I’ll be honest, I probably go here at least once a week. 3 times out of 5 (hence the rating) it’s completely hassle free and a positive experience. But every now and then I have an incredibly frustrating experience and it’s finally pushed me to review. Sometimes the staff are incredibly rude, completely ignoring me for minutes at a time and often on their phones. The phone thing wouldn’t bother me if they were quiet, but when I’ve just walked through the door and it takes them 5 minutes to even look up from their phones despite me having made noise it’s incredibly frustrating!! Today, I waited 3 minutes to be served, and I took my reusable bubble tea cup in. Previously this has not been an issue. Today, the lady took the cup from me and then proceeded to take more than 10 minutes to get the drink to me… not in my cup??? So I asked her where my cup was and she looked very confused. Eventually I had to tell her SHE took the cup from my hand and she went and got it from the back. Why was it not used? Was it a flaw in communication?There should be an option on their system that says reusable cup so that this mistake isn’t made again, as that defeats the whole point of selling reusable cups anyway. I also think there should be a way to get loyalty points through Uber eats etc as I think that’s rubbish that you can’t. Overall, it’s usually really good. I totally rate every tea flavour I’ve tried (the chocolate slushy is my fav!), the best pearls I’ve had, and it’s reasonably priced all things considered but man the service is so often poor!

Updated review: I did not even remember giving Hulucat two stars, but I’m giving Hulucat today 5 stars. The tea! The tea! The tea! The tea is wonderful. The best tea I ever had in my whole entire bubble tea journey in Auckland. The service was great. Contactless. Love the app. On time. Instructions were followed correctly. The pearls were slightly hard but still chewy, however it still deserves a 5 star rating. Note: Considering I have given 5 star rating to shops that doesn’t even deserve it, I’m giving Hulucat the 5 stars. However if it wasn’t for these shops, I probably would’ve been a bit more harsher. However the Tea! The tea! The tea! I’m in love. The aftertaste the aftertaste! The aftertaste😋🥰…this is so emotional lol 😭 😭 🥺🥺. Thank you Hulucat! Definitely will come back to Hulucat. Hulucat has been well represented by Rosedale!

Great service - very patient and well-tempered! I ordered many times and the price is fair ! Coming from someone who is picky with boba tea and beverage choices, this particular branch (rosedale) is my go-to choice, even after adding extra pearls/boba/tapioca pearls, the price can still be cheaper than GongCha and other places, choose wisely people! ♥️

Located near Tai Ping, this store is open till late 10pm. Staff are Chinese, and they have moderate service. Drinks start at $6 and toppings are $1 each. Quality is good and speed is fast. I visited this store during the late night and it was full of the nightlife atmosphere. Would Recommend if you enjoy milk tea or similar beverages

Good quality and flavour of bubble tea! $6-7 teas, toppings an additional $1. I appreciate the options to customise your sugar level, ice, etc. Stylish space but not very big so not as friendly to larger groups. Quick and polite service.

Hulu cat has the best Milk Tea I've had in Auckland. Well priced, quick service and all the taste. With a wide selection of flavours to choose from, it's become my go to for milk tea

Tasted good, lots of options to choose from. Service however could be better, hard to understand cashier. Bubbles are nice and big and chewy. It is not too sweet and the jellys avavliable are diverse and tasty. The place itself and the drinks are also my aesthetic right now. Nice quiet upscale place to sit and relax and drink bubble tea. Would recommend is definitely worth a try.

used to be the only place on rosedale, but there are so many other options now. I would like to see this place offer unique drinks. Staff was generally nice, with negligent service now and then (but nothing to be upset over)

i love what they’re selling. i am an avid fan of milk tea and i can say they are serving a yum milk tea. HOWEVER, i have to caps the word, as their customer service is a nightmare. i didn’t hear what the lady said, asked her to repeat it then she rolled her eyes on me. so annoying! I deserve to be treated well as i am paying the same amount as the others. I always value customer service and i believe their customer service sucks. I went back last time and i was serve with the guy, i guess that was the owner, and i feel i was treated well.

My first experience with the HuluCat Tea House was amazing. The decoration of the place is very stylish and modern, especially compared to other places selling milk tea. Coming here they do not serve any food, but this is a personal preference because they can now focus on the tea and do an amazing job. The price of the teas are a but more expensive than you can find at other places, but they do give you more product for this price, they have a better range than other places and can assure great taste and quality woth anything you order. I'm very excited to try the toppings and flavours unique to HuluCat Tea House 🌸

Love this place for the quick service and big range of drinks. My favourites are mocha slushy with coffee jelly and almond milk tea with lychee jelly. TIP The drinks tend to be on the very sweet side, even with no added sugar, it's still sweet.

This store os always busy and it's easy to see why. Fast efficent service and great bubble tea. Can be a little daunting if you dont know the ordering style of bubble tea places but once you get the hang of it hulu cat will be a regular on your to do list.

The drinks are made with care to order. Many great choices friendly staff easy to read menus. They have a website and an app that you can pre order so it's ready when you get there. Great place to go to have a refreshing drink and relax. The setting areas are trendy and comfortable. Overall a fun experience.

First time here, so I tried the original and it was exactly what I wanted. Clean decor, great taste and not at all artificial. Full sweetness is the way I like it but you're welcome to customize to your liking.

A very good concept but not well maintained They got bean bags which is generally pretty cool to have but it's saggy and dirty, a little bit if a put off. At half sugar, it is still sweeter than my preference.
