T.Hobby City Auckland on Lunn ave is great store where you can purchase all your hobby needs the team are amazing super helpful and really friendly, they offer a wide selection of rc cars boats and planes and so much more I would recommend that you check them out.
C.What an excellent experience with these guys….. from ease of online purchase through to receiving my purchase within 2 days from NZ to country NSW Australia I was amazed.
I will be buying any further parts and accessories through these guys from now just because of their high level of customer service.

Friendly staff that knows what it's talking about.I highly recommend this shop if you are looking for RC Cars/Planes and model trains or paints.
M.Purchased a Traxxas Xmaxx as a Xmas present. The first servo stripped after a few hours use, BUT Adam was a great help. Listened to our concerns and very quickly repaired the servo with upgraded gears for a very reasonable price. Any cowboy can sell rc gear, but these guys will be there to help you out when things go wrong - and they know what they're talking about. Thanks heaps, we'll be back!

To take someone’s word at face value now days is literally unheard of, and this is what you have done, which has greatly impressed me.
Absolutely great service, and this is why I shop at Hobby City.
M.I purchased a new rc plane online. Large box shipped to Christchurch. Shipping was quick and goods arrived safely. Prices are good (keeping in mind all the factors against New Zealand retailers vs overseas suppliers). Will happily purchase again. I just have one big complaint! There's no store in Christchurch! Sort it out guys 😀

G.Good selection and service. However, nnoying that Google, their own website AND sign outside shop in Akl all say 6pm close during week. This is wrong - causing me a wasted journey yesterday. Please update everything to reflect your actual hours.

S.Great model shop hidden away behind other factories. Love all the cool car models in here and remote controlled cars. Like the Metal Earth model's and the vintage car miniatures in here great model kits. Staff are freindly and willing to help you with your intrests.
J.I am a model railway modeller and in the years that I have been dealing with hobby City I have had no problems whatsoever, the service is always with a smile, and their range of railway stock and rails and background scenery is second to none. Hearty thanks and I will continue to deal with them. Once again thanks heartily.

G.I am of the strong belief that people who work here are no model enthusiasts at all. They may offer a decent range of modelling supplies but I highly you recommend do your hobby questions and homework online rather than ask the staff here....I've been recommended modelling tools that don't suit the job. Let me give you an example:
Me: Called to ask if they sell large cans of spray paint.
Store rep (SR): we only sell 100G cans of Tamiya paint....and Testors
Me: I recall you guys stock larger sized cans near your counter
SR: Let me check, yes but those are primers and they come in 400G
Me: Are you saying the primers are not spray paint?
SR: Let me put you on hold and check. Yes they are paint but because they're primers they are very flat
Me: ...... (facepalm)uh yeah I realize paints come in gloss and matte but this wasn't the topic I was calling about
Now I realize hobby shops and hobby models are niche, and probably those who are willing to spend $ on such products don't work in a hobby store but seriously models generally not cheap and are a hobby expenditure. We hobbyists obviously care about the details so please actually hire/train staff who actually knows the products.
A.Great place to shop in store and online. Delivery and service is great. Orders arrive within 2_3working days
R.Amazing service, I ordered a product online after a locally hobby store advertised (but didn't have it after i placed my order). Was shipped from NZ to Brisbane, Australia and I had it in my hand the next morning at 10:03 am (and ordered it the day before at 10:55am). Awesome, will definately be back and recommend
R.Lots of very cool stuff as soon as you walk in the door you will see very large remote control air craft hanging from the ceiling and be spoiled for choise with a bit of everything models/ trans /planes /rc vehicles /slot cars /fpv gear /and all the parts and asesorys to keep it all going
S.I have spent heaps here building train layouts. The reason I never go anywhere else is because; they are knowledgeable and passionate about what they sell, they are open and flexible with returns, they have a buyer loyalty scheme and because they have afterpay which works for me as a payment option. Their prices are often a little higher than online sellers elsewhere in NZ but that’s an extra I am ok with as they have fixed $5.00 shipping and free if you spend over $50.00

R.First trip here was good. The guy was full of knowledge. We had to go to him at the counter but he was friendly and helpful. We purchased a track but had an issue with it which took them over a month and zero communication to fix. If my husband hadn't rung them constantly we would still be waiting for it to be returned. This was really disappointing. Great range of things though just hope you don't need to have a repair

A.If you're into the modelling hobbies whether it be trains, planes or automobiles then this should be your first port of call. They are stocked with all the paints and supplies and tools to help you make the modelling job easy and they have a full range of parts available when the inevitable breakage hapoens. The staff are welcoming, most helpful and very knowledgeable.
