Hoyts Te awa can still open When they going to have recliner seats

Quite busy most times. I like some shops in the area. Nice if you don't want to go into the mall but still want to have a variety. Parking is annoying. Finding where I parked is also annoying.

Lots of parking, all the shops you need and a well equipped food court. Some shops are outside over the carpark (rebel sport, bed bath and beyond etc) so we didn't bother checking those out.

First visiting this centre for years. It is definitely worth a visit. From the mall of te awa to the base shops, there is so much to choose from, eateries galore, parking for Africa, undercover too. Really really impressed, wish Tauranga had something like this!😊👍

A lovely place to go and shop, have a bite to eat. Heaps of car parks. Friendly staff in the shops, clean toilets, the cleaners are brilliant 👏

I get really bad anxiety when places are over crowded and just look dirty but this mall is great. Definitely prefer driving there over Auckland. Really like taking the kids to Jago town on the 2nd floor, and I find staff in all the shops friendly and helpful.

Great place to shop somewhere in the mall will have what you looking for from food to a massage to a movie. The toilets are always clean and tidy environment

Great shops, good selection. Gets over crowded at times which in these times isn't comfortable. Generally a good place to shop. Good movie theater and food court. Te Awa The Base has it all

The cleaners were really helpful and went out of their way to ensure 8 of us could sit together

We went for our Covid jabs. It was a good experience the nurse and other assistants were wonderful. It was late in the afternoon and there was a constant flow with no hitches at all. Especially nice and kind were the two ladies at the exit and they were light hearted but efficient although they must have been very tired. Well done everyone. The nurse made a special effort to find comfy seats for us as my husband is a stroke victim. Thank you all.

We went to the Farmers, it was pretty quiet, not too many people. We didn't have to wait, got purchases then went to spark, in and out of there. Do really great. Thankyou Te Awa Patsy Gaylor

I love visiting Te Awa unfortunately so does everyone else, highly recommend you shop really early if you like to shop with ease.

I always love going to Te Awa. The underground parking is very good. The shops are great too.

Easy parking, good access, good selection of shops. Air conditoned comfort

Nice big open wide spaces with plenty of room to move around comfortably. Bright lighting which gives out a relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of outdoor parking and the play area for the toddlers with high fencing has that safety factor watching them play while being able to have a conversation as well. Really nice place.

Loved their food court. Must try dosa, idli, uttapam at Spice Traders in food court. 😋

Very comfortable area for Covid vaccination. Very well organized handling of patients. Staff very congenial & polite. Longest wait period was the 20 min stipulation wait time after injection.

Lots of experiences to be had at Te AWA. Free parking is a bonus and a contributing factor to being one of the mall popular malls in Hamilton. Lots of restaurants/fast food place to suit everyone. Large range of shops with the movie theatre on to level. Great place for a date or a weekend of shopping. Late night shopping on a Friday night with a food market set up in one of the car parks makes for a good night out also.

Quite a new and large shopping mall. Plenty of parking in the basement with lights that help you find empty spots. Quite a few shops and it also has a food court and cinema. There are also restaurants lining the outer edge of the mall.

Great shopping area all that you need and want. Clean toilet facilities. A marvellous variety of food .

Huge, has all main retail chains here. And its expanding even more

Very quiet not many cars or people. But as always a good place to shop.

Great place to visit for shopping, eating and movies! Its like a one stop shop for everything! Love coming to the base specially because of the parking. Free parking and plenty of parking spaces available. There are always great deals for shopping. There is also a little play area for the kids if they are getting bored of shopping. Good eating places as well. Close by is a supermarket and Kmart. Pretty much no need to go from one end of the city to another, everything is close by...

Still the same shopping mall, but now with occasional "papers please" requests. That annoys the ever loving out of me.

Yet another great mall, ample parking. Wide selection of well known shops and on the outside a further selection of huge franchises.

