I don't like being jam packed in shops with lots of people about,& today was busy n hot outside so it was good to be indoors for a couple of hours. The Warehouse had their AC going hard so the experience was that much enjoyable.

Nice staff could have prepared more pies for lunch rush

All you can eat, wear and build a family with, minus the instant drive through marage tent. Great place for a one-stop giant adventure mall. Take a tent and camping gear if you tire easily as you can spend a bit of time tramping from mall to mall in the base. It will take you time to find a good scone, I have yet to find one, they lack cheese and are all dry and taste of mass production. It is a pity I would have thought a decent cafè would have made it's way out there by now... sad. Only mitre10 can help I am sorry to say, that I'd a sad state of affairs if a home handyman shop has better scones than a Café ....

Way less busy than we were told. So we enjoyed a bit if freedom and retail therapy. The public toilet near the park was immaculate. So good job and a thumbs up to the cleaners. And no ques except the warehouse.

A good place to get all your needs sorted in one location. Do remember to check traffic conditions as it can get crowded on some days making it difficult to park and uncomfortable to shop.

Good atmosphere. Some of the entry lines can be long this time of year (xmas) so be prepared to wait especially out the warehouse. Plenty of parking and entertainment for the kids in the playground.

I previously purchased items from Warehouse-Stationary which are located within The Warehouse (Terapa Base), my purchase was via 'click and collect' which for me in this times of Covid-19 i was pleasantly surprised as to how the Warehouse had set up their process for which us customers were to collect their purchased items, the lay out of which us customers had to abide by in order to pick-up was rather easy once youve read & understood the instructions which were placed outside the store, plus the measures put in place to keep their staff and customers safe while picking up, their customer-service was easy to deal with and polite with minimal wait-time 'Well-Done keep up the good work!

It's a mall, if you need a mall come to this mall. Pretty good parking, and something for everyone.

Yoyoso shop is so nice to check with reasonable prices . One of a funny thing in shop is found that their oil container packaging has two colour options of Blue & Beige but factory didn’t put the right colour sticker with description 🤣🤣 You guys will see in the pictures

Good large mall. Has everything. Only thing I don't like is how crowded it gets. Everything is accomadating to the crowds so that's a plus.

We had to go to the Base as some other people had to, we went to the Chemist Warehouse. It was all very quiet and a lot of stores did click and collect but as always the Base is a very easy place to shop I like it.

We love shopping at the Base. Plenty of car parking and almost every brand outlets are here too

Not a bad place to shop. First time I've ever had to go on a escalator to get into a warehouse. Close by kmart and other stores.

The biggest shopping mall in Hamilton. Parking is not a problems. The Base Outlet is the corner that you are expecting items with special price, but only Puma, Bendon, Sunglasses and a cafe are there opening, lots of empty stores.

Best place for weekend shopping to go with family with many different stores in one place. Variety of shops for people with different needs. Plenty of individual brand shops also can be seen in this place. Food courts of well known brands can be of great help after shopping.A large area of shops good car park area but it is open to the elements there are some grass areas to sit on and a play area for kids

Was looking for Newborn merino oneself for a baby girl. This one and a blue were the only options. Very limited range but excellent price ($25).

Plenty of shops. Tough getting around the Base. The Base should have a large conveyor system to transport people from one place to another, as found in some international airports.

To be honest it's an amazing mall where you will definitely get everything you need, definitely reccomend going her for your shopping.

The vaccination centre is well organized at level 1, opposite cinema. Clearly guided around the site by the staff there, I am impressed by the professionalism of the vaccinator who had a comfort talking while completing the serious task. Online booking is user friendly. Inside is no camera allowed therefore no photos to display for the review :-)

Alot of different shops and food stops. Definetly worth ya time if you can stop here.

love the base. has all the shops you want and free parking. disabled parking is plentiful as is mum and baby parks. sheltered walkways means you dont get too wet if its raining. plenty of zebra crossing points to access the mall and other shops.

This is my go to place in Hamilton, shopping at your fingertips, I enjoy binge shopping, plenty of parking loads of food.

This place has become almost too large. Needs golf carts to get around and some covered walkways to provide a bit more protection from sun.

