Clothing sleeves were an absolute mess. Couldn't be bothered picking through the piles to find the right size or style. I know it's customers who do this but be great if you could keep on top of it. Otherwise no issues, always a good experience.

Brought a speaker there for 70$ Sounds like it's worth 300$ Highly recommend the retro speaker

Huge selection of storage, pet supplies and office equipment alongside lots of clothes. Lacking curtains and rails as could find few ring curtains, one rail and no rings. The elderly aid stuff were good and plain bookcases and tables cheap enough. The price tags though were all over the place and not updated. And not sure of the center till for check out is practical

Found the bank I wanted to visit closed and couldn't find the other items I wanted. This is not normal. Usually have no problems. It is just another shopping mall with much the same shops as any other. Popped back a few days ago. Still pretty much the same, except my bank has reopened.

Sometimes when a shop floor is left messy it's like they don't care. Then you have an issue in the petone store. I know its her job but really an old lady who appears just so lovely checks all dockets with what you brought. It is just basically stuiped.

Kmart is a department store with a variety of products. Ranging from clothing, toys, home decor and beauty products. There is also confectionery and soft drinks. From brands such as pepsi, coca cola, v energy and confectionery items such as cadbury and whitakers. The store is accessible and there is a car park building nearby. Situated inside a modern shopping complex which has a vast array of goods and services to purchase. Kmart outdoes itself with its exceptional customer service and innovative store design. KMart have products that last. Nylon and cotton clothing with an extensive range of jeans. They support the local community. KMart treat their employees fairly. They have comvenient shopping hours. They are a good employer.

Kmart has products with the best price of you are looking for something for home or kitchen or everything. A variety of different types of goods with nice designs. In holiday seasons they have promotions which is good. Very busy in weekends.

Most of your home essentials at a good price and decent quality. Sometimes you may have to wait for checkout during rush but it moves fast. Well managed.

Security guy is super friendly. Store has much better selection than petone. Only problem is they never answer their phone when need to make an enquiry. Have tried 10 times at least and no answer

Everyone loves K Mart! But seriously guys... there has to be a more efficient way to operate your checkouts. The queue that goes around the whole shop not only gets in the way of shoppers, but it turns customers away just looking at it!

I prefer this store it has better variety of clothes and other household items. Customer service can do better but be prepared to look for items yourself without available assistance.

Let's review the actual store and the condition of it... It's messy, disorganised, hard to find what you need. I've gone in three times now and still come out without some of the things I needed, the checkouts are inconveniently in the middle of the store and waiting in line can take forever, plus it's cramped. With a toddler, it's a nightmare. Staff are hard to find to get help and the amount of items just thrown across the floor is annoying especially for me as someone who likes things organised and tidy. Why do people come here and make such a mess? Obviously we all know Kmart has good prices and a lot of different stock but that doesn't take away the mess of this place. It's always stressful coming here especially with kids. Please tidy it up a little. Next time I should take some photos

Very good place, always get less price for all the products compare to other shops. Wide variety and plethora of options to choose from.

Still lots of stock in store and always a buzz to visit. My only gripe.. is the small check out area, given the size of the place i feel it should have more self checking systems available. Apart from that, i love going there🙂

Worker accused my friend of stealing and made her take every item out of her bag and worker took the bag and shook it as she didn’t believe my friend jinny. Jinny is an Asian so I think it’s racist . They also don’t have half the stock they say they do

Kmart is an alladin's cave of affordability and reasonable quality. Overwhelmed by choice? Walk the perimeter from right to left. Pay in the middle. Ha! Bought a stainless thermos for my Dad's morning cappuccino. (NZ$16.00)

Great place, super helpful and friendly staff. If u are after a particular product I do suggest checking the website 1st to avoid disappointment. All in all worthy of definitely 3 stars however they got the 4 as the security guard at the entry door has some amazing people skills and that deserves a HUGE shout out!!

This store has a little bit of everything but for someone to just wanting to dash in, get what they want & dash out.... I found, it can be hard to find what you are looking for. Not being familiar with the layout, I found it difficult to locate the items I desired & then I could not find the counters as they are unusually positioned in the middle of the store. I know many who love Kmart, but I feel this store could also overwhelm some people due to its size. I was lucky to find helpful staff who pointed me in the right direction & I left with the products I needed.

Love shopping here. Great deals on linen. And now they have in-store AfterPay not just click n collect.

As we don't have a kmart in New Plymouth I always enjoy a shop when I can. Great items at great price. Please come to New Plymouth!!!

