I love that you can sample the cheeses before deciding which ones you want for your platter! The staff are really friendly and helpful. The blue cheese is a MUST! So so so good, I wanted to buy some but was spending the day travelling in the car and didn't have the means to store it.

We loved everything about our stop at the cheesery. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the wine was delicious, and every element on the Mini Gourmet board was perfectly curated to work together. And excellent selection, prepared with attention and care. The price for two of us was likely less than if we had stopped in to a full restaurant, but we left very full and satisfied with our experience.

A great place to be if you are a Cheese lover. I did cheese tasting for the first time and couldn't stop myself from ordering a cheese platter all to myself. It is served with choice of cheese, crackers and fresh fruit jam. Absolutely delicious! You can pick lots of assortments and have them on way.

First off... the front staff was super friendly and helpful. They offer a small selection of cheeses for sampling. We tried their mini gourmet cheese platter which was great. They also have a winery in the premises which means the wine quality was very good. I would recommend you to come early as it gets busier as the day goes on. Overall, it was a great stop and if you like cheese you should give it a try.

A wonderful pairing of cheese and wine. Very reasonably priced and generous with the size of cheese too. Friendly staff and water for you to also drink. Small gifts and sweets are available to purchase too. You can also take home your cheese in a bag if you dont eat all of it. Also do get the olives - they are extra but really good.

Amazing little spot for cheese tasting, definitely stop at Gibbston Valley Cheese if you’re in the area. Recommend you try all you want before you settle on a triple cheese platter, and of course buy a little block (or two!) to take home for further snacking sessions 🤤

Another regular place we love to visit when we're down this way. Beautiful setting, good coffee and yummy food. Unsurprisingly the food is cheese themed! Great selection of cheese and accompaniments for tasting.

Great cheese! The service was excellent, they walked us through all the different cheese options, gave us tastes and it was a good price! (~$55 for the 2 person platter and 2 glasses of wine)

Free cheese tasting and the lady in charge was very helpful, she explained what makes the cheeses unique from each other. Loved the blue cheese (not too strong) and the cumin gouda.

Wow. We came on the Hop on Hop off bus. We had the beer tasting platter each and our friends the wine tasting. These were amazing,great value. Going back today for cheese rolls. Went back for the cheese rolls the next day. Amazing. Obviously the owner served us again. Best service in the whole of Arrowtown. The other stores there could take a good look at themselves.

Nice place to stop for lunch. Nice cheeses and ok wine. Friendly service but was dissapointed with the food. Mac n cheese took ages to arrive and I found it to be a bit bland. Asked for salt and pepper, pepper arrived after 5-10 mintutes. No salt though as the one salt shaker they apparently had just been dropped and broken by the staff on route to me. So I got to eat a bland and underwhelming and cold Mac n cheese due to the wait and lack of seasoning. Shame.

Gibbston Valley really knows their cheese. The platter was so very delicious. It's fun to try all of the tasty samples in the shop too!

Fabulous... where to start... friendly obliging people serving... a wonderful spot to wile away your time sipping Otago wine and sampling delicious platters from the menu or custom created... (they make platters to go too)... we love it ... oh and awesome coffee and home made bakery for breakkie... and we have just found out that they are now serving a locally made "bubbles" with breakfast, yep... heaven!

They do cheese tastings and have a couple of really nice cheese platters to share. The 5 cheese platter was super filling and would probably be enough for 3 - 4 people. Nice atmosphere, knowledgeable staff and a great selection of cheese. I just wish they also sold the cheese loose instead of in those plastic packages.

Excellent selection of high quality cheeses and pastes for sale in the shop, complimented with friendly and knowledgeable staff. We stopped here on the way to Christchurch and got a platter for two with three cheeses, some fruits, dips, chorizo and more - it was delicious and more than enough to tie us over til dinner, and we had a great time sitting outside, breathing in some fresh air and taking our time. I'd recommend the blue brie and some guava paste if you're looking to bring something with you to have later, with some of the range of crisp breads they have in stock 👍

Well worth stopping off on the way out from Gibbston Valley Winery! Wonderful cheeses and amazing chutney and relish on offer. Can't rate the Brie unfortunately, White Stone Cheesery around the corner won best brie in my books. The pinot soaked cheddar was interesting, but our favourite cheese here had to be the garlic and chive gouda! Yum!!

Recently moved to Arrowtown from Gibbston, they have amazing cheese rolls and locally roasted coffee. A great place to go for gifts or hamper fillers too 🥰
