Not sure why this is attached to Animates Manuka, I had posted under Hamilton lake! I have been at this well known spot in Hamilton many times over my life, it is amazing to see how they keep providing the great experience, with something new each time, to add a little mystery to each visit. We enjoyed the fairly new water features which have interactive opportunities for the young and old to try. Loved our latest visit with my Grandchildren and had to finish with the obligatory ice cream as seen in the photos.

Went into store today and I had forgotten my mask, and the super friendly team member behind the counter offered me a mask. I found the team super friendly and efficient and I love their community spirit, helping raise funds for rescues at Christmas time. Highly recommend this store as they really know their stuff !!!!! A+

Male staff member that works there, absolute bots. I called to pick up my order (contactless) & he told me to call back when we are there, at the store. I asked if we could sort it now, as i was at the roundabout around the corner. He said he didn't want to go on because he doesn't think its a good idea for me to drive and talk on the phone. I told him i wasn't driving, not that it was any of his business. Pretty sure its the same bots that asked us if we were going to desex our dog when we asked him to show us where the period pads are for our dog. My husband replied no, again - not that it was any of his business. The female staff that work there are awesome though! The three stars are for them :) Invisible non existent stars for the bots.

Great sale. Bought more than I should have. A happy dog and cat with yummy food and treats. Cheaper prices than my local vet.

I just love pet stores because most of them have “Live” animals that I always want to take home. This store today had a few very cute rabbits and cats. They also had the cheekiest turtle that would try to nip your finger though his glass enclosure. They also have a fabulous range of fish and aquariums with some very cute accessories. You can also book into use their DIY dog wash Bay and buy bulk pet litter.

Helped with a click and collect for my dog i hadnt seen for a month due to getting stuck during lock down. It was really special to me to get him a toy before i went home and they sorted me out last minute. Thanks for the kindness

Purchased some goods online from click and collect while I was outside the store , customer service was great, would have given 5 stars but only downfall was the stock levels, wish they kept on top of stock levels at this store considering it’s one of the main busy stores

Estelle has amazing customer service, she was helping us with a fish tank and broke down everything we would need and giving us the best options. Amazing customer service will personally look for her next time we come in. Thank you Estelle !! 😊 Edit: We ended up buying the tank, Ashley recognized us from the following day and was also super lovely and super friendly. These girls are fabulous our one stop shop for any of our fish needs.

Right from my ordering on line and with my click and collect everthing went so smoothly. And for a person thats not into shopping on line ( Had to do a coupleve other stores that way ) found Animates following their simple procedure and finally my pick up the best... So thank you Animates.👌👌

Nice place but always seem to run out of certain dog food and the animates bath area should have a (bigger) non slip mat. Cos there's nothing to dry the floor properly before or after bathing its a Hazard its dangerous if someone or dog slips - Only an old wet mop in the corner does not help.

Not bad although lacks selection in some areas like cat collars

The betta needed attention so I headed to visit the amazing Jen and wonderful Sareena to get some much appreciated advice to help Darth Betta out of his dilemma. Sareena has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fish and teamed with Jen you just can’t go wrong. I find the staff have always provided me with the best customer service and I have always walked away happy. Thank you both for the fantastic work you do to ensure everyone (fish, cats, dogs, small animals and humans) are well cared for! You are all the absolute best!

I went in last night (15 minutes before closing) and the lovely tall, blonde lady went out of her way to offer me advice in regards to what food I should get for my puppy who was originally on BlackHawk (it's the worst puppy food ever, and made my puppy really sick, not to mention the vet bills associated with his gastro issues). I took home a bag of the purina puppy food, and the next day, my puppy had normal bowel movements! He's doing so much better!! Thank you so so much!

It's ok , the Aquarium plants weren't the healthiest looking but the fish stuff is great. ☺️ Definitely not the cheapest but the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable.

This is my second time interacting with Manukau branch. It was an enquiry and 'Jen' did a fantastic job at trying to get my goods to me earlier than the appointed time. I absolutely appreciate the level of customer service she provided, she went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the outcome. I also heard the way she spoke with her collegues and she has a great manner all around. Stella staff at Manukau Animates.

Great but spent $55 on flea treatment & 2wks later cats have fleas again. Have since been back & was told by male attendant, that the flea treatment i was sold by female attendant previously as very good is NOT very good as it's old techno.& will only last a mth. at the most, the dearer treatments are a lot better($20-30 more).

Great selection of products for all types of animals, have have nothing but excellent customer service! The prices can be a bit high, but this also reflects the quality of products available.

A neatly displayed store with helpful staff and looked clean. Parking maybe difficult if during busy times, a negative would be back of aquarium plans which is what I was primarily looking for. Specials we're well displayed and pricing was clear. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I went into Animates Manukau on behalf of another person and was pleasantly surprised to receive a very warm and friendly greeting when I first walked in. The young man immediately attended to my need. He and his assistant both went over and above the call of duty to sort out my problem. I was really impressed. The shop was well stocked and and product was easy to find and was pleasant to walk around. I would definitely recommend this branch of Animates to other people. A very good experience for me.

Great place to get everything I need for my pets - Dog, cat and fish. Helpful, knowledgeable staff is always a plus.

Very helpful staff and friendly I go there almost every week to get Lillys food.

Have a dog wash and if your dog doesn't like the dog biscuits you can take them back and exchange for some other biscuits they may like. Good customer service. They'll clean up if your dog makes a mess.

We only went in for a look around. We don't have any pets so I take my kids through to look at te animals. The self service dg wash is pretty cool. The kids were excited to see someone wash their dog.

Great place to get your pet supplies, often shop here and i have found the experience quite pleasant.

Bought a betta but I was requested a water sample first. Never have been asked that with my previous fishy purchases. I was still able to get my betta but Animates will not liable for the death of the fish if it dies. No signs found in store about bringing a water sample.

I find them some of them a pleasure and some of them just awful. Sarah, and another lady there is not very friendly at all, they never smile, they don't say Hi, shouldn't be in customer service if that's your personality!!!! Not happy!!!

Wonderful experience. Carol was fantastic and so passionate about fish, she helped my 7 year old daughter setup tank and gave her the knowledge to care for her fish. Daughter loves going to animates and talking to carol about fish and how to look after them properly. Thanks Carol Sam and Danika
