Bought from this shop online for the first time. My previous experiences with service quality of NZ online shops have left me disappointed more often than not and I therefore did not have high expectations. But I must say that the customer service of The Homestore online has impressed me. Timely updates on order confirmation, dispatch (even heads up for arrival soon) and delivery status - plus extreme care taken to wrap the item and free shipping above $100. The prices may come across as expensive because of the types of products and brands carried by the store - but the same can be said about most things in NZ (in comparison to, say, Western Europe or US where kitchen stuff are cheaper and have more variety). I am already thinking of what to buy next from The Homestore . . .

Great store for homeware, price on the expensive side, great range and selection, from cooking, baking, to kids cutlery. Awesome place for gift ideas too. Highly recommend.

Bought a couple of small presents (secret Santa) for a work Xmas party. The store has a wide range of products and is reasonably priced too. The staff were friendly, helpful and even wrapped the gifts for me. Highly recommend for any one out doing last minute Xmas/secret Santa shopping!

(Translated) The shop is fairly central on Lambton Quay, but tucked away on the 1st floor of a less frequented passage. Nevertheless, you get a lot of kitchen utensils and household items. The prices are still partly appropriate. However, you have to keep in mind that almost everything in New Zealand is more expensive than in Europe. Less competition and shipping don't make things cheaper. (Original) Das Geschäft ist zwar ziemlich zentral am Lambton Quay, jedoch in der 1. Etage eines wenig frequentierten Passage versteckt. Dennoch bekommt man viele Küchenutensilien und auch Haushaltssachen. Die Preise sind dennoch z.T. angemessen. Man muss allerdings beachten, dass fast alles in Neuseeland teurer als in Europa ist. Weniger Konkurrenz und der Versand machen die Dinge nicht billiger.
