B.I went in to get my hearing checked especially my tinnitus. The first test there was no change and I was very skeptical. Martin persisted with me and after many tests and changes was able to control my tinnitus to a degree that I wonder how I was able to put up with the ringing in my ears. As a responsible Employer this is an important test for each Employee to undertake and WORKSAFE love us for it. Well done to Hearo for being instrumental in this work safe practice.
C.I recently purchased a pair of Phonak hearing aids from this audiologist and I have to say the event has been life changing. I had no idea about the level of hearing loss that emerged from the testing as it had crept in over a couple of years and I had ,I guess , just been working harder in situations that required careful listening. I was prompted to have the hearing test when conversations began to be difficult to understand because I had mis heard a key word or two.
The testing, advice and assistance with that first hesitant use was so caring and I was able to ask every question that popped up without feeling silly. I have found that I now go into group situations more willingly, am less tense and able to enjoy the sounds around me rather than just the dull versions. The aids are easy to wear and the sound level can be adjusted via my mobile phone which is just perfect in some very loud situations. At 68 I did not expect to be using hearing aids but I am so pleased that I had the hearing test. I really do feel that the Staff at Hearo Te Awamutu have had a huge hand in making this an easy and enjoyable improvement for me. 😊 Thank you
