First visit today. An amazing array of product. Be prepared to spend ages wandering around this large store. Bargains are on every shelf. I'll be back!! (as someone said)🤣

Was amaze by the whole stuff in this store.. Everything so affordable.. You can find anything from small stuff for your home decoration to a big stuff for builder.. :-) My husband even happier than me when he found something that he been looking for, of course with a good bargain.. Really recommended!!

Need something, anything,,, don't forget to check athurs first... If you stand in Bunnings, mitre 10 spotlight or a hobby store, asked yourself, "maybe I should have checked Arthur's before I spend a fortune". Decorations always make the place look nice but can cost more then the dinner party you throw... Not here.. also a great range of tools and building materials. Brands the professionals use with prices we can all afford!... Friendly staff, (always laugh how quick they are adding the prices up in their head.) Ropes, paint in and out door. And the best rage of funky fabrics!. The best in Whangarei!

Always worth a visit! Staff are friendly and you never know what you might find. This time I bought some wallpaper, smiley lunch boxes, a kite for an o/seas gift wrap and two lovely notebooks and all for under $20.00....pop in..but give yourself some time. Great for sewers, diy people and kiddies parties too☺

Arthurs Emporium is an iconic place in Whangarei. Guaranteed to find something you need in here. The best variety store in Northland for sure! Their selection of fabrics, ribbon, sewing goods is second to none as is their hardware, paints and metal fastenings. You can buy single items or packs of more than one. I especially like that I don't have to buy a packet of 25 screws when I only need 6. The staff are always welcoming, helpful and friendly. Easy access, good parking. Top Shop!

When you something like any thing to do with costume, nails shelves tools bolts any thing to do with your house. Good parking. Disable park and entrance for wheel chairs there as well. Only problems not much room for scooter.

Don't do it. It is a trap. You go in to buy 2 metres of 2cm wide elastic. You come home with that plus a dozen muffin trays, make up wipes, a tarpaulin, 3 gift bags, pack of 6 flannels, a sledge hammer and some really cute hair bands and ribbons for my 3 year old granddaughter. Kidding. I LOVE this place but it is not a pop in, buy elastic, and then exit kind of store. Or maybe that is just me. Sooooo worth a visit or 3.

A massive range of DIY tools and materials. The range of clothing and footwear, available on the day, rather surprised me - real bonus that polo shirts were there.. Even if you've got a shopping list - I suggest you allow time to peruse the extensive range of products and materials available and good for many purposes (gift-giving too). Staff wear helpful and friendly. The big team on deck meant queue time wasn't too bad. The EFTPOS docket was traditional - and, upon request a fully detailed hand-written sales docket was provided.

Great place to get a wide variety of things under one roof at great prices. Some items you have to go with what they have in stock at the time of your visit eg paint, but they still can't be beaten on value for money.

Wonderful. Surprised how many aisles including costumes they decked out for, for Halloween. Was great to see as we only do this for our tamariki. To give them a safe experience. Great service by staff too. Very warm and helpful during this busy last minute shopping for costumes that only last an hour or so a year.

Everything!! I needed for crafting and so much more. I was amazed by the tools hardware and paint. A must see for my husband on my next trip. Great prices!! My main reason for visiting was for beads and I was blown away by the selection jar upon jar....almost endless. Come scrummage for a bargain in this warehouse. So much stuff to look at. Well stocked and well presented with a huge range of goodies from party and kids supplies, material for dresses and curtains, hunting knives, mechanical bits and pieces. All sorts to keep everyone entertained!

This big shop is like Bunnings, Kmart and your grandpa's garage rolled into one, with a very cool shark mural outside! From duct tape to nail polish to walking sticks with a built in light - this is where the locals send you when you wonder where you can find a particular item at an affordable price: "Arthur's will have it!" And the service is lovely too!

Smells of a Chinese factory with small workers running around with plastic baked onto there skin. Despite this, the staff are very kind and helpful, and it is the place to go to get things for crafts for yourself, or to entertain your kids for a $10 budget, cos if you can handle the smell for long enough to get used to and hope it has no health problems resulting from the inhalation, there a wide array of items, just a massive range of things for everyone in every occasion.

I love Arthur's Emporium - it's a Whangarei institution that's been around for a long as I can remember, and as a local business, owned and run by local people, it deserves to be supported over the likes of The Warehouse and Kmart. As an avid crafter I come here when I'm after something specific (and more often than not I will find it), and I come when I'm just looking for inspiration. I could happily spend hours browsing, and I love that everything is so affordable. I'm always impressed that the cashiers just add up purchases in their head rather than scanning or using a calculator!