Nice mall, with some very nice shops! I got the perfect fit for my shoes, and a lovely pancake breakfast, unfortunately when I went down to Hamilton and Karipiro I was on a mini holiday to see maadi cup, so I obviously cant come her often, but I will certainly visit again when I get the chance!

Great venue , hard to find a park but the perseverance is worth it

During peak time, it is very hard to find a parking even though the parking is the biggest in Hamilton.

I have a love hate thing here, lots of stores so lots of choice but because of that oh so many people. It puts you in a headspace of consume but that's what it is there for right, still doesn't mean I have to like the mass shopping experience

One stop mall for the whole family. Food court could be better though.

Love the variety of shops offering everything you could possibly need. Having such a diverse range and number of Stores, prices are highly competitive. Food is available to suit all tastes and Restrooms are very clean. Car Parks are usually busy but always available with a wee bit of patience. Disability Car Parks are handy to shops.

Some items r better on this side of the base than on the other, for costume parties it's great to check the small stores 1st, saves money & looks.better

Largest shopping mall in Hamilton. Has movies, food court, restaurants and excellent shopping. Car parking is free and there is under cover parking and a charge station as well.

Decent size mall. Good flow. The food court has the essentials. A mcds, KFC, sushi place, and tank juice are the notable mainstays of the food court. A variety of cafe/bakery places spread throughout. The various phone provider stores at what feels like their most convenient closeness in the city. At least when balanced with parking. The lush makes one end smell wonderful. Big space, tall ceilings, a variety of escalators and travel actors providing access options from the underground parking. Its got stores that honestly are probably better listed elsewhere. An acceptable time if a mall is what you require.

Great shopping complex. Always clean and tidy. Great selection of shops and food vendors. Best to go early in the morning as it gets very busy and parking can be hard to find.

Heaps of shopping options here with lots of ample parking. It would however be nice to see a larger selection of shops be added over time.

A quick visit to get presents great options

After using the underground car park, I've raised my appreciation of this place. It's awesome and the air was cooled which I found extraordinary and thankful for. Easy to get around just loathe the crazy exit out!

BEST PLACE to get your Covid vaccine. Smooth operation. Great team.

The best time to visit here is early morning and on days when there are not too many crowds there for the many promotions the businesses have. Obviously if you want to go to the sale a business is having, then expect to be in the company of many people. Te AWA is a very popular shopping mall and has the best of the best; shops, boutiques, cafes, Theatres, department stores, businesses, service providers, natural therapy, beauty salons and so forth. Lots of shops to choose from, large areas for ease of movement, easy to find your way around and has a decent food court. Underground parking makes it ideal for winter shopping. Overall a great place to go shopping.

Massive selection of stores and food. Pretty hard not to spend money to be fair. Always a pretty good day out for some retail therapy.

One stop shopping for all your mallrat. Btw...Mosaik makes THE BEST eggs benny this side of the planet!

This place is a strange shopping centre experience. It lacks a certain charm and enthusiasm. Don't get me wrong - all the shops you expect are there - but there is just something missing and I just can't put my finger on what it is! If you go there and disagree I'll happily change this post.

Great mall. Everything is easy to find and even when busy people flow through pretty easily. Some shops get a bit busy but it is a pretty good place overall and a good shopping mall to go to if you need to buy something.

Wasn't impressed with the food options, especially with kids that are 8 and 11, no bang for a buck, son had Chinese and wasn't worth the money. Shopping is spread out and inconvenient with kids. No hurry to go back

Go to place when heading to Hamilton. One stop shopping centre as there's many places you can go to, rather than having to drive everywhere. Bigheat appeal is the free parking there, and the shuttle if your vehicle is parked on the other side to where you've walked to.

This is a very busy place on the weekends lucky there's a lot of parking scattered all.over this landscape. Good.variety of shops and I was so.glad.to see that Chemist warehouse made it to.the base. It's a favorite. I enjoy the base. It's got everything all in 1 area so I'm happy with what is. What's everyone else's experience at the base?

Good place. You can find anything you want, any food you want and playground for kid as well.

