Excellent service, prompt, informative, skilled tradies. Jack and Bill were superb. Polite, funny and a delight. Left the house in a very clean condition and the gas fire being great. I would recommend to anyone. Also Gavin, he wasn't too bad either 😃

A big thank you to Hamish and the team for the professional installation of a wood burner to replace our old gas system. Hamish was a pleasure to have around in my home doing the work. He kept me informed throughout the process and really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with everything. Hamish also kept his work area clean and tidy which was appreciated. I'm thrilled with the end result

There was a wait after ordering the fireplace however once it arrived our builder Gavin and his team were fantastic, installation was done pretty much straight away. Their communication was great and they did an excellent job installing the fireplace. Very tidy workers and the job was completed very quickly and to a really high standard. It's made such a difference to our living room - we love it.

Gavin is my new hero! He came to do a quick pre-install site visit for my new fire and ended up installing a piece of plywood on the roof. This emergency fix was due to the strong Wellie winds blowing a plastic skylight off the roof. I was busily phoning roofing companies to no avail, so will be forever grateful to have someone who was prepared to help at no notice. Credit to Fireplace Studio for employing such customer centric staff. Editing this review - today the Escea DF960 was installed. Again Gavin was a star, hassle free installation for me and he coordinated the other trades and then talked me through how it operates. I fully recommend the team @Wellington Fireplace Studio. Thanks heaps

UPDATED: After a couple of initial issues with contact, all has gone smoothly. As mentioned in original review staff are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Showroom is stunning. We look forward to having our fire installed shortly. Perhaps whoever is watching the Google reviews so closely could manage the customer enquiries 😊

Very impressed with the customer service from the time we made an enquiry through until the completion of the job. Yannick was prompt with his site visit and quotation. Communication was excellent. We had our fireplace removed this week. Gavin and Bill did an excellent job, cleaned up thoughly, were very pleasant and communicated well also.

Thank goodness for Gavin, Croc and team! Our old tired fireplace was one that was never meant to come out.. such a job it was but they were up for the challenge and their experience and true grit to do a good job was evident. Can’t speak highly enough of these guys, super pleasant, awesome communication throughout the job and brilliant co-ordination with the gas fitter/plasterer. The attention to detail was superb! Totally made for a seamless process and we are so pleased with the result!

Marilyn from Wellington Fireplace Studio has been nothing short of amazing. We needed some pellets for our pellet fire and they went out of their way to help us. No other shops or suppliers were able to do the same.

Everything was great from beginning to end. Jason was great helping us work out design options for a tricky install. And Gavin and the team did a fantastic job working around difficult access. Communication throughout was great and the fireplace is excellent!

Wellington Fireplace exceeded our expectations with our gas fireplace replacement. Ours was not a straightforward project as there were a number of complicating factors. However, Dominic approached the task at hand very professionally, managed to find a solution and was able to clearly lay out our options in a way that was both detailed and clear. The installation itself was completed to a very high standard by Gavin who was assisted by Rudy. These guys were true professionals with a great service ethic. We are really happy with the end result.

Gavin went above and beyond whilst having our fire place installed as well as with so many helpful extras. His attention to detail is fantastic and he was great company to have in the house over those few days. Thanks so much team, would highly recommend you!

We installed a new fireplace in our house. Very happy with the service of Gavin and his second man. Good upfront communication about the job (pre-start site visit) and about the timing. Worked very tidy and conscientious. Result looks great. Very happy.

Gavin and the team were awesome. We had a tricky job as our house is old and not always well maintained. They were great and gave sound advice and were fantastic at problem solving. The quote was so clear and detailed. They were able to guide us through the options and the process. The whole team were thoroughly lovely guys. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. We will do more work in the future and we’ll definitely go back to them.

My wife could not be more impressed with the look of our new fireplace. I could not be more impressed with the communication and installation skill from Gavin. I happened to be round the house while they did the install and from our seriously wonky walls, to our tricky additional joinery, Gavin co-ordinated perfectly with the gasfitter and plasterer, while his workmanship on the hidden things you never see once the plaster goes on was exceptional. Considerate, punctual and tidy. Excellent experience.