Lots of people but still got car parks available. Recommend for shopping!

Well I only went into 2 shops, an wow I was lucky to get a park. People everywhere, but I got my family Easter eggs an looked in the Pet Shop. The Base has something for everyone, an if you look you will get a bargain. It's a great place park for the kids, clean loos, an seating all over the Base to sit, also under ground parking to.

Very busy long lines to get into stores at the moment due to lockdown but other than that normally pretty good place to shop

Suitable for everyone with cheap prices, constantly renewed merchandise, and a good one-stop shop for the family

Every shop you could possibly wish for...the Base has it, including Chemist Warehouse and some great cafés too. There's heaps of parking with various entrances. I love going here when I visit Hamilton.

The base has everything you need, but the parking is ridiculous during the holiday periods. So plan ahead

Experienced some incredible customer service today at Smith's Sports Shoes. The young guy serving was incredibly knowledgeable, without coming across as a know it all, very courteous and friendly and provided truly first-class customer service. And because the price was so good I went in to get one pair of New Balance, and came out with two! One of the best places to go at The Base. Highly recommended!

Great shopping, easy to find everything.

Quite a good open mall, but walk way covering needs to be continous the whole way around, its horrible to be walking through in the rain. If its poor weather I basically stay in Te Awa (the enclosed area). Parking is soooo much better than in Hamilton CBD, even on Christmas Eve you'll be able to find a park (admittedly it'll be a long walk, but you'll find one).

Plenty of parking and heaps of different shops around to check out.

The Base is awesome. I love the skechers outlet store great shoes worth it for how much better my feet & body feels after being on my feet all day at work. There's so many different stores there&foods, I also like going to cracker jacks they have alsorts of awesome things for a really good price.

Went to Hoyts to watch a movie then had dinner at food court after, I had Chinese food. Hoyts seats are quite narrow and less comfortable compared to Event Cinemas. Its become real expensive to go to the movies these days.

The cinema was great and you have many choices of food to eat in the cinema. The food court was really crowded almost every time + hard to find a seat. Alot of cloths for shopping. Also good for family because there is playground which kids can play

I like the base because it's convenient but all the shops are your typical run of the mill shops apart from adairs homeware on the outside which is a really nice shop.

I went to meet a friend & park up over lunchtime. Being a large truck, I wondered how parking would go, but it was a cinch! The speed humps weren’t that easy, & the turning in was tight, but it was achievable. A great selection of shops, across a wide range of goods.

Went today for my second Covid vaccination the set up there is impressive.found a convenient car park so all around good visit

I loved the bubble tea I had. I went to buy bras at farmers and a customer who claims she 70 told me hot gossip has better fitting ones. I did eventually look in that shop, quiet expensive store. Well shes either working for hot gossip or her daughter owns it or works their??? I found a perfect bra, camisole and tee shirt at farmers while I was in the shop to begin with. I wont ever glad back to hot gossip, scared I might bump into the malls nutter!! 🤣😂

This is the largest shopping centre in Hamilton. What ever you need you will get all in here. Hips of car parking available here. Nice deign of the shops here. According to there name of the shopping centre deign. One base on different stores. All toilets are nice and clean. Little bit tough to get parking to close of your favourite shop. But it’s handy if you like to walk more.

Easy parking, most of the necessary stores. Not really much but the stores though, movies but without and surrounding bars/restaurants to make it a venue. So if the shops you want are here then go here but can't see id go here as a destination mall for coffee and a wander

It's a popular place but traffic jams are a big problem, it took me 30min to exit The Base last time.

The base was humming and people out shopping and meeting friends for coffee and lunch

It's HUGE to put it bluntly. Half of the shopping complex is inside in the main hall, the rest of the bigger stores are in a ring outside on the perimeter. Parking is great, either inside or out. Every label you could think of is here I think.Chemist Warehouse is now situated there.

1: the base shopping mall Is huge. Lot's of people, but not overly loud which is good. There are lots of places to eat in there, such as Mac Donald's, However the only issue is that there's HEAPS of people so it might feel a little crowded. The shopping mall is really nice and clean, so that's a bonus. I got my ears pierced at the pharmacy, and received great service.