All the Label Brands under one roof within The Base Complex. We'll laid out, atrium style, well lit and roomy. Food Hall, clean conveniences, works well. Parking underneath is massive with courtesy lights directing you to free spaces. Outside shopping Hub is equally impressive. Easy to spend a day here.

It’s a rather convenient kind of mall. Not too big and will give you a good possibility of getting what you need from a mall and so does gives away that not much choices for other brands.

Sooooo many shops and a nice food court

Good variety of shopping options. Easy parking but can be challenging to keep moving when its peak shopping times. It is a great way to shop with every thing available and once you have parked you can navigate on foot. I usually park near mitre 10 mega and walk the pavement to where I want to go. Being at the top end of Hamilton I can get onto the expressway north and then home. Simple !

Parking was great. Not too much hassle or waiting. Most traffic are considerate of pedestrians. Playground for kids, grassed areas, minimal outdoor seating. Pretty convenient and varied shops. Toilets located throughout and clean, tidy and do not smell. Pretty chill shopping environment. Not too far from highway/motorway/chartwell shopping centre. Love visiting there anytime of the year.

Fantastic mix of indoor and outdoor shopping. Also available is indoor and outdoor parking. Great range of shops and a lovely foodcourt with a handful of other eating options. Amazing playground for the kids right in the centre of the mall - I almost wish I was young enough to use it!! I could easily spend all day here.

Great place to go, good variety of the major stores as well as the small ones. Great parking, all the shops around the outskirts with parking in the middle and underneath. Tells how many parking spots are left in each area, well planned.

When the city council,gave permission,for the base 2b created,and granted,all the permits,the hub or city center of hamilton,namely garden place,and the surrounding bussineses,became a ghost-town,the city councillors shot themselves in the foot.there should be,activities happening in hamilton city,concerts,markets,performances,buskers.free parking,family orientated events,every weekend,should be happening,in garden place,to bring the people back,to the hub,bring back skating,at the meteor,refurbish,and inject funds into the municipal pool that was closed,by council,make the facility bigger,add another two Olympic pools,there's plenty ty of room,ha.ilton is growing,more migrants are settling here in hamilton.common councillors wake-up.if you don't want2 lag 4it,then let a forine immigrant millionaire pay 4it.let hamilton grow and expand.com.on countless dont nust sit there and collect your paybacks.

TE AWA is massive. It has literally everything you need including an ELECTRONIC'S BOUTIQUE With an incredible range of Pop Vinyls and merchandise. The mall has everything you need even fantastic banking. And neat gift stores like Type O. Surrounded by the mall is Look Sharp and EB. attached are pics of purchases from there . As an Aucklander, who's just moved here last year. It's the best place to go for everything! Better Than Sylvia Park anyway!!!

Huge and lotz of shops. Coupled with "The Base" as a shopping complex with playground, very good. Parking appeared to be quite tight.

Great place has almost everything you need and countdown and Kmart are just across the road. Movies are good as well with big screens and comfortable seating and finding a park is never really a problem. Nice place to find good gifts for people and also a good place to spend the day with nuce food establishments

Always a good shopping experience with lots of retail stores eating places and more. Parking galore. #Wheelchair accessible parking good signs for directions. Dressmart is my favourite shopping places to visit. Always be able to get a few good items of interest.

Very good, very large shopping mall. Ok to park electric bike. Very good for shopping different stores. Security guards very nice. Customer service very good. I think lock up very well, but keep very vigilant on bike, no problems :-) I go there often :-) could do with more bike stands :-)

Very dangerous riding my Bicycle to shop at Te Awa. Motor cars were not stopping at intersections, going through red lights, not giving way at pedestrian crossings. Plus no Bicycle parking.

Nice shopping centre with ample parking (underneath with the red & green lights so easy to find a space) food court has all the usual suspects and movie theatre is comfortable. All the shops you expect plus a couple you don't.

