Awesome customer service-my elderly parents & I were queuing to go in & it was hot today. The store greeter took us to the front & let us in straight away. A joy to shop in with lots of space inside to shop compared to how crammed it used to be.

Discount store located in 'The Hub' shopping center. Shop has an odd layout with the checkouts towards the back of the building and someone checking your purchases on your way out. Big homeware section with stuff for your kitchen/bedroom/bathroom/etc. The other dominant section is clothing with separate areas for mens, womens & kids clothes. There is a decent baby section and areas for toys and arts n crafts. Can't rate the staff as I've yet to speak to one despite being there three time. Loads of parking outside..

I go to Kmart for their housewares, pet accessories and cotton shirts. I used to buy cotton draw-string chinos, too, but they started putting elastics on the cuffs and calling them "joggers". The elastic grabs your ankles and your pants fall down if you bend over. Bring back the non-elastic cuffs!! :-)

I went to shop there on monday on my way home to taupo and was welcomed by the most lovely lady carla ,what a happy smiley employee so helpful and just full of joy i dont think ive ever been treated to such a lovely greeting even my 14 year old daughter was tickled pink absolutely made our day 3 days later still enjoying the welcome hence my post...thank you so much carla will definetly stop and shop there again cheers deb

Very helpful friendly service. From Aug 2018 this store has doubled in size which means twice as much product. They will now be having a full range of product lines just like the other KMart stores. Open from 8am till midnight 7days a week. Check out the website or call for more details

If you're looking for cheap prices then this has it. You need to look around if you have the time though. I went to look, but wouldn't regularly visit because mot much appealed to me here. Quality goods are important in the longer run. But this store is affordable which is inviting.

Kmart is a must stop when traveling from Gisborne through to Auckland. Not the easiest Kmart to find your way around or find what you are looking for. Needless to say I still end up purchasing way more than what I bargained on buying. Note to self remember to bring more reusable bags next time 😁

Love kmarts great prices, great range & open atmosphere. Often have $2 clothing & shoes sales. Cant comment much on customer service because we only use self service seems to be the only thing avaliable, dont really get much of a welcoming or interaction with staff, if you need help on the shop floor you need to go looking for a staff member. Not much customer engagememt with staff unless you need their assistance.

The store has been newly renovated and opened recently. It's beautiful and quite pleasing to shop in. The staff were nice, does get a bit annoying when you're asked for a reciept when leaving the store carrying you're things in a plastic bag you can only get from the pay station 😓 But they're just doing jobs, I guess. Things are a tad bit hard to find but once you've established yourself with the building, you're right 😅 The opening was fantastic and recieved a $10 Kmart voucher and a cupcake for being there on the day. If you haven't seen the new Kmart store at The Hub yet, you must go down for a visit 👍

I love the variety and quality of the clothing, shoes, toys and home decor products. My dogs like the dog biscuits and toys. My husband likes the variety of camping and outdoor products Kmart carries. Our grandchildren love the sweets and always look forward to going shopping there.

Just want to buy everything! Homewares is my fave plus all the clearances. They just need more colour variety in the blankets as the majority is grey or black. Colours need to reflect the seasonal times.

A reasonable large store located in a hub complex just outside Whakatane. There is plenty of parking and several other stores in the hub complex. I had very good service with a staff member approaching me and otherwise good advice and directing me to the product I required. At this time of year beginning of December it was chocker full of Xmas paraphernalia, . I couldn't get out of there fast enough grabbed what I wanted and escaped the avalanche of Xmas excess.

I am concerned about the housekeeping in this store. 3 times before xmas i went to a toy shelf that had been destroyed by kids, wrappers off toys, broken toys, really messy. Half opened sweets, sweets stuck to shelf and other toys. The other evening i couldn't get the trolley down 2 of the shoe isles, the floor was littered in shoes . I have noticed that most of the staff hang around the centre of the store and seem to have a lot of time on their hands, so why cant they tidy floors and shelves? I love kmart but its starting to look like a rubbish dump. Have some pride guys!

Kmart whakatane! Why are you shelves so bare? Lol. Second time on holiday and the same! Can understand its the holiday season but have more staff! Great. I researched online the cost of plastic clamshell pools to use for catering. Kmart by far were the cheapest at $25 for 2 shells...followed by Warehouse at $19 for1. Thanks Kmart!

Once again the mobility parks at the front of your shop full of non compliant vechicles ,people sitting in them while there passengers shop .While people with disabilities have to try and park in main park and get out and over to try and shop at your kmart !We won't be able to unless your security polices this.Seems only in front of your shop,daily.
