R.Facilitated the repair of my carpet cleaner that had just run out of warranty for no cost. Very eager to help, unlike the man who I spoke to at the Te Rapa store where the cleaner was actually purchased.
M.I was just going to buy a simple filter for my old vacuum and ended up buying a new one by trading in the old one and also got a hand vacuum one which was at a good sale tag. Staff is friend and knowledgeable about the products and warranties. As an specialized store, it gives us more confidence in their suggestions and opinions about all their inventory. Got a Hoover smart vacuum cleaner and hopes it last at least 5 years for the price I paid.

A.Today my day was made when I went into the Godfreys in Tristram street!
My vacuum hadn’t been working properly so I took it in expecting to have to pay a large amount for a service.
I was pleasantly surprised when the staff member took to my needs straight away and started dealing to my vacuum. He gave it a thorough clean and fixed the problems within 10 minutes. I was happy to pay for his help but didn’t charge me.
He also gave me information about how to care for my vacuum properly that I wasn’t aware of!
I could not recommend Godfreys and their helpful staff enough!

Bought our upright Hoover Vaccum from this store over 2 years ago.
The original service was great, we have pets and needed a vaccum that would suit this purpose. The vaccum we were advised was perfect and the amount of pet hair/dust it picked up was way better than any dyson or other vacuum we'd had.
However it had developed a few issues over it's very hard life, and just before Covid lockdown the 2 year warranty was coming to an end. They advised me to take it in for repairs and a service under their plan.
Lockdown occurred and 3 months later the now dead vaccum was out of warranty. The store advised on the potential cost but also stated they would try and repair under the original warranty.
Within 2 weeks later, the vaccum had be completely serviced to a fantastic standard and they had gone out of their way to have it all done under warranty.

M.Visited this store last Sunday (on my way home to Taupo from Ak). Purchased a Hoover Action Pets vac, which I have still to use, as it had a faulty foot part. So will review after use. But - the service from this store both at purchase, and organising the uplift of vac for repair and return to me couldn't be faulted. Very happy with service - even if all the sales staff appear to have been to the same sales school as Michael Hill, Pascoes etc lol - (they were selling to someone with extensive national sales management experience!) I do wish Management at stores like this did a bit more research on their sales training techniques. It's embarrassing for staff I would think, (doesn't sound natural & it's 'by rote') and obviously easy for customers to 'pick the patter'!)
edited: I have now used my new Hoover Action Pets vac and I just LOVE it! I have a bad back and COPD, but I can use this vac with ease as it's SO easy to manoeuvre. Light, but does a GREAT job. I have 3 small dogs, all non-shedding, but the odd bits of fur do drop, especially after grooming. This vac works exceptionally well. I do like that it's so easy to change from the carpet to hard floors, and the motorised head (compared to the turbo head I used to have) is SOOO much better! Wouldn't go back to turbo again. The only criticisms I have is the very short cord and the hose does tend to 'kink' at times but I think that may be because I'm not familiar with it yet and it's still a bit stiff being new. All in all, I would certainly recommend this vac as excellent value for money. (& by furkids LOVE the lights when I have the motorised head switched on lol).
