K.Got what I wanted but the owner today being Christmas eve was rude and arrogant infront all staff to a regular customer being myself. Things could have been said in a more professional manner to a customer ! I think his name was Brian or Brendan. Not polished at all !! Next time mate, think before you speak to a customer like that !! I was happy to come there and buy what I needed instead of going to Noel Leeming but your behaviour really spoilt the Christmas spirit with which I came to the store. Walked out really disgusted with your tone of voice!!

P.A wide selection of furniture, lounge suites, dining tables, outdoor tables and chairs. The Electrical section is also well equipped with IT equipment, home appliances, TVs, laptops, stereos and home theatre sets. Staff are very approachable and friendly. Richard the manager is very helpful and makes our purchase very quick and smooth. The holding time is very generous with only 10% deposit required. The warehouses for Electrical and furniture are separate but nearby in Sydenham.

P.Ordered items for collection and didn't hear from them for 6 days until I contacted them. They were immediately on to it, had everything ready and threw in a set of knives for the delay so great outcome in the end.
B.Pretty decent deals over the long weekend, 60 months interest free with a GEM visa. As always lots of staff lurking around looking for a bit of commission, but they are there to help I guess. Sometimes I would like to just browse without being asked every 2mins if I needed any help. Tidy bright store with plenty of parking.

The one star taken off is because Harvey Norman Chch didn't have a big display of gas hobs which was a bit disappointing - it's always good to see what you are buying first as the images online are not always the reality.
N.Harvey Norman is probably our initial go-to for most of our household purchases. Their staff are friendly and happy to help and their price-matching is excellent, even after the sale has been made!

D.Today is not a good day to shop there. I was there 15 minutes after opening time. There was not many sales staff. I heard a potential customer ask why the service was so slow. The senior staff member said that most of the staff had phoned in sick. So stay away for today if you want service.

z.Harvey Norman store, its their big main store I guess. Plenty of staff mincing around when I went in, staff offered help but didn't really know too much about the products. OK prices
G.Wow super service! I had an issue with our appliance that the manufacture seamed very uninterested in remedying. Kylie from Harvey Norman customer support team phoned to see how I got on with the manufacturer and after I explained, she got on to them and a new appliance was delivered and installed. WOW it was fantastic to see Harvey Norman more concerned than the household name manufacture we had been dealing with!

S.I wouldn’t normally write a review but I honestly was blown away but the level of customer service I received in this store.
My partner and I went here yesterday to look at a new couch and were helped by Nick in furniture, honestly it was so refreshing to have a sales person not feel like they were ‘selling’ he has natural people skills and has so much knowledge on all the products that you find yourself wanting to buy from him. Our new couch now arrives in 3 weeks and we are so excited.
Then off to bedding we went and were immediately welcomed by Vivi who, again really knew her stuff on all the beds we were looking at, huge credit to her also as I am very indecisive but she was so patient and great at explaining the differences between each bed. We have to do some measurements at home and then we will be back to get a bed from her.
And lastly off to electrical we went just to look at a sound bar and we were looked after by Kerry, he really knew his stuff, he took the time to show us how each sound bar differed and gave us his opinion of the best one which we ended up getting, it’s so incredible and we are both kicking ourselves we didn’t get it months ago when we first started saying we needed one.
There is nothing worse than going in to store these days and being left to awkwardly try work things out for yourself but we both left the store feeing like valued customers.

K.Staff were enthusiastic and helpful during our trip to pick up an ice cream maker last week. However due to the Harvey Norman hierarchy deciding not to repay the NZ covid wage subsidy we will no longer shop at Harvey Norman outlets.
D.We were in the shop for around 3 hours were helpful and knowledgeable staff gave us all the information and advice on what to buy..
F.Good deals and has a plethora of options. Only problem is MOST staff aren't entertaining. In some shops they will flock to ask u if they can help u with something, just same level as in Noel Leeming, you have to look for one yourself.
j.Having recently moved to Christchurch, I had reason to visit Harvey Norman on a number of occasions to purchase bedding, furniture, TV and laptop.
Without question , the service I received from the individual sales people was quite exceptional....and I wasn't the easiest customer with changing my mind on a few occasions.
However, I would most especially like to mention Regan in electrical and from whom I purchased my television - he was outstanding in the service he provided and the time and effort he put into assisting me in purchasing a great TV.....also Sid, who was so knowledgeable in computers....and the delightful team in furniture, including Debbie and Gita.

N.Staff aren't pushy to make a sale like at other Harvey Norman stores. Staff are approachable, they ask if they can help and answer any questions you have then leave you to make your decision. As a result I usually purchase my larger household furniture from here
A.Fantastic five star service! Our kettle started leaking horribly on a Saturday night during the Covid-19 lockdown. On Sunday morning we ordered a kettle online for delivery and it was delivered only a couple of hours later. Amazing! We're also very happy with the new kettle and the affordable price.

