Reviews of Bookmark Secondhand Books
T.
Great place for pre loved books. You can find books about anything for anyone here. Kids books too. As you come in, you realise the size of the place and it just goes around and round and round, with shelves full of books of all kinds from floor to ceiling.

I found the exact book I 📖 was looking for & didn't even know I was looking for it until I had it in my hand. It's that good of a book store that I'll always have faith that I'll find the book I want.
Z.
Awesome shop has a cool atmosphere, and lots of nice books
v.
Great 2nd book shop, quirky period decorations.

Wonderful collection of books. Take the time to browse. It's well worth it. Service was friendly and helpful
M.
A fantastic bookshop with helpful staff. Well worth a look.

I often find scarce books here in fine condition. I never bargain as the prices are right on the mark. Never expect books for no money. That's unrealistic. But browse and it's likely you'll find something you'll appreciate finding. Good staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

OMG...this place was my childhood..!! My grandfather used to own the dairy that was located next door and I remember spending many a childhood hour holed up in the bookstore because you can actually sit and read there also. I took my wife to show her the 'blast from the past'! Simply AMAZING! If you are nearby, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to go in and take a look...!
D.
Good place for avid book reader fantastic selection of books from fiction to book of interest and price are reasonable less than what you pay at a general book store. U could spend probably a hour looking for books to your interest. Martin is the book store owner and very knowledgeable on all books.
D.
Fantastic book store! The incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff gave me some excellent book recommendations and gave me the time to read through a stack of them to find which one I was most drawn to. Clearly a place for genuine lovers of literature, highly recommend a visit.
R.
Truly a brilliant yet quaint store married to a fine collection of books of all sorts. As a student, I find these books certainly helpful in improving my English.
I.
Found so many books there
B.
A wonderful place to explore and discover the world through a wide range of fine titles at reasonable cost. Couldn't help myself in getting a title from a favourite author...

Top shop for old books 📚

I was recently on holiday in New Zealand and stumbled upon Book Mark second hand books in Takapuna. It's a great book shop which sells far more than books, and the staff are great. They had a huge selection of books and they're only a short walk to a fantastic beach where you can sit and read your book. A fraction of the cost of brand new books, it's great to recycle.

I’m on a trip back home and was in search of an old time favourite read and was ecstatic to find it here in this lovely haven.
The staff were great and assisted me greatly.
Finding this book was so important to me and it felt like they knew this ❤️

A very beautiful bookshop. Gives you a warm homey feeling the moment you step in. Great collection of books especially the classic ones. Highly recommended.

They have a gun on the wall. And its a proper vibe. 10/10, books a bit pricey but still well worth it.
S.
Vintage and second hand books. An immense collection, a total joy for any booklover. I found the prices a bit expensive, $10 for most used Enid Blyton books!
B.
Very good bookstore, it has wide range books you will ever find. Excellent ambiance.
N.
A large selection of children's books. All the following is after looking only in the children's section.
Looking through a box on classic fairy tales the average price per book was $16. Lots in the $20s and one even $35.
On the shelves prices were better with an average price of $12. Book condition had a large effect on the cost of the books, if it looked like-new you will pay like-new prices.
Eg. The paperpower a few doors up were selling brand new Roald Dahl books on sale for the same price as the second hand ones.
A good way to be environmentally-friendly, not the best way to get a great deal with on books.

I always find what I look for and the staff are always very helpful and patient. I never miss going when I visit Devonport although is risky as I always end up buying a book.. some books.
