Fragrifert in Wellington
Visited on 31/1/2019
After having our coffee at the Cable Top Eatery, we visit the Fragrifert just right next door.
It has a unique Victorian décor and perfume distillery.
My camera does not behave well, and the photos turn up rather poorly.

Such a cool place. Francesco was so helpful and very informative. His perfumes are all AMAZING and very well priced. Love the fact that he uses re-fillable perfume bottles and no animal testing takes place. Hubby gave the angel wall smell test a go and won a free sample 😊 will definitely be purchasing all our future fragrances from Fragrifert

A place I frequent every time I find myself in Wellington. Francesco is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful; his perfumes are delightful and I almost always leave with a new perfume for my growing collection. Highly recommend visiting this hidden gem at the top of the cable car.

Stunning place, excellent service from Francesco and couldn't make up my mind as to what perfume to take!♡♡

He made my girlfriend feel so welcome. Very special place. He was willing to remain open after hours while we were trying to decide which of the wonderful flower scents to settle on. We went for the Rose Coriander🌹☘️ Thanks for allowing us to experience the passion you hold for your craft. Note: watch your girl.

I love the ambience of this shop, specially the decor. The perfumes are beautiful and Francesco, the owner is very welcoming. This place is well worth the visit

Loved this place when I lived in Wellington. Bought a beautiful and unique perfume here too.

A highly original establishment, a blend of a museum, a shop and a labour of love. The proprietor is as passionate as he is eccentric. A real credit to Wellington that deserves to be better known. I found this place even more interesting than the Botanic Gardens.

I was absolutely delighted by this shop. The beautiful layout, the enchanting decor, the gentlemanly, erudite perfumer; it was like stepping out of 21st century Wellington and into a Parisian perfumery during La Belle Époque. And that is to say nothing of the perfumes themselves! A generous but not overwhelming selection of high quality scents were on offer, from flowers to seasons to perfumes for men and women. My young daughter and I had a wonderful time smelling each of the samples, guided by the helpful, earnest, and absolutely lovely owner. On top of everything, the perfumes are affordable, and come in a variety of formats to facilitate gift-giving. I will be coming back..

The scents last for so long. The Perfumier is so lovely and helpful with explaining the scents and the best ways to apply them

Wonderful place
Many kind of fragrants solds here
Check those photos

So lovely! I adore victorian aesthetic (style) and also enjoyed the scents.

My favorite brand of cologne and perfume. The quality is unmatched by many other brands I've tried and the scent lasts so we'll without being overpowering. The shop is fantastic, and Francesco has an infectious passion for his craft without pushy sales you might get at department stores. It's great excuse to take the cable car up or you can order online once you know what you like

A delightful place . Took my granddaughters and the appropriately attired gentleman was very willing to show the joys of perfume .
This will be my go place when looking for special gifts .
Welington's best keep secret at the top of the cable car ride.

Great place to visit, Francesco is great to talk to. Super cool decor and great smelling scents. I thought I’d be hit by a nauseating wave of scents walking in but definitely was not the case. if you have 30 min you can get the full experience of the video, smelling the scents, and his smelling game where you can win a free tester. If you have less time still worth checking out and smelling around. I bought some tiles as a good, cheap and long lasting gift

I would have kicked myself if we hadn't accidentally discovered this hidden gem. The owner is dedicated to his craft and it shows, with the huiles de parfums being of such high quality they lasted most of the day. If you're looking for a cheap and dirty perfume shop, this isn't the place for you.

Lovely place, beautiful perfumes, well worth a visit

The most delightful surprise at the top of the Cable Car. Made a purchase I didn't think I would, and was well worth it "Guilliume" and "Sports Captain".

I loved this place. It is unusual for a shop to be so entertaining - I can't think of one more so than this. i.e. it isn't just a shop where you can buy perfume and aftershave, but it is a really lovely experience as well. There is a great video that introduces the shop and Francesco (the shop owner), and then you can explore the shop and experience all the incredibly variety of scents. Francesco explained to us how it all worked and answered all of our questions and then we could try all the different smells which were broken down into different groups like NZ scents, seasons, male aftershave and ladies perfume. It was all done in a very hygenic way and with little bottles of coffee beans to re-neutralize your smelling between scents which worked great.
There is even a scent/smelling puzzle game to guess what various things are (by smelling them and there is also a clue as to what they are) and if you get a certain number of them correct then you win a small prize (a small bottle of perfume for us).
All of that experience for no cost at all - it is entirely up to you whether you actually buy any products just like a regular shop. If you are heading up the cable-car to the Wellington Botanical Gardens then I thoroughly recommend a visit to this place for half an hour or so.

It's an interesting place and you get to learn some new things. The only thing I wish was that they offered singles in the smallest size. I don't want to buy a big one without properly trying and also don't want to buy three samples for no reason.

Beautiful fragrances that are a bit different. The shop was gorgeous & the man was a bit of a rude tart but that's ok I kind of liked it.Love my new scent.

A class act, thank you we had a great visit then purchased gift vouchers on line. Quick delivery and a beautiful fragrant high standard voucher that I will be very proud to give to friend and family thank you :)

I love this place, it's a travel in time and the perfumes are made in the artisan old fashion style. A must to visit if you are in Wellington.

(Translated) Although it is a historical European perfume culture,
You can meet a real perfumer here in the Southern Hemisphere New Zealand.
The interior of the store, which is decorated with European-style decorations, furniture, and antiques, is calm,
Everything is beautiful, even small items.
A space surrounded by a kind and gentle perfumer and a wonderful scent.
Wellington's recommended place for me.