I had a new fireplace installed at my place in Normandale by "Wellington Fireplace" They provided an excellent service from start to finish, including all consents from council and removal of old fireplace. The installation team led by Gavin did an excellent job and the result is awesome, true professionals. To the extent that Code of Compliance was issued the same day as final inspection. Couldn't be happier with the result and service :-)

Great service from Wellington Fireplace. Their communication was excellent. They did what they said they would when they said they would do it. And that matters! Their quotation was detailed and accurate. On site Gavin and Nick were efficient, helpful and kept me well informed. I would certainly recommend them.

These guys are amazing. Jason and his team did work on our fireplaces post earthquake with chimney removal and reinstatement of the fireplace. They did an absolutely amazing job, I cant recommend them highly enough. Just had them here again today doing the annual clean and inspect and once again a professional thorough job. Hamish has just been back to fix a problem we have been having with the door of our Studio and he was fantastic, he came up with a way to stop the issue and went above and beyond for us to get a solution. Thanks heaps guys.

Excellent service provided by Gavin and the team. It is not completed as of yet - but almost ready to go. Everything done as per request, and extra powder coating to keep the theme of black looks great. Happy to update it once it's up and running! Communication has been great - and was able to use texts / emails to communicate efficiently. Cheers! Update Feb 2020 : due to the environment of the construction, the fireplace required a few additional remedies and fixes, and again Gavin and the team were amazing. Many thanks to the team @ Wellington Fireplace, especially Hamish and Kevin who were top notch. Was kept informed throughout the entire process and was very impressed by the level of professionalism supplied. Job was managed entirely from end to end and was completed within schedule, including the removal of an obsolete masonry chimney that needed to be demolished prior. Very quick turnaround, and loving the new gas fireplace. Great job!

Just had Gavin and Joel install a fireplace for us. Friendly guys who kept me informed during each step of the installation process. Recently dealt with the very friendly, helpful & punctual Gav & Ryan at the Wellington Fireplace Studio when on the hunt for a new BBQ. Very impressed with the whole process start to finish, and the continual updates of how my purchase, order & delivery was progressing. Will definitely use these guys again in the future when the current fireplace at the house needs upgrading with a new one!

Great job done by the WF crew from start to finish in terms of my new gas fireplace. Gavin and Rudi did a really good job of installing the fire and building the brest, and gave some good advice as we went re the height of the fire and the best flue solution. All done in two days. Jason was prompt and professional in terms of guiding us to the best fire option for our lounge and Monika in accounts was efficient in terms of delivering quotes and invoices (and the receipt). All in all a very competent and professional company - very customer focussed.

We needed to move on from a log burner (too much physical effort) - and the Wgtn Frieplace studio gave us the ability to compare all options including gas and pellet burner - which was what we finally went with. The pandemic destroyed the original install date - but as soon as allowed they were on the job. Really happy with not just the pellet fire which is keeping us so cold - but also the professional and friendly service. And they took away the old log burner and hearth. Highly recommended

Hands down the loveliest staff ! Couldn’t have asked for more kind, helpful and professional team to make my fireplace dreams come true. Love all the options and their displays in their showroom, it really helps bring your vision to life! Unfortunately due to COVID19 I wasn’t able to go through with my fireplace but I know as soon as things are back to normal they’ll be my first pick !

Gavin came to install our woodburner yesterday at Tavistock Rd - helped for a few hours by Caleb. They were fantastic. Everything was explained and I was told about why the extra cost was necessary which was great (the information, not the cost!). Clearly technically very able, Gavin also was great at customer service - cleaned up, was sensitive to us being around and was a pleasure to have around. Both of them were. And, I have to say the administrative service has been great too - not to forget the women! Good stuff Janice

I am writing this review in regards to the install of our new Firenzo Forte fire, the installers were Gavin and Nick, these 2 guys are amazing, they were extremely friendly and the work they did was top notch with all attention to detail to make sure everything was square, straight, clean and tidy. Also must say thanks to Dominic for his advice and arranging everything. I have really enjoyed working with the people at Wellington Fireplace. Thanks for everything guys.

Nick and Hamish did our wood burner install and a great job they did too. Very tidy and efficient and nice guys also. We also had to swap the unit for another colour in the end and the staff were very accommodating of this. All in all an excellent experience.

Was really impressed with the showroom and the team at Wellington Fireplace. The showroom has a great selection of fires and the design is awesome and gives you loads of ideas. The people are friendly and helpful and bend over backwards to make sure everything goes to plan. Would recommend you stop off here if you are thinking about a new fire.