Quick trip to Pharmacy and Macpac. Plenty of parking this morning. Even managed to cast my vote at the polling station set up in the carpark. In, out, easy as, just what I wanted

Great shopping precinct with a number of variety and choice heaps of parking and a lovely lively atmosphere, really liked how the designers incorporated the different Maori forms of Art, my fist time there and I'll go and tell my friends 10/10

Beautiful Mall. Well equipped with all sorts of shops and food court. Clean bathrooms as well as a Parents room for little ones or for mothers to breasfeed in privacy. Ample parking with clear electronic markings advising you amount of available parking and exactly where those parkings are with red/green lights above each parking spot.

Its mall folks, with all the usual retail outlets, & a few more. Last Saturday I needed to do some urgent banking, & Te Awa had the only open branch. Parking is readily available, & I can usually find one near where I want to go. On Saturday however, it seemed that everyone had the same idea. Cars everywhere! Good for the retailers though.

Alot of shopping facilities and public toilets and a Park for tamariki to run about There are shops surrounding the mall as well as other shops across the main road Kmart Is located across the road next to Countdown there will be a new Pak n save across from Countdown in the future. There are plenty of parking options and banking too.

Great shopping available for anyone despite their interests. Movies and an extensive food court are located here, as well as farmers, stationary and many retail stores. Always makes for a great day out, even in the rain as Te Awa is fully enclosed, unlike other parts of the base.

Xmas Shopping always stressful at the best of times. Car Parking unpleasant due to masses of Xmas shoppers but stores we went to excellent, staff helpful and knowledgeable. So no complaints. It is after all just another shopping mall so what you would expect.

Wow! There are such a huge range of shops here. Would need a few days to get round them all. Super friendly shop assistants every shop I went into. Great parking. Even has a playground for kids to play in.

Cool if you can make it during the week you can park anywhere near the shop you need most things you want in the Te AWA area

I'm from Auckland and have been in Hamilton this week. Popped over to the food Market. Loads of choice with food. A word of advice though, take some cash and Eftpos. No paywave.

Always good selrction of Gluten free food. Spotlessly clean toilets plenty of parking foe people with disabilities

It's a mall, if your visiting Hamilton and want to go a place with lots of shops then you'll love it, I personally liked the art as you head to the toilets.

Just your typical NZ mall. the usual shops but it is a really nice light, clean and open space (but fully covered in). The parking situation (it's free which is nice) is usually easy and convinient but at this time of the year around christmas, especially on the weekends it can get crazy and full so be warned lol.

The Base has something for everyone dependent on what your looking for. Great place to catch up with family and friends, good variety of eateries, good time of the day to visit and leave before school traffic 😀

This place is absolutely wonderful, nice people, very clean and many places to shop. Also a great place to get a quick bite to eat. I don't know about the restaurant prices, but I totally give five stars!

A very popular and busy shopping centre. Something for everyone, even children's activities. I witnessed an elderly lady trip and fall. Security was there in no time to assist. Very clean and tidy wherever I went. Well signed

Don't park underground in the wet, its like a skating rink. Come to think of it, every walking surface was as slippery a.f.

Modern, stylish, safe with security and assistance staff. Massive amount of free parking. Many other types of shops like supermarkets and hardware on adjoining sites. Also has EV charging bay in underground car park.

Love this shopping mal. It has almost everything, you can find lots of brands for clothing, fashion accessories, electronics, musical instruments, body shop, gift shop, tele sims, and many more. I liked the structure and the arrangements of the showrooms. It's awesome.

Has a great range of clothing for men and women. Couple of cool gift stores, has a couple of great creative stationery stores. Pharmacy, couple of cafés. Great food court, also best cinema in Waikato. Amazing parking facilities. Good place to relax and go shopping.

Has everything you want in one place. If you need to go from one side of the base to the other, they have golf cart vehicles to take you. Parking is free and plenty of it and no time limit to how long you can park.

Come here quite often, really nice to have all the shops I like in one spot. The food court area tends to get way to busy if you're there over lunch time.

Love the shopping and parking here. You could find almost everything inside the mall. Handy to big Kmart and huge miter 10 and probably 5 mins drive to Bunnings and spot light. Also near Harvey Normans and within walking distance to Heathcotes appliances for your white wares.