As far as "Malls" go. This one is decent. Has everything you'd expect of a mall, relatively spacious, decent food court and layout pretty simple.

Dislike the limited vehicle access in and out of this complex, very frustrating. One road in and out! Poor planning! The wait is worse then being in Auckland rush hour traffic! Shops are good! Autograph and Acquisitions favs

Can be a very busy place with free parking. Great food court, and plenty of stores. A huge playground in the middle and soon a train station which you can catch from Auckland, Huntly, Ngaruawahia to the Base

Cotton on. Best store ever. Excellent staff will guide on compression tights. So lovely to get great service and advice

Lots of clothing to check out. Coming from a small town it's col to check out big shops like Farmers an other shops.

I usually dislike big malls but The Base has a good combination of shops and outdoor areas. This is how a mall should be, rather than fully enclosed spaces that can be very bad for anyone with sensory issues. I found The Base and it's design both convenient for shopping and relatively relaxing due to the outdoor spaces.

the.base is built next2,the railways,and,not far from the river.build,a giant pool facility,like Australia goldcoast,waterworld.the kids,and families will come.ylu build it,they will come.gareenteed.then,mum dad,can go shopping,kids can swim good foot traffic for all the business hub.win win situation.hellow.kids get hungry after swim,mum to tired 2cook,i know lets eat at food court.dahhhh.

The Base has free parking, is kept clean and feels safe. It reminds me of the CBD when I was a kid. Great shops too.

Really big place only dedicated for shopping and entertainment. Heaps of parking lot available in here. KFC and MacDonald are very close each other. People can also find Chinese, Indian and other varieties of food. This place is good for electronics, cloths, food etc

We never expected to see such organised, bloody shops, secured, good deals, excellent brands and very tidy complex altogether. A smart parking area underground recommended.

Got a cordless vacuum cleaner yesterday. Set it up and wouldn't charge. Disappointed and had to return today . A waste of petrol and my time. Think when this happens we should get a coupon on next purchase. Returning and replacing was quick and easy

Fantastic area outside of town with plenty of free parking and easily reachable shops all around the Central car park. Lovely architectural design with high ceilings and lots and lots of light. Food court has your regular fast food choices. But also some International food places to fit whatever you fancy. The cinema being on the top floor nicely accents the base. If you ever need anything and you're in te Rapa the base is definitely the first place you would go

Best place to shop in Hamilton. Awesome mix of stores and places to eat and is very clean. Fantastic parking options for all, but particularly great for parents of young children with dedicated car parks for those with strollers that is very near cover.

A great mixture of shops for the entire family to enjoy. A fun little playground is located in the middle of the car park. Many food stores are located throughout, as well as home wares and other varying retail stores. The only downside is that the mall is not full enclosed, but this can be solved by walking under the varying shelters provided or popping over to Te Awa until any bad weather stops.

Well the parking was hard today but that's unusual. The coffee was fine at The coffee House and the service excellent. Warehouse its usual self. Honestly, a little excitement needs to happen at this place. A mini event for children? The lady in specsavers second to none. On point. Postieplus need to upgrade their very average changing rooms but their service and product lines were good.

Plenty of shops, but the worst ever roading system. Really confusing road to access parking. It's so spread out you need good walking shoes. After a few visits you might become familiar with the layout, good luck with that.

In the summer if you have a pet animal that travels with you, the underground car park is perfect. Family friendly secure shopping. Mad Mex is here too for Mexican food lovers, very healthy stuff, and very pleasant staff. Nearly everything you need is here, except liquor and tobacco outlet. Hundreds of parking spaces, inside and out.

Can be really busy at times and harder to look for parking spots, but when you find one it's totally worth it. Not only the parking is free but there are also loads of shops to fill your shopping dreams! 10/10 recommend!

This is a very big mall. It has mostly all the shops. Most important is there is a huge parking and is free. There are few good options in the food area. The base is accessible by bus from the city centre. There is a park for kids to play. It’s a good place to shop, eat and children to play.

Nice place to shop around. Gets really busy over peek hours especially on weekend. So if you don't like crowds come in early. Prefer parking in garage to keep the car cool and of the Sun.

