outlook to the pool and pristine lawn. Great jumping off point for the Coromandel.

P.We stayed at the Avalon Motel earlier this week and even though they are currently upgrading the whole motel we were very satisfied with our room. it was spacious, well set out and most of all very clean. the service on both arrival and check out was excellent, a very pleasant stay. We will definitely recommend the Avalon and will stay there again when we next visit Thames.

D.Tidy and clean. Note above sink to do your own dishes. I actually dont mind doing my own dishes but it always makes me wonder if the dishes are clean. Every time I see a note like this ... I dont feel like doing the dishes.

F.Actually there was no more vacancy when I went to this Motel, but the guy was very nice and friendly. He let me sleep in my tent in the garden for free !