Kmart offers remarkable good value. They may get a bit low on stock at times but i like the shopping experience. Its nice, bright and clean and although there can be large cues, the cues move very fast so your wait is not long at all. Good stuff

Quite a messy store but it could be the time of year. Think of it as almost everything you want, just not in one place.... Staff were very helpful when it came to finding items that had been misplaced.

Hate the fact abt the layout of the payout lanes, but store products are ok.

The layout at the checkout is stupid. It's impossible to see if a kiosk is free due to the placement of the wall.

A great place to visit. We live in Masterton so K Mart is a bit more special. Big range of items and at great prices. Quality is good. Brought a nice adult size bike. $159 😁 All works well, no issues and happy to recommend them .

Thank you KMart for fabulous discounts for us. Great place for shopping. I also bought a sit stand desk and it works brilliantly. The only problem for me personally was to try to follow the instructions of installing it. This is not an electric one. You have to manually wind it up and down. It costed me $199.00 and it works really well for me.

Every single staff member was nice friendly and helpful even 2 days before Xmas they're awesome thanks heaps!

It's a Kmart, you know exactly what you're getting yourself in for here. Coming up to Christmas the shelves were a bit bare but it's to be expected.

It's a recycled clothes place and you can find good clothing there for cheap price must check it out place good bargain as well

All stocked up and a great shopping experience

Massive shop. Lots of options for everything. Very clean. Relatively tidy considering the number of people that go through it. Only downside is there is always a huge queue at the checkouts & only ever one assistant running between everyone. Will be back though as I am a Kmart lover!

Okay shop. Messy people leave items on floor. Seems a bit disorganized. Have to search for ages to find floor staff to help with queries. That's if you can find one!

K Mart is actually OK. Good variety, sensible prices. Not sure what the working conditions of the people who make the goods are like though. Staff in the store are nonchalant but not to the extreme. K Mart seems to attract 'Karens' in disproportionate numbers. You will find them prowling the aisles particularly in the clothing section so exercise extreme caution and always be ready for emergency beam up.

Call me old school but I'm just not a fan of self checkouts, I'd rather have someone to chat to. Plus when you got too much stuff (like we did) it does not fit on the scales so you have to ask for assistance anyway? Good one stop shop however.

It's great to have a store with great products that don't cost the earth. In recent years they have culled their product range but they still have a good range of quality products. It can be a little hard to find trouses in anything over a 36/95/M but if your patient they will come in. I'd like to see a better range of colours and prints in seamless underwear. I have found some amazing products at Kmart. I luv the marble plates that are currently in stock. Hopefully this will be a standard range for years to come.

Visited around Christmas time, was quite overwhelming and dirty, needed better management.

Kmart has useful cheaper priced stuff but is a frustrating place to shop as it is hard to find a staff member to ask for help. Plus there are way too few checkouts for the number of customers! I have often returned stock to shelf and walked out rather than wait in the long queues!

Great that Kmart is open till midnight for the things you need at night or if you can't get out during the day. Sometimes seems to struggle with stock. But that's the new covid world for you.

Vast selection of women's clothing from modest to reasonably priced. The materials are also of a reasonable quality. Great place to buy wardrobe staples such as short and long sleeved tee shirts.

Signage of departments could bea lot clearer without all the distracting colours. Was looking for menswear, found in the end up against the back wall away from the main clothing area. What are you trying to imply, Kmart? Are men not to be seen buying clothing, because that's how it felt. Actually felt quite discouraged from shopping there in the end.

Good range of stuff you really don't need! They seem to go for quantity over quality, but its pretty reliable when it comes to stocking what you want. Great range of wooden toys for small children that I can't seem to find anywhere else. And all at fantastic prices. Staff are ok, not overly helpful (with the exception of a rare few). Not a huge fan of the self checkout in the centre of the store, but can't see my opinion changing that.

Its hit and miss as to what you may find but its the queues at self checkouts that are so often so long i end up leaving my purchases and just leaving the store

What more do you want... it has everything, and cheaper than everywhere else! The queues (while inconvenient) are a testament to the combination of variety, value and quality of all their products.

I always find the crowded till area painful, largely due to the crowds around each till. Otherwise, it is pretty much like every other Kmart, useful for some things.

Probably my favourite kmart because it is almost completely self scan terminals. This is great for me because it means I don't get questioned when I buy the entire stock of baby dolls.

Well stocked, well priced and open long hours. Don't expect designer stuff here, of course. Self checkout works well, though it feels really weird to pay in the middle of the store, and have to walk through the store with all your purchases loosely in hand on the way out, as if you've just grabbed them off the shelves without paying.

K-mart Porirua is simple to visit as it is part of the mall which makes parking easy and free. This K-mart is nearly as busy as the Petone branch but a bit tidier.

