It's like stepping back in time. So many dvds to choose from! Looking forward to taking my son here! Hes 18 but still remembers the times we used to frequent our local store. Very happy to have found this store., I've already taken a work colleague here and she was stoked about it too. Long may you be in business!!!

Very cute bookshop with art space and large classic collections. It feels retro and vintage and I love it.

I have never met a person with more knowledge of movies, directors or the art of cinema than owner Richard Swainson. This amazing business is a true jewel in Hamilton's crown. With a MASSIVE selection of films on DVD, extensive cinematic works compiled alphabetically by noted directors, rare and hard to find films, and an ever growing Blu-Ray collection, Auteur House is THE place to go for true lovers of movies from all over the world!! Coupled with amazing service I've got to give it two thumbs, way up!!

If you want to go old school and borrow DVD movies, this is the place to go, especially older vintage movies. The owner is extremely knowledgeable on all things movies. Just be aware that to get the store, you need to be able to climb a flight of stairs. :)