I miss this place already. I enjoy the bubble teas here, and the sushi place outside of the mall. Dont get shamiana butter chicken inside the food court, its sheit.

A very wide range of outlet stores. You can find bargains. Frequent sales. Tends towards the lower end of prices. Food for quick meals is available. Just a little bit chaotic on Saturdays with cars everywhere. Free parking if you can find a spot. Good playground central for the children. Worth a few hours.

Love the base! It's everything you need in one spot. You can make a day of it with a playground for the kids, movies and the food court. The new warehouse chemist is fabulous!

Best time we visit is 5:30pm onwards all shops we need are still open, with lots of carpark available. The free outdoor playground is great. School holidays there are always activities happening. Good range of shops.

Only reason why I miss shopping in Hamilton. Great shopping mall, great parking space too. Other problem is, it's in Hamilton lol

Very good Shopping Centre, possibly my favourite. They have a lot of stores and things to do. Fair few technology stores which is always good to see. Not crowded like some can be and good parking.

Love this place. So many shops to choose from in one area. Fast and efficient, with free parking all day long. Only downsides are: 1. It can take quite some time to get round the whole complex if the shops you want to visit are not all grouped together. But they do have a shuttle service if you need to use it. 2. It can get very busy during holidays and peek seasons, resulting in full car parks and lines of cars waiting to find said car parks. During these times you can use the Orbiter Bus Services to avoid the mayhem

Went to LJ's Seafood for dinner, had the prawns and calamari with chips and salad. Was so damn good 👍

I visited The Base last Sunday and used the toilet as I often do while there. I have always found them to be clean, with toilet paper and liquid soap available. It must be an endless job keeping up this high standard of cleanliness with a constant stream of adults and children using them. These staff members obviously take pride in their work, and it shows! I would like to say a big 'thank you' to them all. I was able to thank Teresa as she was cleaning while I was there. Your hard work is appreciated!

Go here very often, very useful as I live in a somewhat rural area making travel here very easy, all u need in one place, wheelchair accessible parking and entrances

Always got to stop here and shop around, mainly visit (The Warehouse, Cracker Jacks, and food courts) I'd recommend stopping in here, if you haven't had a hard day, more for it gets sore on your feet, otherwise a lovely place to stop by, visit and browse!!!!

Decent range of shops and cafes. Could do with less "chainy" stores, etc but I guess that's the way most places are going. Has a good outdoor area for kids. Plenty of parking. Try to avoid the place around Xmas as it gets stupidly busy.

Its busy, its vibrant, clean and a huge mix of stores and pricing. You have to be assured of finding g what you came for in this entire complex. Its just not personal for me. A great place I guess for the young and busy.

Nice quick shopping trip. Unfortunately for New Zealand, face mask/cover, gloves own choice. Was after cd packet of 10 and battery packs. Was advised to go to rotatuna branch for the cd packet. The staff did cooperate to check stock there. Shopping would have been better if face cover, gloves, social distance supported, as virus around. Unfortunately for New Zealand, not supported unfortunately. Need to be careful when shopping anywhere nowadays. Too many not wearing face cover or gloves! A pity.

Fantastic shopping centre, has all the main stores and well laid out- exterior music with underground and open parking. Kids playground in the centre and really could spend the entire day shopping here! Definitely the best shopping centre I have found in NZ

Love that the Westpac at the base has a Smart 🏧 ATM so I can put money in my or any of my families accounts and its available for immediate withdrawal or to use for online shopping which is often the case with my son or daughter.

Easy place to shop and you don't pay for parking

Need to fix the roads so it flows... To get in and out of this place can be horrible.. Maybe put more parking in there, and for the main roads in and out of the car park/base, you may want to consider doing 4 lanes... 2 each way... But other then that food and shopping has what you need :)

Brilliant place. Big playground for young and older kids in the middle, decent paths connecting everything too. Nice to be able to access the big stores on foot.

Hireing a wheelchair is so easy, we took longer than expected and they rang me, they waited for us to finish and even wheeled mum to my car and took the chair away after. Thanks for the great service.

we got parking at a stones throw from Te Awa mall front door. Great selection at the sushi bar. Movie theater very comfortable and well laid out. Plenty of variety of shops through out the whole complex. Glass 80% full!