Ample carparking area above ground also underground parking free/situated underneath shopping mall. Handy esculator giving you convienant access to entrance of the mall. A range of shops to browse for all budgets , a food court kfc, McDonald's ,Subway etc. Toilets on site wheel chair friendly. Across the way opposite Te Awa there is an array of shops for the shopoholic you won't be disappointed

One of the largest malls in NZ. Lots of free parking, underground and also uncovered. Large covered and sunny avenues within mall. It could use more special stores as there's only so much clothing a human can buy. Good food mall.

Good parking, except during the lead up to Christmas. I've noticed some shops have lousy reviews and they should be avoided. I too have had bad experiences in those stores. Rebel sports is also a constant mess. Not a pleasant experience.

Beautiful mall but lacking a information desk and services for the elderly and disabled. Nearly every mall or shopping centre you go to in the Gold Coast has scooter's that make the whole shopping experience more enjoyable for both the elderly and disabled and their families..

Awesome place to shop, whether it's an all day browse or purchasing items, there is free public parking, a huge food court or if you prefer an outside meal that is also at hand, there are a mix of clothing and shoe stores to choose from, so go and meet the friendly staff and you'll enjoy being there.

Its got so many great shops, A food court, Movie theatre, Playground for the kids(My boys love it), So much more. Get on down and check it out.

Beautiful place, love having everything in one place! Had an entire day spent at Te Awa and we didn't go to every store. Love the modern artwork and architecture as well!

Great shopping mall, its always tidy and clean, it only takes few steps to different shops from the Carpark.

Te AWA has countless shopping options it's possible to spend all day here and not see everything. There are bus services directly outside the shopping area and there's also plenty of parking. Get a massage if you're feeling tired.

This an extremely pleasant indoor mall, light and airy with its attractive natural light roof. I tend to go for particular reasons such as a haircut, eye appointment etc. I always use the underground parking, which is very convenient.

Parking is good, but not leading up to Xmas and boxing day. Kid's playground with toilet close by. Good sushi and adequate coffee in the outside mall. Foodcourt within Te Awa was mediocre, often overcrowded and dirty.

It has everything you need but it's just always so busy. Not great for someone who experiences anxiety in crowds so not my first choice. I would have loved it back when anxiety wasn't a fact of life

An awesome shopping complex for the locals & international traveller. Theres something there for everyone! Even a playground for the kids! Is obviously super busy during the holidays but plenty of parking facilities, covered & uncovered.

Morden setting with various shops and functions including food court, movie theater and outdoor play ground for kids. It’s always a nice place for family to enjoy a shopping day. Btw, there’s Tesla charging station located in its underground car park.

Apart from Christmas there's plenty of parking. In the main mall there's farmers and most of the other chain stores along with some great little boutique stores. The food court has the normal crappie stores like maccas but there's also great little places the grill (not sure of it's name) There's a movie theatre upstairs. Surrounding the main car park are the big chain stores like rebel, Kathmandu, Briscoe, Noel leamings plus many others

Such a big shopping 🛍 center honestly love spending my money on useless things but if u wanna go somewhere to get rid off all ur money I highly recommend the base!!!! Got everything ya need

Stopped in for a meal before heading into the Warehouse, Wife got us Buttered Chicken from Shamiana, that was filling, i got our son an Ice Cream from Kiwiyo, now i have never paid for an Ice Cream from this place before and never again: I didn't read the sign properly before filling my small scoop bowl, and was charged $4 per 100g's.

Large mall and when combined with The Base provides pretty much a complete retail environment. Not many, if any, unique boutique stores, it's the usual chain stores you'll find everywhere in NZ...but at least they are all here.

A very busy Hub that seems to have everything needed from one location. Parked down Mitre 10 end where there was plenty of free parking and walked to where we needed to go.

