S.The quality of the toys and leads at animates is unrivalled.
The duck is my dogs favourite and he destroys one a week so I’m always having to get a new one but the look on his face as he rips the stuffing is priceless.
That lead is so durable, make sure you buy the one with the tape not the string as you could cut your legs on that.

N.We’ve always had such a good experience at Animates Néw Lynn. The staff are so friendly. A big thank you to Ray, by far the best dog groomer. Also thank you for the Christmas ornament, it’s the little touches that matter.

B.Super friendly and amazing staff. They are very knowledgeable too. They have a wide variety of products, and the store is always very clean. The pets you can adopt there are also kept in very clean cages and are treated very well. They all seemed well looked after, happy and super adoptable!

They can help you with food selection or give you tips on how to care for your pet. They also have a loyalty program so you get some sweet savings the more you shop there

P.Click and collect due to lockdown, took less than an hour before I got the text my order was ready. I tried everything to rid my cat of fleas. The only thing that did work was treatments at the Vet - who can afford that? Not me..... Until I tried Comfortis Flea Tablets, what a god send! Within a couple of hours the fleas were dropping off her like flies to Mortein. By the next day there were next to nothing left, very impressed with this product, the best I've used so far and the only product I will use from now on.

S.Animates are good but not cheap and I get frustrated trying to get treats there for my dog because all of the dried meat they sell is from China, which has been causing kidney issues with dogs in New Zealand. I've feed this info back to Animates, but they must also know it being in the industry - hence the frustration. I'm glad that they only sell pets from the SPCA now though and there is a good selection of products.

R.This store is located right on the corner of a busy intersection. There is minimal parking due to there not being enough space . The employee who attended to my needs was very focused and welcoming..Being an animal lover and pet owner, I would have no qualms about revisiting this store again..thankyou.
A.I take my dog here for a wash it's only$10 and very convenient or they can wash and groom your dog for you as well as that they have an abundance of pet food friendly staff
R.Cool that you can take your dog to have a bath, but the staff did not assist me with how the machine works. I thought you put the coin in and it runs on a timer as it turns, but I soon found out after 4 mins of shampooing my dog that you have to turn the dial yourself to the other settings.
V.Lots of choice for Mitch's birthday present toy! Lots of treats and chewing things to sniff. Nice staff who make a fuss of your dog and who have good knowledge od their products. Sale was on so great prices.

L.my pet loving friends go here, and also to the Richmond Rd branch. this shop allows their dogs inside and stock whatever body parts or accessories they require for the smallest members of the family.
when they make robots like in the blade runner book this store I believe will be one of the first to embrace the new technology

S.More expensive than some competitors but they stock good quality rabbit food (burgess). Staff always friendly but ate young and not always very knowledgeable. Clean and tidy store with lots of variety.
R.We go here for grooming for our standard poodle and love the ease of booking him in for a weekend appointment. Cassie and the whole team are lovely both in the grooming room and the shop floor. My favorite animates store.

B.The self service dog wash here is always running out of product. Other Animates (e.g. Westgate and St Lukes) are better.