Just another shopping centre, I do prefer them to malls but long gone are the days where one is different to the next. There's no passion put into the experience anymore... like the old Mt Wellington Big Fresh... I would travel across Auckland to take my kids there. Like a 50yr old house with character, compared to the 5yr old brick and tile that looks like the next one... no comparison. Our lives have turned into a life of consumerism and enjoyable boredom... real unnecessary to rate a shopping experience. Yes they have a variety of shops, yes the parking was fine, what was the experience like? Pft... same as every other shopping experience with shops and OK parking.

Brilliant coffee at Robert Harris. A tad expensive than others but the lovely young Maori lady serving us at the counter went out of her way to show us where we could plug our phone charger. Great service Latte & Cappuccino.

A nice mall with plenty of surrounding shops. Infrastructure can be tested at times on busy days and is sometimes unable to cope with the flow of people, otherwise a great place.

What an amazing place to shop I've never seen a place that's got so many things on the one place oh my god this is such a fake with you know the warehouse is the warehouse but the base is a great place he keeps it all in the same place no but seriously this place has got a lot of different shops to go and have a look at and it's convenient as I give it a four out of five on a total of 10

Went for a movie and quickest browse. If you like overpriced mainstream movies (Lido is better) and go for the experience to say "yay I went out" go for it! Have never bought any food so can't comment. If you are a mall person you will enjoy this! I ratherbr home 😂

Better shops then centre place

Always such an experience visiting the base it is vastly a large complex, definately if going there i recommend some comfy shoes & enjoy all shops. It is always well kept - clean and a variety of stores that everyone will love. A must do when visiting hamilton.

This is a small outlet centre with two larger sports wear shops. The entire area is a huge shopping centre with this small outlet options.

Te Awa or the Base pretty much the same place great variety and choice awesome Maori Art infused into the Design of the building plenty of parking Food Hall is excellent, great upstairs area to sit in a quiet spot or private chat with a friend very family orientaded 10/10

I visited The Base last week and used the toilet as I often do while there. I have always found them to be clean, with toilet paper and liquid soap available. It must be an endless job keeping up this high standard of cleanliness with a constant stream of adults and children using them. These staff members obviously take pride in their work, and it shows! I would like to say a big 'thank you' to them all.

Variety, good parking. Constanly updated signs state where and how many parks available. Up to date technology! Great restaurant choices. Well thought out parking. Timed pedestrian access with countdown to next time to cross.

I went to get a haircut at Just Cuts for the first time. A lovely young man by the name of Hansen took my name and asked me to take a seat. Shortly he called me over for my cut. Hansen was polite cheerful and a great guy. He cut my hair beautifully, I came away knowing I'll be going back again. Thankyou Hansen and Just Cuts.

Great convenient shopping for just everything you can imagine. No cost to parking involved and if you go early one can just about park outside the door. Much better than city central

All the 'big-box' stores you could possibly want, nice environment, good pedestrian facilities, but insanely busy on the weekends with major traffic issues. I hate going here unless it's during off-peak hours like late nights during the week when it's quieter.

Nice time to shop in the evening from 8.30 - 9.30pm. Downside is only few shops open, but didn't mind. Intended to shop at Warewhare and found most items I was looking for.

Normal shopping mall, usually get my kid's Santa Photos done here, love going out of town to this place. :)

Lots of free parking, indoor and outdoor shopping. Most common NZ stores have a presence here. Children's playground. Pushchair and wheel chair friendly. Food hall, cafes and restaurants on site. Supermarkets close by as well.

One stop shop for all your shopping needs. Car yards and dealership the likes Jaguar, Volvo, Toyota, Kia, Subaru, Suzuki, Isuzu etc is very close.

So needs better prioritisation of pedestrians. It's a ridiculously car centric area where you need to do a lot of walking. Even the playground is in a sea of cars

The Base is massive and when it's busy, you'll need to be prepared to walk 5-10 minutes from where you parked your car (there's lots of parking available) to get to where most of the shops are located. There's also bus services which connect right out front.