10/10 for all of your house supply needs. Affordable prices, decent enough quality to revamp the room and make it look a lil bit fancy. Great value rugs too, which can be found in other department stores but at triple the price. Overall kmart is a bargain for the quality you get.

Great place to shop a large store with heaps of things to look at. Prices vary but they always have a bargin reasonable priced clothes and household accessories right down to pet toys and stationary. I always visit k mart when I'm in Porirua and always come home with a bag of goodies. They have plenty self checkouts but depending on times you could be in for a little wait to purchase your goodies. I find it sometimes hard to find assistance when I need it because there never seems to be enough staff on the floor which can be a little frustrating. Overall good place to shop good prices.

So clean and tidy compared to Auckland stores, also had what I needed which they didn't have in Auckland

Unfortunately so low in stock right now. Has been like this for months, same online so give up trying to find what I require. Many articles sold out and not restocked. Sign of the times right now but hopefully not too long before stock can be up to date and some great products available as usual.

Open til midnight every day. Something for everyone from home wares to clothing, stationary and much much more. Affordable prices and always plenty of bargains to choose from. Staff always on hand to answer questions and very helpful when asking for directions in-store. Given the size of the store and although the store looks busy the staff will take you to where the product is. 👍

I love the variety and value for money. I hate the self checkouts, especially after a hard day's work, going for some Kmart therapy then having to zap the 10 g-bangers you just bought, along with all the dog clothes, face products and mountainsss of socks.

Nice mart with lot of economical collection but less staff also some of the price checkers not working so you have to move back and forth for price check. Sometimes, you may also find price difference from displayed one and from price checker.

It's K-Mart. Has a wide and varied selection of goods at very reasonable prices. It is what you would expect from any major department store. The 3 star rating is solely based in their checkout system. The checkout is located in the centre of the store, rather than near the exit. So after waiting in line to pay for your goods, you have to navigate your way back through the store, then have all of your bags checked on the way out of the store?! It is an entirely arbitrary system as there is often only one employee standing near the exit. So while you might be one of the unfortunate people to have every item you have just paid for CHECKED according to your receipt - 20 or 30 other shoppers just walk on by. I understand that this might be a necessary measure, however it wouldn't be if the store was laid out in the same fashion that most, if not ALL other stores are laid out.... with the checkouts being the last stop on the way out.

Love the range they have amd good alternative to the Warehouse...at times slightly cheaper..and its good that pretty much all kmart store layouts are the same so its easier to find things between stores.

This is a big shop for clothing, house hold items, toys and many more items in a reasonable price. Everything is in affordable price. Staffs are friendly. I bought some baby clothing and toys, they are not bad. Good quality products according to the price.

Very friendly staff :-) Even with Christmas shoppers. Easily found what I wanted with no hassle. Pretty well stocked too. Can't ask for anymore out of Kmart can we? Thank you to the sir at the door checking receipts, he was so patient :-)

Who doesn't love Kmart!! Everyday items with always low prices it's quite addictive 😂😂 really great selection. Customer service wise ... Probably needs a little more. A smile goes along way although the older man always on the door is absolutely delightful 👌

In the time I was there I was pleased to see it was thriving after many job lost and shops closed. I was pleased to see it was busy,, clean and Tidy.

I guess keep it to myself as it is a secret... with super beautiful girls and very handsome young men (or married men who pretend to be single hahaha! !!!) and the service is outstanding beyond anybody's imaginations and very close to the stars in the universe..

Always like going to Kmart, spend a bit to much money tho 🤣, still wish it had the variety of the Australian Kmart's tho

I honestly really love this Kmart. It is so busy because everyone else loves it too. Admittedly, they don't always keep up with the demands from serving such a high volume of customers but I'm never disappointed when I go there

Kmart has been present at North City since the centre opened, but in recent years has significantly improved both in range and in presentation. Particularly good for setting up home or flat on the cheap, clothes, toys or sports equipment. And the extended opening hours are very handy.

Sometimes I really love here, adorable price range and buch of cool stuffs.

Slightly confused layout, we had no idea why larger women's coats were separate from the main women's section. Fortunately we weren't looking for larger sizes of menswear, as apparently Porirua doesn't have large men. Clearly I'm going to have to lose weight to shop here, or go to the warehouse first.

