Good selection of ladies clothing and accessories. Great layout. Spacious areas. Saw a wheelchair bound person moving around easily. There are all the usual departments that you find at other farmers stores. What irks me is the lack of staff asking if you need help or assistance. This happened on my last mid year visit. I was looking for something in particular, staff would repeatedly walk past me, put stock back on shelves but never once asked if I needed help. Department stores traditionally exist with great or impeccable customer services. This is a big part of repeat business. PR is a must. It doesn't take much to install in front line staff to learn how to greet, check in on and say goodbye. Thank you

5 stars for customer service! I'm very grateful to the staff in the upstairs/children's deparment, who looked after me when I started power chucking at the check out desk! Thank you for your compassion, quick thinking and kind attitudes. :)

Love coming here, it's spacious, has a good variety of shops and most are very friendly staffed. I am disabled and HV been occasionally frustrated with a few being so full that can't go in which is a real pain. Not the norm tho.

Hi well deserved 5 star right from the minute I walked into farmers at riccarton fabulous staff to the guy that talk to me first and gave me a great deal to the lady that arrange free delivery and back they guy up when said it would be delivered before Christmas I only had to wait week and half before it was delivery by Mainfreight which there Service was excellent as well placed inside as I couldn't be there. and took all rubbish away The Service from start to finish was excellent thanks so much karen Carter ps I'm sorry I didn't know staffs names just keep doing what u all doing made my life so much better merry Christmas

Large store, selling furniture, clothing, kitchenware plus much more. It's one the biggest in Canterbury so usually one of the busiest. Still most times plenty of parking.

A very large Farmers store. Very clean and tidy and the staff are most welcoming. Despite the fact that the big Boxing Day sale was on, the store looked rather sparse of customers, so much so that it made my shopping experience here feel very relaxing.

Its a good place, there's not much to say considering its farmers, I've seen reviews of different farmers department stores in the past having horrid customer service but not for me personally, we weren't really approached all that much, but in my opinion I like that, I have an anxiety disorder, so I dont want people on my tail all the time, so it was nice to be left to my own devices

Absolutely amazing service in 2 departments this morning, one being Beverley in children's wear, where she went out of her way to help us, and the other being Taylor? In Jewellery, who also was very friendly and helpful. Pity this wonderful service isn't available in all department stores.

Love this store. I buy most of my clothes there. The prices are reasonable on sale too. MAC cosmetics which is owned by Farmers has its own store in Riccarton Mall now. The girl that helped me there was so friendly, and went out of her way to be helpful. There are very good bed linen, electrical, china, kitchen, and cosmetic departments in Farmers as well. Everything you need in one store.

Best Farmers in the South Island. There is a man in the fragrance department who is always willing to help. Great with scent suggestions and will give great makeup advice too.

After speaking with a customer service person only 24 before going in store, she remembered me from the phone call and was extremely helpful in helping me pick out if fragrance that would be perfect for me. The person who served me is definitely one of the best at Farmers Riccarton and I feel that she deserves a decent Christmas bonus for all the hard work effort and just general perfect customer service. Will definitely be going back there again for further fragrance purchases and clothes. Now it's Seaford changed it

It’s in Westfield Riccarton. Good quality dresses for reasonable price for middle class families. The problem is we can not have dresses to fit for every culture and there is only a few collection and colours. You also can buy electric items and necessary good for home. Good staff and customer service.

There's a bit of everything for a particular taste. I find practical things at a convenient price. The women's underwear section has a wide variety of sizes, brands and designs. Not so much in the men's department. The toys dpmt is crowded.

I was very happy yesterday with my shopping at farmers. AWESOME customer service was given by Lyn, Angela and Yulia in the beauty section. they explained me very well about the products that I wasnt too sure about. A big thank you to three of these beautiful looking ladies. I was very happy with their service.

Such a fabulous store they have everything you could want the kids clothes are gorgeous and reasonably priced, as are the toys and there always seems to be a sale or two. The perfumes and cosmetic brand chanel and dior are really reasonably priced and fabulous! That's my boujee side coming out!! Farmers is an institution and it has withstood the test of time by changing with the times.

Did thorough research and went in to buy our washing machine on Boxing Day. Had fantastic priority service from Nick (store management?) and was more than happy to take the floor model. We got it home to find that in setup we couldn't use it! So we got in contact. Working in retail myself I knew our options probably weren't great and Samsung repair services or something were probably away for the holidays but as soon as Nick was available he chased up with us and HELPED US PERSONALLY AT HOME. It was all fixed, up and running with the only washing machine we wanted (didn't want a refund, replacement or upgrade) so left us with the best outcome. I'd rate higher than 5 stars if I could for the above and beyond honest service that we got from Nick. (We also brought our Samsung fridge from here earlier in the year, it works great and the service was good then too)

Everything you need is St Farmers & Riccarton is the best one. Good deals, however the staff aren't that knowledgeable on all the beauty products when I asked a few questions so you need to know what you are looking for really.

Their Women's Clothes selection is not as good as it used to be. The variety of clothing appears very frumpy and mumsy over the last 9-12 months.

If you're looking for elegance, professional suites, this is the place to be. I found it expensive as i was on a budget. Otherwise, a got to shop for casual, professional, romantic, etc outfits

Can usually find what I need most time and they have a sale every other week with 50-70% kitchen items or like. Wait for the sale to be advertised and save heaps, because they do liquidate stock like a proper business should. Having said that, If you want an electronic device like say, an electronic thermometer AliExpress would be a quarter to a sixth of the price.
