Beautiful and ethical clothes, books, gifts and bags. I can rarely afford to buy anything here, but I recently got a GORGEOUS bag (layby darling) by ELK. It's practical as it is lovely. Very nice service, well curated items. The ethical production and local experience is costly but well worth it.

Good Thing are the "best thing" to happen to Mt Albert. Such an incredible team of women who take the time to chat (or leave you alone if that's how you prefer to roll). Being in-store is like getting a giant hug. I've never left without making a purchase, the product range is amazing! Well worth the visit, even if you don't live in the area.

My absolutely fav store for all the things!!! It’s been my one stop shop for pressies, cards and beautiful clothing (since I stumbled across it). It’s always dangerous to go in and try anything on as I not only love all their stunning pieces, the honest and beautiful staff make it an ease to add them to your wardrobe. Love having this local treasure so handy!

I love Mt Albert's Good Thing. I always find wonderful things for my home and I have also purchased some fabulous items of clothing there. Such a welcoming store with super friendly, helpful staff and a plethora of ingenious gift ideas. A one stop shop for all my needs.

This store in Mt Albert is a favourite of mine. Always stocked full of beautiful, seasonal clothing, fashion accessories and a really cool range of curated designer homewares and gifts for her and him! Super friendly staff, convenient parking and Wild Wheat bakery next store for coffee and a loaf. A true gem in Mt Albert always worth the visit!

Smells great 😊 lovely stationery ,smellies ,umbrellas ,cushions, jewellery ,I love looking around. My favourite purchase from here was a box set of Marimekko postcards.

This lovely little shop is the perfect place to find beautiful things, ranging from cards to gorgeous clothes and stylish homewares. The ladies who work here pride themselves on knowing their merchandise and on offering friendly, kind, honest advice. As a local, I try to shop here as often as I can and highly recommend others to do so too.

Walking into Good Thing is like walking into a bestie's house, the vibe is relaxed and you're always made to feel so at home and welcome. The tough part is leaving without buying anything - everything is so inviting and tempting. Good Thing is that one-stop kind of shop. Go into shop for a pressie for your mum and come out wearing some amazing new clothes. It's a pure delight of a destination shopping experience. :-)

Stumbled across this shop by pure accident as I live the other side of town. What a wonderful surprise with so many gorgeous treats inside. I have since visited twice more and everytime I've been greeted with warmth and familiarity. I absolutely adore my corduroy dress, my Stella & Gemma bag and my fabulous NZ made earings. This is officially my favorite shop!

Love this local shop, but definitely worth a trip from out of area. If you can leave this shop having spent nothing, then there is something seriously amiss. So many gorgeous things to tempt you. Great service and the most patient people around. Can’t wait for after lockdown but online is getting me through….

A gorgeous boutique store, full of beautifully selected clothes and accessories including many local designers. A great destination for unique giftware. High quality, good value and the loveliest of staff.

I ordered 4 beautiful vases from Good Thing and they arrived very quickly, but when they arrived I found the courier had smashed two of them! I emailed and received a response almost immediately. Jade was brilliant and packaged up replacements for me with LOADS of packing to ensure it didn’t happen again. The replacement vases arrived less than 48 hours later. An awesome customer experience, I will definitely be shopping at Good Thing again.

Such a fab store and service. I rang to check they had a product I needed for a next day birthday gift. They did but I couldn’t make it to the store before closing. So they suggested I bought it online then as she luckily lived near me she kindly dropped it off on her way home, beautifully gift wrapped too. Amazing service. Thanks so much! Beautiful store, full of beautiful things owned by lovely Mt Albert locals. The selection in there is to die for, with something unique for everyone.
