Coffee shop in Whitcoulls Lambton Quay is an added bonus. Wonder how many people don't even know its there.

r.Easy to look at everything, not too crowded, lego is always nice to look at. Some of the lego was like right next to a till so I couldn't get a good browse of it when they need to serve someone but yeah nice place, great for birthday cards and books

R.Thankful to find The Annex tucked away upstairs at Whitcoulls on Lambton Quay on a busy Boxing Day. A fairly cosy place to pass away some time while others are seeking out shopping bargains. The food selection was pleasing and since it wasn’t long after breakfast we only got coffees this time. Nicely done, and comfy chairs, and plenty of books to browse through too - 4/5.

R.One of the best book stores in Wellington. They also have toys for the youngsters, puzzles for those that enjoy the challenge and a large arts and crafts section.
L.Solid shop that sells books, stationary and toys. It is really useful if you want to buy a gift and the things to wrap it in one place. They have a good selection of magazines (though not as extensive as Magnetix) and a cafe upstairs (which I haven't tried). They also have an impressive range of hobby board games for a mainstream store, though expect higher prices than a dedicated board game store. Service has always been pretty good.

A.The staff is really helpful and the place is always clean and organized. Coming from NYC I'd say this is a pretty good bookstore except they lack a lot of books haha. There's tons of stationary and office supplies and gifts but not so many books. Still a great store :)

A.The shop itself is very nice lots of stock. The cafe used to be but not so much anymore. My mum saw three girls changing the rubbish together and did not receive her food and had to go and ask for it 10 mins later!
H.This store is quite a large Whitcoulls store (selling books, board games, cards etc.) The staff are exceptional being very helpful and friendly. The pricing of books is as expected, though if course as an avid reader I do wish it could be a little cheaper! Of the stores in the Wellington CBD, I would recommend visiting this one.

R.Always a reliable shop to get any item of stationery, gift cards, wrapping paper and the like - probably the best selection of cards in Wellington. I was after a specific birthday card and after giving up trying to find it in the suburbs headed into the city to whitcoulls in Lambton Quay and wasn't disappointed. The shop has two floors and carries a wide variety of books, games, stationery etc. Well laid out. Staff super helpful and friendly - it's great to see that the whitcoulls brand and market perception of it being the greatest NZ family stationery and book store (IMHO) is being well maintained.

H.Huge bookshop selling books on the ground level and stationaries / more books on the first floor. There's also a spacious cafe inside where you can enjoy coffee and foods. Maybe due to the store being too big, the staffs are not attentive; although there were 5 staffs at the cashier, no one was willing to serve customers who were basically in que waiting to be served... other than that a very good bookstore in CBD.

S.This is a great book and stationary shop with a great selection of children's educational toys. You could spend hours in here. Luckily there is also a good cafe too
O.Two story, basically everything you'd ever want or need short of a gold-plated pad paper (though you never quite know what's in fashion these days). Good prices, great location on Lambing Kway, really nice customer service, just sad that my stapler turned out kinda rubbish.
H.A favourite shop to visit, it's busy, the staff are pleasant but the most important thing is the range of products offered and the fact that I am always able to find the book I want, stationery I need and the right card for any occasion. Added to which there's lotto.
H.Huge shop with a large variety of items, including books, toys, games, puzzles, greeting cards and all your stationary requirements. Spread over two levels and with a Lotto outlet included as well, the location in the heart of Wellington City on Lambton Quay is ideal if you are already in town for shopping. Great sales, great range and great service. Plus they have a loyalty scheme which has rewards that accummulate at a good rate and deliver real benefits without having to spend too much.
H.Came for a donut and left with a birthday card! Couldn't recommend this place more! Never got that donut though

J.Whitcouls Lambton quay is a real huge place where you can find a wide range of products. it's customer service is really great and very helpful and the staff that helped me seemed to know exactly where everything was and had a lot of experience in there profession and were able to steer you in the right direction and would give u advice on where to get a product that they wouldn't have them. overall I had a great experience here at whitcoulls lambton quay
