He pointed us in the right direction, answered all of our questions with patience and expertise, despite walking in close to closing time. I would highly recommend this store!

N.Didn't show up when I looked up outdoor stores but stumbled across it on the street. Had Led Lenser headlamps which the big chains don't stock which was exactly what I was after! Person who helped me was knowledgeable and helpful with the different options.
A.This morning my wife and I visited your Mercer Street, Wellington store. Our mission was to find a warm coat for my wife prior to a visit to Europe in their winter season.
On entering the store we were greeted by Eugene who came over as very knowledgeable. Eugene was most helpful in showing us several options of coat that were available. However, we decided to have a look at the local competition before making a decision.
We visited the nearby outdoor clothing stores but what impressed us most about Dwights was that we were treated as potential customers and given a helpful level of attention, yet not at all pressured. You may be interested to know that at the other five stores only one other sales assistant noticed our presence. Yes, sometimes it is nice to browse but it is a shame to be "invisible" to staff. To walk out of a store is a potential lost sale.
On returning to Dwights where we bought not only a coat for my wife but one for myself and a possum merino beanie - a total of almost $500.
I would commend Eugene for his advice and suggestions, which he made in a professional yet friendly way and without any of the "mate" language that younger people tend to use to address older customers such as ourselves.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this Dwights store to you.
