I highly recommend Hauraki Home Brew Services. Tiffany helped me to salvage my first brew, when due to weather conditions, it did not look turn out as expected. Even though I had not bought my kit from her, she helped me – explaining exactly what had happened, how I could have circumvented problems and how to proceed safely. She gave me her own written instructions (which were so much easier to understand than the manufacturer's). And, she even gave me a small section of plastic tubing she knew I would need when it came to bottling – for free. I recently enjoyed the resulting brew I created and am looking forward to getting my next one going. Thank you so much!

I've been using Hauraki products for years. Always friendly, helpful advice. Tiff and Jase really know their stuff and are always expanding their stock. Excellent quality products and at a reasonable price. I could buy 90% of my stuff online elsewhere, but I really just like going in there for yarns with Tiff and knowing that I'll always get what I need. However, if I can't make in into the store, there online shop is fantastic. I know my order will be treated with care and sent out the next working day so I'm never waiting long for my supplies. Really great shop, really great stock, and really lovely people. Wouldn't get my stuff from anywhere else, even if you paid me to. (I'd definately go and spend that money at Hauraki anyway). Best home brew shop in Auckland hands down. Great advice and friendly owners. What especially sets them apart is their meticulous hop storage and packaging. Many hops that I have purchased from other stores came in packaging that wasn't sealed properly and you could clearly smell the hops through the bag. Hauraki vacuum bags their hops fresh from the supplier so they are always super fresh when you open them. They also have a great variety of grains and extract and an awesome little store. I never go anywhere else if I can help it

Friendly staff and good product selection. Prices are very competitive and often better than other brick and mortar HBS even if it's only a dollar difference. The location is convenient to my work which is a big factor for my visits as it means I can pop out on my lunch break. Staff seem very knowledgeable and willing to share their experience with patrons. Definitely worth stopping by. The building is a bit hard to spot from the road as the sign is small but easy to get to once you know where you are going.

I've been going into Hauraki for a few years now and have always gotten great deals and even better advice. The staff is extremely friendly, and have always taken time to answer questions I had, and offer advice. It's honestly one of the most friendly shops I've been to in New Zealand. I wish more places cared as much for their customers as Hauraki Home Brew does.

The team here have a good and sensible range of brewing and distilling gear and I've not found anything they cannot source. It makes a real change to find a craft business that stocks such a wide range. The extra plus is the knowledge they bring and are happy to share, even about gear you may not have bought from them. If you are thinking of starting this hobby, I'd make the effort to visit as you will learn a lot and start off with the right equipment, rather than buying from a purely mail order place and having to make a bit of a guess.

Hauraki Home Brew is an excellent shop for new and experienced brewers. When I first started I had no idea where to start, Tiff was fantastic suggesting an easy starter kit and over time getting more 'experimental'. The shop is great and if tiff doesn't have something will strive to get it in. I'm yet to find a question Tiff can't answer. This is my go to shop for anything related to home brew.

Im a second generation brewer to purchase from and favour Hauraki Home Brew. Mum started in the 90s purchasing from HHB when they were at Hauraki Corner and when she passed on her kit to me she sent me to Jase and Tiff who are so incredibly helpful and bubbly. Its nice to have a good yarn in their awesome bright and cheery shop. Both know so much and are never put out to help with any issue, big or small.

Looks like some competitors have been getting a bit jelous of this awesome crowd, and written some nasty untruthful reviews. Dont believe anything negative out there, these guys are one of the best.

Very well stocked shop. I order online, and select to collect. If a product is not available i order an alternative or will try and buy from somewhere else. Very handy to be able and buy hops in 50gram lots.

Hauraki Homebrew are my local shop and Tiff does a great job. The grain crush is excellent and consistent and they vacuum seal the hops. Highly recommended.

The team at Hauraki know their stuff. I've found them to have a huge range of hops, grains, and yeasts. Meaning it's easy to make all those recipes you find on Beer Smith, without having to reformulate them because you can't find the right hops.
