The staff are helpful without being too pushy

P.Good store with plenty of selection. Parking is generally pretty good, especially with the underground carpark, although it can sometimes be hard to find a spare park. Prices are a bit high, but then again, they do allow you to 'do a deal'. Staff generally seem good and willing to help

We did purchase online without the hassle and much quicker (2 business days in fact) than the 2-4 weeks she suggested it would take to arrive from another store. Super happy with the online service but not so much in-store.

S.This was the only furniture store we went to where literally nobody approached us to ask if we needed help. I mean we didn't need it but it was certainly noticable after going through like 5 other stores.
Furniture is amazing though. The price is higher than other places but the options are far more premium.
D.I process all my work photos here. Staff were such a good help when I wasn't sure what I was doing. Now everytime I go there staff are only too willing to answer my questions and alert me to any deals going. Fast same day service. My go to store.

S.Gutted I didnt get to purchase what I went in for due to poor service from the electronics department but I guess they were to busy or uninformative to answer my q's. Wouldn't have hurt to offer to find someone who had the time to help.
J.Experience was SO good, bed and living floor is massive. Tech area is well present with large very specific signs to help you find what you need. Checkout staff were so friendly. I even got a free, 50 photo prints voucher for use with the new photo printing kiosks they are currently promoting. Was sooo worth it! Highly recomend

E.Always get good service, salesman sold me exactly what I required despite the fact that I wanted to buy a more expensive product. As he said the more expensive product wouldn't have worked for my set up and it's no point in him selling that to me only for me to come back to shop complaining that product wouldn't work. Well done.

K.If you require any photography equipment, I highly recommend seeing Barinda in electronics, he is an "Electrical Jedi" unsurpassed knowledge, incredible customer service, phenomenal communication as well as fantastic attitude. I visited other retailers for similar product, but they all fail in comparison to Barinda. I'll be dealing with him from now on, for all my photography equipment, accessories & more. Honestly, he's the "Ip Man" of retail sales

Jacinda said be kind! So I brought an Apple Ipad.As if that wasnt bad enough, the apotheosis of computer newbie to Guru status by purchase of the brand did not happen. There was no instant transformation from dummy to nerd by mere possession of an ipad. After 5 days in limbo due to human error, I returned to Hell, where I met the gouging retail manager for Palmerston North who arrogantly explained in 10 words they only sold hard ware and the consumer was for software installation. The manager should be sacked. Mid morning thursday and Harvey Norman was a morgue! No customers only zombie staff bent on avoiding customer service. I will never buy again from this Department Store, the Palmerston North branch. Do not believe the stars!
C.Big selection of furniture, and plenty of staff available to help you out. Definitely worth checking out the sales, since their non-sale prices can be a bit steep. Also large electrical and appliances departments. Handy parking too.

j.at 50 years of age this is my first ever review, it is prompted by the excellent service i recieved from naiomi, mack and aaron at computer in main st palmerston north. all within the same single purchase that had complicated issues these staff members were very pleasant, accommodating, professional and diplomatic. the unusual issue was brought to a happy resolve by way of professionalisim in customer service, in a nutshell they made a situation that you dread to confront as a customer very smooth and clear to understand. thankyou harvey norman for these staff members, it makes it very welcoming to keep coming back as we have without shopping around.

L.Went in looking for a lounge suite and a bed. Walked out with an order on a bed and going back in for the lounge suite. Craig, in bedding, is a nicely spoken man who was very professional.
A.Prices are on the high end and they don't negotiate anymore. Used to be good for negotiating a fair price, but it seems like management has changed and they are trying to squeeze every last penny out of you.
