A very interesting shop. All sorts of stuff from buttons to paint and balsa wood and etc etc. If you are looking for something, anything really, it would be a good idea to check this place out. There is drive in car parking off the street which is good.

A treasure trove of goods. Especially liked the batik fabric and choice of thousands of buttons. Something for everyone here tools, dress up, party stuff, foam, storage containers, and anything else you can think of.

Such a fun, quirky shop. We visit every time we go to Christchurch. I check out costumes and props while my husband looks at tools. A good range of fabric and craft materials too. And the staff look like they love their jobs.

These guys are fantastic! They have a great range of art supplies and so many other things all at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and helpful. I can't recommend it highly enough!

It's literally everything I need. As a cosplayer and artist I really needed a place like this. It's like a dollar store for craft supplies, all the supplies I could ever need for making art is right there. They even have hardware supplies, from chains and wheels to screwdrivers and dowels. The staff are all quite nice, and conversation is always good with those working the fabric desk. For anyone working on a creative project of any kind I would absolutely recommend going to Tom's Emporium.

If you've got time to nosey around Tom's has excellent products at small prices 2yrs on I still love his place get lost in creative while I'm there. Even if my basket is small I go home with great ideas & know where to get the extras at a gd price. We found him because of his mate in Wellington!! Love looking at his buttons.

Cool little craft shop that kinda covers the basis, wheels and bolts and chain up front, canvas and paints in the middle and fabric store out the back. you will find all sorts here and it really is an asset to the crafty community here in Christchurch.

I was recently introduced to Tom's Emporium, and I've only had the opportunity for a couple of 10 minute browsings. But I love what I see and will be going back whenever I can.

Tom's Emporium had changed my life for the better. I can't believe I'd not heard of toms until earlier this year. I've been back dozens of times since and can't fault them! They have the most incredible range of products including party decorations and planning, cake making and decorating, costumes, floristry stuff, pet items, games and toys, arts and crafts, stationery, homewares, personal items, tools, hardware items, paint, tons of wheels and casters and nuts and bolts and all other handy things, and then there's the haberdashery department... Everything you can imagine is there - fabrics, buttons.... A whole Wall of buttons! Ribbons, lace, elastic, zips, other fastenings etc, cotton, velcro, patches, chords, feathers, gorgeous wee models of things, wool, felt.... and the list goes on and on! The staff are wonderful and always so happy and helpful. I recommend everyone should visit Tom's at least once!
