w.A mall of elegance with many upmarket stores. It is content with a variety of shops from grocers, clothing, electronics and restaurants. Great place to have a weekend brunch or late afternoon shopping.
L.Another small shopping mall with Fresh Choice supermarket and some non-chain shops as well as others. Pleasant being not too big.
E.Clean, they have the best restroom in all Christchurch malls.
H.It's a good place to sit and watch the Merivale Dames cruising about in $5000.00 outfits picking up their wine from the supermarket.
G.We've always been there when all but the supermarket are closed so this review is possibly a little unfair, in that there are shops and cafes which we could have visited but haven't/didn't.
However, the mall is clean and seems adequate for the area in which it stands and serves. Yes, up to us to visit at a better time of the day.

P.Here is where you’ll find your local Merivale mums driving Audi Q7s and Land Rover Range Rover sports getting groceries and expensive fire coats before they pick up the kids at Saint Andrew’s for cricket practice and laps at the local pool!
Y.Had lunch in a cafe just outside the mall name escapes me at the moment but it was well priced, well served and went down best of all :)

K.Merivale Mall one of smaller, boutique malls in Christchurch, There are some really nice stores very upmarket brand-name retailers, the mall is always very clean and very visually appealing. Large parking at the back, Supermarket Pharmacy, Sushi bar licensed bar just to name a few.
J.Great mall if you are passing by, the Fresh Choice grocery store has the best deli!!
D.A small Mall with a Fresh Choice supermarket and a few other shops. Easy access and plenty of off street parking. Clean and tidy without the cluttered food court that you find in most malls.

B.I love this mall. Parking easy. The mall is small cf to some but everything I need in a mall. Love the Rembrandt shop. Good spaces and bright cheerful environment.

J.Talk about Boujee and class lol, first visit after 7 year's honestly felt so out of place😂😂, but you know what it actually felt like home 🤣🤣, had a great time viewing all the boutique stores such a great ambient if you got class that is.

R.It's good, a much more pleasant experience than the Westfield and Northland's malls. None of the awful food courts or the endless national chain stores. It's much more boutique, a bit snobbish but pleasant.

s.Recently renovated in 2018 with $10mil revamp. Nicely done up toilet facilities with family room both the exterior and interior of the mall has been significantly done up too. The supermarket in the mall is also very nicely decorated the flowers are near the checkout counter and beautifully presented. Quite a few spaces are still vacant. The mall is pretty busy already mostly with elderly people.
A.This place never changes! For well over 35 years it has been the centre of tasteful fashion, design, food and drink. You need to people-watch for only a few minutes to learn what all the loveliest ladies and trendiest teenagers are wearing... and driving. It is definitely the place to be seen whether you are stocking up on hummus and pinot or indulging in a weekly facial and mani/pedi. Put on your poshest accent, clutch your credit card and shop till you drop, darling!

H.If you want a good macaroon pop in here. Get the giant salted caramel one.. not cheap but make it your treat! Plenty of other great stores in here too including the fresh choice which is beautifully set out!

G.This is quite a unique mall in Christchurch, some might call it buetique as it is on the small size but it does have good parking which is a bonus. It is bright, clean and very well maintained with a number of places where you can eat or drink. Plus there are a few clothes shops that are worth a look. The toilets are very clean indeed and well designed.

K.Just another mall. While visiting from Nelson over the last 10 weeks or so, my wife and I have had lunch in most of the lunch providers and used the Fresh Choice Supermarket for our day to day supplies.
D.Small with a selection of shops. Certianly the fashion mecca of the area with several trendy bars and cafes. They have expansion plans for the future so the intention must be for more variety. Easy to move around the mall without kiosks filling the center area. Large carpark at the back and some parking at the front on Papanui Rd. A relaxed atmosphere which is a nice change for a mall.
E.Really pleasant environment with a really well presented Freshchoice supermarket open until late
D.Great small mall, wonderful clothes shops for men and women, love Hartleys for clothes and Moda Bella for shoes. Fresh Choice is well worth a visit, after shopping there are a variety of food places to sit and enjoy a rest from shopping

I.Undergoing renovations that will see the mall even more glitzy than it is now. Trendy fashion and shoe shops, jewellery, books, gifts and a supermarket and pharmacy. Compact and top end. Half price here is still expensive. Browse the carpark if you want to see what's hot in SUVs! Locals dress up to go shopping here.
T.Great shopping and tasty food at the Cafe
M.This mall is for VERY RICH POSH PEOPLE. I would feel very uncomfortable unless I wear nicely. The things they sell are very high class and nice but expensive!!
W.Very nice mall...just undergone a lot of renovations and is certainly high end....and all the shop prices reflect this also....even the supermarket there has higher than normal prices for average products...certainly targeted for the affluent customers from the area
N.Pretty basic as far as malls go. Some great specialty foods, awesome selection of beers and great wine specials at the supermarket. Good spot if you're looking for upmarket clothing stores.

E.A nice small mall, supermarket of course but other shops appear to be mainly independent retailers and not the normal suspects you find in a mall, consequently it is a nice spot to visit ac the chance to see something different is enhanced

M.Merivale Mall has a nice atmosphere, good shops & friendly staff. It was easy to park although fairly quiet there on Sunday afternoon.

I.A reasonable place to shop. Shops have reasonable quality but charge MORE than similar shops elsrwhere giving a superficial impression of the goods being higher quality than they really are. Its a place to be seen rather than a place tp buy. Very slightly wider range of goods in some shops.
H.I love Merivale Mall. Although I get looked at funny for my tattoos I'm comfortable there and it seems to have everything I need when visiting Christchurch including a camera store. I'll be back again
A.More female focus shopping, some shops still boarded up. More of a little boutique mall, the freshchoice supermarket holds the place together I think. The supermarket has an amazing selection compared to most.

E.I only came here to get a couple of groceries, there was a lot of construction on at the time. Did look like it's going to be nice. Lots of shops from getting a cup of coffee, groceries, electrical supplies to nice clothes.
j.Boutique style mall. Not very huge. Supermarket, salon for men and women, pharmacy, photo/video store etc. Post office and ANZ bank nearby as well. Plenty of parking. Bus stop nearby.

B.Small mall next to many street shops. It has a grocery store. But if you are after photography equipment then the camera shop there has by far a greater range of products than any other one
S.Undergoing major refurbishment at present, but no doubt once completed, it will regain its crown as the most upmarket shopping mall in Christchurch.
T.I didn't spend much time there but they seemed to have a good range of shops. The service at the cafe was excellent.

A.Falls pretty short in terms of malls in the city - may as well head off to Riccarton or Northlands as they have a far greater range of shops and things to look at. There's just nothing really special about this mall - as others said it could certainly learn a thing or two from The Columbo.