I love that all kmarts layouts are the same no matter where you go so its super easy to find everything 💕

It's a k mart lol. Pretty handy being in the mall and open 24 hours. My only issue is that they don't keep their makeup stocked! But otherwise it's your standard everyday k mart with all sorts of things available for a reasonable if not downright cheap price !

kmart is the actual best store ever, there's always so much to choose from and another bonus is clearance and discounted or sales stocks. like the variety is intense but, ya know, mega cool and 10/10 would die for

The revamped and new image K mart shop in North City. Mall carries a wide range of goods and it now rivals the Warehouse for range of goods and pricing. A negative is that the check out is a shambles. To get to the checkout you are forced to run the gauntlet of an aisle that takes you on a tiki tour before you get to the cash register. They accept cash but don't encourage it judging by the way its laid out and many of the self check outs don't take cash. Shop is well laid out but could do with better signage

Love kmart. One of my favorite places to shop. I took my son shopping there just before his 9th and we had a blast doing our shopping there. I loved how the staff were more than happy to help me when i needed help. It was great.

Needed something, was in Porirua and knew that Kmart would have it. Sure enough easy to find purchase complete within minutes. Done deal. Go to one store and the rest have the same displays in the same locations. Happy customer.

Great pricing and then a further reduction on the original price just saves you so much. Probably covid related but fewer people stuck in the dreaded checkout cul de sac.

Quick service and nice prices. Could spend hours browsing the Isles. Recommend going in during the week to make the most of the smaller crowds.

K Mart Porirua A large shop that is constantly being changed around and reorganised. Carries a wide range of merchandise at good prices. My only negative is the cashier process. Its slow ( deliberately so in my opinion) and its complicated. This needs to be looked at. Queuing up to pay is not an option for me. Also some of their check out machines do not accept cash. Not a good idea.

I really like it here. Lots to buy, great prices. But there needs to be a husband area or somewhere to sit and take five minutes off your feet as it's a very big place.

Gotbehst I needed, check out sefup and is s nightmare, put the checkout at front of store, its f%&$ing dumb having if in the middle. Kmart stores layout is stupid, half of womens clothing on one side of checkout, half on the other....

Good prices just bought three of my sons new school bag and they where great prices for good quality bags

Big store experience lots of options and sizes. Expected retail. Worth the walk to the end of north city, has cafes on way, and usual mall attributes. Very near motorway south porirua offramp( covers 2nd block, entrances above and below ground both ends)

Everything you don't need and more! Prepare to spend a lot more money than you planned and forget the one thing you came for. Impulse shopper's heaven.

This is for sure a money trap. Good luck walking in and leaving empty handed! I'll cry if this ever leaves Porirua. Much better than the one in the hutt too, it's bigger and less crowded.

The layout (Porirua) seems strange with the self service payment machines in the middle of the store. It is a change though and will take getting used to. In terms of prices, its great for its products.

I have been to Kmart in Lower Hutt not long after it opened, and it was total bedlam!! I went to Kmart Porirua a long, long time ago, and it reminded me of the old Woolworths stores of yesteryear, which I loved as a kid!!!

Have been twice now for items that say they have in stock on line then get in there a 45 minute drive to find out they don't.

Messy place and very understaffed. I would think they have limited hours for labour at this store so I wouldn't blame the team that work there. I will go back there if I cannot get what I want elsewhere

Lots of good deals just outside the city of Wellington. If you are new to the city, it is worth the trip to stock up on homewares. The savings are significant over the brand name stores in the CBD

I went to Porriua Store to buy a particular toy for my niece. It wasn't in the store. They were very helpful. They advise for me to call the Petone store before going over. I did this and was told that there was only 1 available. I asked to hold the toy while I come to store and collect it. I was told the toy will be kept and provided with detail where to collect the toy. I get there, the toy is not there. They called storeroom again and it's not there anymore. Because of Porriua Store they get 3 star otherwise I would have given zero star. Probably for the Petone store to have a better communication channel would have solve this problem.

Not too shabby, some others k marts are a bit untidy stock everywhere etc but porirua isn't too bad. Good prices on sportswear

Comparing to the other branch in Welly, this one is more tidy, multiple varieties and friendly staff. Also being inside a shopping mall, give you the opportunity to shop around other stores.

Well stocked but more often then not the price tags tend to be missing or incorrect. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

I always find what I am looking for, with a wide variety of homeware, clothing, partyware and loads of health and beauty products. I always walk out happier than when I arrived.

It was very busy and the food court was full of customers and some shop shelves were a bit depleted of some items.

Great location and assortment of inventory. A shame the the shopping experience is let down by a lack of teller staff. The payment lines are way to slow.

Heaps of parking and open till midnight most nights of the week. Can sometimes be a little difficult to find if you've never been to north city plaza ask security they're very helpful. If you locate the info desk you can almost see k mart through muffin break.

Visited petone store...was the shambles...lots of staff walking around but not doing much. Visited porirua store...spotless! Very clean and tidy...keep.it up team!