Such great hospitality such a big site. If you can't get a close park you can just wait for the shuttle. Love the parking system. You always know where to find a park. Prams available too if you need boot space for shopping.

Heaps of shopping things you could dream of yes I rate that a five cause its awesome...

Very popular due to variety of retailers and free all day parking. Also part of the orbital bus routes if so inclined. Hosts Friday night market which is also very popular.

Best place for weekend shopping to go with family. Variety of shops for people with different needs. Plenty of individual brand shops also can be seen in this place. Food courts of well known brands can be of great help after shopping.

There are a wide variety of stores here in a modern facility, however my major mark against is the decision of te awa's operators to force you to walk the length of the mall to get to the food court, even though there is parking and external access with seating! But a fence to prevent you coming and going that way, a decision no doubt driven to try and get an impulse purchase out of you, but for me at least this choice all but eliminates the food court as a practical place to go on my lunch break as it wastes so much time

We often stop here to charge the Tesla on way south from Auckland. The car suggests having to go right around, but you can enter the carpark from either side. The rest rooms and food court are convenient, but it woud be great if there was a supermarket there too so would could shop whole waiting for the car. There's one over the road, but that's a little less convenient for us.

They need to extend their opening hours all year long. Especially for those who always finish work late. We don't live in 70s or 80s any more and 9am-5pm shift days are well gone. Time to follow the trend. chop chop

Mall has lots of options for shopping, and combines an indoor mall with a big box style shopping area. This is both a good thing and a bad thing, as you have to hunt sometimes to find what you are looking for. Additionally, parking can be a bit of a nightmare.

Very wide range of stores to explore with tons of great parking

If you're traveling from abroad or you're used to very large vibrant malls then you might be surprised to find out that this isn't that kind of mall.😒😴 However, I have had very little issues while shopping here and I do visit very frequently. If you're traveling from the US, I've found that most American credit or debit cards are accepted at businesses here. Apple Pay or Visa Pay Wave is supported at many businesses as well. 🤑👏🏼 If you're looking for American candy, you might want to check out United Sweets located near the food court within the mall.

Awesome place to shop or just to browse around...with over 60 shopping outlets located around the Base theres something for everyone.....fantastic foodcourt with something for everyone...asian cuisine grilled food morrocan mexican and the list goes on so head on down next time on a lazy sunday and enjoy yourself at Te Awa the Base.....

Pretty cool place. The playground is a winner!!! Needs to be bigger and have an option for hotter weather! The subway there is fantastic service was on point during a busy school holiday lunchtime run.

Loads of parking space. Music plays from outside and inside speakers and can be heard while walking around shopping areas. It's a relaxed ambience to fit the shoppers. Their is a range of retail outlets from sports, mens, womens, kids clothing & shoe stores. Seats located outside stores to rest on. Food restaurants, chemist, kiwibank & post shop, Stationery & Book Stores. There are 2 clean restroom areas. One is located within the indoor complex and the other conveniently close by to all amenities. Their is a children's outside playground which has toilets also.

Lots of places to visit and a good variety of things to buy. It's very car centred, there are so many cars it feels like the Auckland motorway in the middle of rush hour. And it can be a bit of a wind tunnel in bad weather.

The base is a big mall. The shops are all standard mall shops but you can find almost anything you need in the one places. Parking is usually good but avoid on public holidays as it will be busy.

Went at night to warehouse- easy parking when you go after 6pm

Visiting from the south island. The service overall in this mall is friendly compared to general service in Hamilton area that I have experienced so far. The standout would have been from a girl in Lovisa ( said she had moved from Nelson) who was very friendly and helpful and made us have a relaxed shopping experience considering my daughter and I were taking a long while choosing jewellery.

It's pretty, pretty good. A lot of parking, multiple entrances, and everything is easy to find. Variety of places to choose from when shopping or eating.

Great place to shop everyshop you can think of is there all within walking distance and best of all they are all mega style shops so the selection is Amazing! They also have a kids playground to let them burn off some energy highly recommend

Definitely one of the best malls in NZ and still one of the biggest. Parking is the biggest advantage here and plenty of shops that spread outside not only in Te AWA. Room for expansion which I hope they will get bigger. Short drive if you are in Auckland as it's on the edge of Hamilton.