B.I simply cannot speak highly enough of Harvey Norman. My 3 1/2 year old TV packed up. It was out of warranty and I didn't buy an extended warranty at the time. They organised a service agent to come and collect then fix it - no questions asked. The service techs couldn't get spare parts for it any more. Harvey Norman fully refunded the original purchase price again no questions. I got a replacement tv from them which was bigger and better than what I had and still has $500 left. Such amazing service. I don't expect that level of service these days so they went above and being. Honestly, don't go anywhere else. Thanks Harvey Norman
B.I just wanted to say how marvellous Harvey Norman’s service is. I had fibre installed and spent 4 days with the installation company and product manufacturers sites before turning to the Moorhouse store for help ( I bought my modem there). They were incredible! They spent time in the store helping me, and then came out to my home to fix and enable the internet to work. Total trust in buying products from Harvey Norman now. Thanks to tech at and Jason Barnes....brilliant service!

C.Overall, we've had a good experience with Harvey Norman on Moorhouse Ave. Most of the frontline staff provide consistently good customer service and the products this store carries are usually good quality. Unfortunately, we have had a terrible experience with one of the delivery vendors they use called Trengrove Transport. This vendor damaged a door in our home while installing the washer/dryer and the vendor manager rudely told us we can install the washer/dryer ourselves if we don't want their workers tracking in water/dirt from outside. If we could install the washer/dryer ourselves, we would not have paid an additional fee for the vendor to do it.
We've talked with both the manager at Harvey Norman as well as the delivery vendor manager and it seems unlikely that anything will change. Going forward, we will NOT be working with Trengrove Transport as they have disrespected us and our home. Word of caution - Choose the delivery vendor wisely!

The shop is decent sized with wide range of products.
However, anytime you go to Harvey Norman, they try to make you choose the extended warranty. And they are pretty insistent. I guess the staff gets a good commission.
Also they say there is this sale going and it is going to end soon and you gotta buy this now etc. But do not be fooled by that, as every time I went it was the same. At first I thought, how lucky I was to come at this time, that too unknowingly. Then I realised, there is no such thing. Foolish me!

S.Waited a good five minutes for service staff once we had chosen two appliances to purchase. One young man was available but made a beeline for his mates for a long chat and we had to go to the service desk to ask for help. Once we were served we were well looked after.
F.Was in the Moorhouse Ave Branch's Electronics department and had the most helpful salesman (Ben). Has to be one of the best sales people I have ever dealt with. He knew what he was talking about, asked all the right questions and wasn't just trying to sell me the dearest machine but the one that most suited our needs and lifestyle. The 5 star rating from me was really because of this guy!
J.Nathan from electrical was our salesman. He was great. Gave us good information and several options, so that we could do what we wanted within our budget. Helpful and friendly without being pushy. We came away feeling like we had a great deal. Would highly recommend that you seek this guy out. We certainly will be looking for him once they are back in the main store.

H.We ordered a few things from here to furnish our house. Great deals on interest free periods so takes the pressure of paying and also cashed in on some aipoints promotion as well. We dealt with couple of salesmen from a couple of different departments but remember Chris he was very helpful and after the sale kept in contact with the back order and how far away it was. Initially we organised 1 delivery so only 1 delivery charge fee but because of back order we needed two deliveries, instead f charging us twice they only billed us once as back order was out of our control. So all in all a great experience with great service and some nice products to suit mosts peoples taste to decorate and furnish a full house.

L.Great variety of furniture, appliances and brands and for retail probably the most frequently discounted to decent prices. Staff can be cool and indifferent and a little hard to locate but overall not bad, fairly knowledgeable and not pushy.
T.Nearly always the best price on whiteware and appliances. Staff are helpful once you can find someone! Generally good on communicating when things are in stock and ready for collection etc.

M.I would just like to comment on the brilliant service provided from one of your staff - Arava, in the photo processing section of your business.
I have visited a number of times and have found her to be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, helpful and very time efficient.
She is quick to identify those who require extra tuition on the kiosks and have witnessed her guiding through those who may not be so tech savvy in a way that gives them the confidence to come back and do it themselves.

D.I recently purchased a heater from HN and had a couple of problems with it. Logan W. (50) who sold it to me was very helpful and considerate with everything.
I purchased the display heater as that is the 1 I wanted and as HN was no longer selling them, I purchased for 1/2 price, I was wrapped! Unfortunately ran into hiccups which Logan W. continually tried to help with. The problem couldn't be fixed so HN arranged for a brand new 1 to replace it even though they now longer stocked that heater 10 out of 10 Harvey Norman 🤗👍 excellent service!!!