Heaps of parking above and below ground. Lots of stores clothing electronics. Movie theatre and food hall. Lifts available from carpark but also escalators the flat kind not stairs so good for wheelchairs pushchairs and trolley. Vlean tiday with decent restrroms and baby change room

Very good place to go on a cold day. Lots of good shops and if you don't want to spend money, there are lots of people to watch - for entertainment. They are all so different.

Te Awa itself is a great place. The food mall is getting a bit boring. The staff in some shops have a very poor attitude who obviously don't enjoy their work of being in customer service

Awsome shopping complex with free parking, plenty of different shops and food shops, movie theater. With a great food court and playground for the kids, usually a bouncer castle or somethink fun going on for the kids too, helpful security and a help desk to give u advice on getting around

I spent a few hours in Te Awa - I was in Spec Savers - they were all very Professional but still friendly - I got glasses and Sun glasses at a good price - I then wen for lunch - a Salad from Tank They were Very busy - and my salad was OK but was not quite the same as usual - I just wandered in and out if shops for a while - I had a Fun time - it was Great

Good place for a shop but go early or late as at peek times it's packed. You won't find a park and if you do good luck getting your shopping done if your in a hurry.

The Vodafone outlet was able to accommodate all my needs. They provided me with a new affordable cellphone and a free SIM card as well. They are very professional and it's the place to go if Vodafone is your choice as a provider.

A large plentyful shopping centre. With a large variety of food and shopping. Can get very busy as expected, especially when wet outside. Amazing building, other than that it's a shopping centre.

Located in The Base Te Rapa, this part of the complex includes a large variety of boutique stores all enclosed indoors, unlike the rest of the premises. All stores are on first floor, with a huge Hoyts Cinemas situated on second floor. Food court is found in centre of the building, and includes underground parking.

The only mega mall in the Waikato. Good selection of stores. The massive Farmers and Hoyts Cinema make this a worthwhile trip. Most of the other stores can be found in the city without the crowds, however parking here is good whereas it can be hard to find in the city.

Pretty much find all you need at the Base without having the hussle and bussle of town, plenty of space to park, it's got most banks, ATM's and so forth, very open area, security do as best to watch your car it's got cinemas eateries and places to drink alcohol if your looking for that, there's really no reason to go to town and if you want groceries it's about 500 metres up the road to New World superstore and these are the reasons I give it a 5/5 plus I feel my daughter is safer going here than into town where you dunno what's around the next corner, our family are big patrons of the Te Awa base and I expect to see bigger and better things in the future from this place.

Te Awa has a huge variety of shops, however is frequently overcrowded due to its popularity. I would avoid on weekends as parking in the base is always an issue.

Te Awa is a good place to pass time, depending on what you're looking for it has almost everything to cater everyone. You can go see a movie, maybe get a bite to eat..Its a cool place

A selection of shops, food court and rest rooms. There's four Tesla Superchargers in the basement carpark. No supermarket or charging for other electric vehicles besides Teslas. Sushi was good.

Parking is easy, and the variety of shops is also great. On a hot day, this is a good place to go. Majority of the food places are located here.

Went lovisa at The AWA 7/7/18 and lady who served us was so helpful our daughter Julia brought $150 of jewellery for her outfit for a wedding the lady helped match the jewellery together with lots of idea so Julia was able to leave knowing she had brought the jewellery to finish her outfit perfectly

Te Awa is a regular mall. Ample free parking - both under cover and open air. Nothing particularly to rave about - it's the individual shops (presumably) you're at Te Awa for, not the mall itself, per se.

Te AWA is a great shopping mall with high quality interior design, great signage and a large variety of different stores to suit everyone.

Avoid the McDonald's unless you want to risk poorly cooked food. (my partner got a bad chicken burger there.) Acquisitions has a great deal of gift ideas.

It's a nice mall, and the food court has a great variety of places to eat. My favorite place to eat there is Mad Mex.

Best shopping centre in nz has something for everyone omg it is so massive but if you know what you want park the car in the free parking area and that is huge and catch the little buggy that willingly takes you to the door of where you want to go