Over 1000 free parking places. Convenient access to many varied retailers and cinema. Te Awa is the covered shopping mall within the site, a former NZ air force base. Has attracted other businesses eg supermarkets, Kmart to develop nearby.

Went to Hoyts Te Awa for chicks at the flicks. Great goody bags and service. Way too many trailers but we got to the movie eventually.

There is just about everything you need at the base banks, insurance, and places to book your holidays, then there are the more interesting shops clothes, shoes, and everything in between, Farmers, the warehouse, So many places to eat, plus a discount centre where there are bargains galore undies through to men's wear, much more I have missed, but I must mention the Hoyts Cinema not to be missed.

A great concept that has successfully managed to kill the Hamilton CBD by their ingenious no-charge parking. Other than that, it is somewhat like a big open air mall with various enclosed sections. Nothing spectacular in that regard...

Awesome place for shopping etc... has a range of shops which should suite your everyday needs inside the re is a food court including McDonalds, KFC, Mad Mex, etc... has lives up to the reputation. Outside there is the bendon outlet. Which includes Puma Shoes. Well thought mall and outlet. Also there is Mitre Ten Mega on the opposite side. On the opposite road of The Base there is Kmart and Countdown. A few of the shops I can name is Cotton on, Wharehouse and wharehouse stationary combined, Torpedo 7, Briscoes home appliances, NZ post shop, Cracker Jack's, Golf Place, and tons more you can find via there website.

This place has my favourite geek shop. The tshirt shop found behind the coffee club and next to Nando's. Everytime we come to Hamilton we have to come here to see what's new. Whether it be the walking dead or Game of Thrones merchandise or my bands such as Disturned and Tool. I just love looking through it all. You will also find the food hall caters for all tastes from the simple to the exotic. Delicious goodies for every one and parking is always available. A place for anyone to come to to find what they are looking for.

The Base is great, but Te Awa isn't when you want to use men restroom (the one near food court), first thing will see people urinating at the entrance. Not a really pleasant sight

Great place except for the moaning foreigners. If the size of a shopping centre is how a country rated maybe you shouldn't come to Hamilton. Perhaps try Hong Kong, Paris or LA. Enjoy the traffic and smog while you're there, and be happy in the knowledge that New Zealand is a better place without you.

That's and awesome piece of shopping center everything is there also count town on the opposite site but a pakin save will just too it up.

Good place to shop and eat. This complex had just about every store you need to do quick shopping for gifts. Food stalls all around the base for a snack or two.

Te rapa noel leeming is quite big, they have a line that says eftpos only. I asked the one in the counter if this is for payment made by eftpos only. She said yes, apparently it is also for those with claims etc so it took longer than for me to pay. They should have placed a returns and eftpos. So people will not line there.

This place so bomb!! They even had a kfc at there food court!!. Not only is it nicely spaced out they jave a large variety of shops!!. Also the Hoyts cinema there is so grand. Comfy seats and worth your money!!

Biggest mall in Hamilton. All the major retail shops and retailers. Plenty of free parking. Great public transport link. Cool kids playground too.

Just like any other big mall complex with the added bonus of being able to access other retail ers which are not normally found in malls. Nice and clean amenities.

Avoid on weekends. Parking is a disaster, otherwise got everything you need.

The shopping paradise suffers from one major conceptual flaw: The shops are placed around the car park not the other way round. Consequently you cover good milage when you go shopping.

The Base is a collection of national stores built on the former airforce base (hence the name: The Base). It's HUGE! However, even though there are squillions of free carparks, if you're planning a visit prior to, say, Christmas P.L.A.N. your visit as the congestion (from both north and south) is a nightmare! You name it and you can probably find it at The Base.

Vast array of stores to suit your needs with great cafes and restaurants to sit and relax after a busy day of either window browsing and shopping

Great place to shop, plenty of parking and service has always been brilliant. Favourite place to shop.

Allot of parking, allthough when buisy it may be hard to find some. It has a good layout so it's not too far to walk to different stores. Overall the place is ok.