Had my fireplace installed a few years ago by Elliot and his crew, after receiving a great deal from Jason. I got them back recently to sweep the chimney when they checked the fireplace, without me asking, and gave me a report on its condition and advice on maintenance. Also a certificate for insurance reasons to show its being maintained.. Great service and good guys to deal with!👍🏾

Have dealt with a lot of tradies over the last year but did not expect to have to replace our entire fireplace (thanks to someone else's shonky work) but Gavin was professional, empathetic and friendly - made the whole experience easy. We had complete confidence the best possible job had been done, Thank you. PS The cats are delighted to have their fireplace back too.

I can't praise Gavin enough for the personal attention he gave us while installing out fireplace. We ran into some challenges due to the old building we live in and Gavin handled it all with skill, ease and a good sense of humour. I had a Pyraclassic Fire installed by WF about a month ago. From my first showroom visit to their follow up visit to replace a scratched panel these guys were good. They did what they said they would when they said they would always keeping me informed. The installers Gavin and Hamish were pleasant, efficient and cleaned up thoroughly at the end. I would happily use them again

We love our beautiful log effect gas fire. As we live in a 100yr old villa nothing is plum (walls or floor). Gavin did a fantastic job to build a false chimney breast and install the new fire and granite hearth. It has added value to our house and made a huge difference making the lounge warm and cosy. Gavin kept us informed all the way and gave us good advise. Everything was left clean and tidy. Highly recommend.

We were well guided through the process of choosing a new Escea Fireplace, with a thorough assessment at home ...of the space, removal of the old fireplace and the chimney suitability to the model that we were interested in. Within 2-3 weeks Elliot seamlessly removed our old fire, installed the new model...coordinated the gas fitter and electrician and helped me to add an app to my phone so I can even turn on the fire before getting home. The team respected my home environment and were great at the clean up process. Elliot also followed up a couple of times to ensure there were no outstanding issues. Escea based in Dunedin were also VERY helpful with extra questions I had. A very good experience with Wellington Fireplace, would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic service. Nice and early to chimney sweep appointment. Great dialogue with the guys and they cleaned up nicely afterwards. On top of that they polished the fireplace frontage and flu inside underneath the ceiling.

I had asked Wellington Fireplace to come and quote for a replacement gas fireplace to replace the existing fireplace based on the incorrect advice from another outfit (Turfrey...DONT EVER USE THEM) who had said my existing unit was unrepairable and needed to be replaced. Jason from Wellington Fireplace came out to quote for a new one, and instead fixed the existing one in about 10 minutes (at no charge) making the folks from Turfrey look like fools. Jason (and I therefore assume the other folks working at Wellington Fireplace) is an honest and trustworthy guy, and I would highly recommend them to anybody. Great service, and utterly competent.

I visited the Wgtn Fireplace in Pickering Street, Kaiwharawhara and saw the most amazing showroom and selected a the Gazco Studio 3 fire that was perfect for my newly renovated home. The team did the entire job, project managed it for me, which took alot of the issues out of organising a builder and needing to arrange the other trades...they did it all! I found the Wgtn Fireplace team to be completely professional, kept me informed along the way and Id highly recommend them to anyone needing heating solutions for inside your home, or outside.

Having gone up on my roof to clean my gutters I was very pleased to see the "extra mile" that Daniel and Nick had done when installing our log fire and flue. Not only had the finished job looked good but for 3m either side of the installation all the 'popped up' ridge cap screw/nails had been replaced. Thank you for that it will save me getting a roofer in for a while. One of my friends is keen to know how the Eco Flue Kit draws air in from the roof space. I remember seeing one but cannot find the brochure amongst our paraphernalia, could you Email me leaflet? This is the second year we have had Hamish to clean our flue. He was punctual, had a thorough knowledge of what was to be done and did a very clean job. It is reassuring to know that our flue has been serviced by an expert.

His excellent work deserves recognition .He was knowledgeable and painstaking about doing the job well and followed up promptly to ensure the work was completed. He was assisted ably by Mr Goodhue who arranged appointments.

Fantastic job done by Gavin and the rest of the crew. It took a while from first proposal to completion; but as they say ' good things take time'. I'll certainly be asking for Gavin for our next project.

We really like our new fireplace, expertly installed by Gavin. One thing to watch is the non-fixed installation costs - they can add up to significantly more than expected!

Highly recommend this company.We had a Ravelli pellet burner installed and were very happy with the friendly professional service.The install was delayed due to the lockdown but the guys really made an effort to get it installed asap after the alert level changed.
