Currently, due to Omicron in the area, restrictions are being rigorously enforced - appropristely so. Some stores have a one out one in policy. Most just masking and distancing requirements. Open, airy environment. A pleasure to window shop or buy.

I'm not a fan of large complexes on the best of days. Would be nice if they kept an up to date of the shops really available. Some people don't want to walk aimlessly only to find the shop they were looking for had closed for good.

The centre of the city, has more than 70 shops inside the Plaza. The biggest is K Mart Farmers and the Countdown. One hour free parking is available. Love the charging stations in the Plaza, make it more friendly and accessible.

Nice and clean in toilet blocks, makes you feel comfortable. Plenty of parking under cover as well as outside, reasonable pricing for car parking as well.

Lots of shops where you can purchase just about any item. You can buy even branded items. Household items. Furniture, Electronics, bedding, whitewater, clothing, shoes, jewellery shops and sunglasses etc. They have lots of parking. And a great food court with Asian food as well. Kmart is open till midnight. They have mobile shops and banks, pharmacies, opticians, massage too. Salons and Countdown supermarket are also popular. Plaza Gift Cards can be purchased which are handy to be given as prezzies if people would like to gift. Helpful customer service. And there's security 24/7.

The plaza is a great place to shop. Unfortunately when I walked past Dunkin Donuts early one morning I saw the older lady that works there licking her fingers and then wiping them on a cloth. Very unhygienic. It's definately put me off going there. And I used to love their donuts

I love going here but found out today that they close off access to the car park by farmers not long after most of the shops closed. We are not local so didn't know this till we went to go to our car from kmart to found it closed off. We talked to a security guard who just said that we would have to walk around the block with what we had bought (thankfully it wasn't much). It would be nice if there was some kind of signage and/or something on the website stating that this happens so people can be made aware.

I love this place for shopping. They have a variety of shops, loads of food options too. Right in centre of town and multi level parking on site. Very clean toilets and mall area. Great for s one stop shopping experience as has a supermarket too.

There is a variety of stores in the mall, clean, there are signs but could be bigger, seating areas, toilets were clean but lacked signage and were far apart, there could be a store kiosk/map on entry, I didn't see a Information Kiosk.

It's difficult to rate a plaza when it is really all about individual shops. I hate plazas, but I love Smiggle, find Farmers good, Kmart affordable, Peter Alexander tempting, and the many other shops great to buy and browse in. My go to would be George St or the Square edge. The plaza's too crowded and noisy to be enjoyable.

I love calling in to The Plaza, it's a one-stop-shop. There are so many goods and services are available for me to go to. From banking, technology, groceries, high cost and lower cost items. I can have my hearing and eyes tested and there is such a wide variety of places to stop for lunch while there. With the public toilets as you leave and both escalators & lifts available for getting to where you have parked your car.

This is a good place in Palmerston north. There are lots of shops inside the plaza. So it's easy to find the shop you don't have to go round of the whole city.

It's a mall, so the usual chain stores are there, not much that's unique or local. Handy having the big Farmers, KMart and Countdown attached. Decent sized food court. There's a bit of seating around the place, which is handy if you have to wait around or are just shopped out. The toilets are regularly cleaned, but they have the slowest hand driers and no paper towels, so plenty of people walk out with wet hands (or don't bother washing cos people are gross). Lots of parking, but it can be a bit strained in the lead up to Christmas. First hour is free, but if you're 1 minute over you pay for all of it. Don't leave it to the last minute either as the pay machines are sometimes out of order and you have to go find another one.

It was pleasant. Nice stores. Clean. Echoey food court area, so if you have little ones with sound sensitivities, just letting you know, that closer to there gets very loud and voices are amplified a lot. Food there though is really good, lots to choose from.

Love the plaza. It is great (when it's not school holidays). Nearly everything you would need. Food court, retail therapy, manicures, hairdressers. Everything a girl or boy needs.

I put a lower score because the social distancing to prevent covid is really poor. People are gathered in clusters or bump into you inside the shops. I'm not impressed by this and feel it would be safer if staff policed it more vigilantly.

Huge variety of shops - you can find anything you want here. We come and eat in the food hall often! Worthy of a special mention is the chicken kaarage from Ocggi. It's superb! Also worthy of mention are the salads from the & bowl. They're delicious and healthy for you. Just one difficulty - they have removed all the rubbish bins so the tables sometimes have unremoved rubbish on them.

Coming to the Plaza is always a treat. It is a beautiful shopping mall with an amazing variety. We travel from Paraparaumu to do our special shop's here i.e. birthdays, special occasions.

Lazy security not chasing troublesome teens messing customers about. VERY expensive exploitation with the parking costs. Some great staff across the stores, especially Columbus Coffee, JBHIFI and the Jewellery stores. I'd say pop in but go do your shopping in the outside stores

Went in to get my nails done for Christmas. Very busy but had no trouble getting a park. Quick service at the nail bar and out again within 1 hour. It's great to get your first hour parking free. A bonus at this busy time of year.

The Plaza is good but does get very busy.. If you don't mind loads of people, then this is the place for you.. Loads to look at, plenty of food outlets to chose from.. You can even get a spare set of keys cut.. A must go and shop..

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit to this mall. Very clean, great shops and, in the most, staffed with people who are eager to be of assistance. Glad to have left some NZ dollars behind. Perhaps consider a few benches for the use by 'weary' shoppers.

Very clean toilet facilities in multiple locations throughout the complex, great family room/baby changing/feeding areas. Good selection of eateries in the food Court and small rest stops with couches, benches and even a little kids play area for when you need a break from shopping. Free WiFi so you can access daily specials from stores in the complex. Very helpful staff at the information desk.

Absolutely brilliant hub for 90% of whatever shopping you need to do. Easy to find utilities, friendly atmosphere, and the staff make your problems and questions there own mission. Can get pretty packed full of people just in there because they can be, but other than that, great!

Lots of shops all together is always handy. Parking can be horrendous at times. I've been caught out before by checking the parking card and it said no payment needed then gone to leave and by the time I get to the exit, payment is required! There should really be 10 minutes to get from the payment part to exit the parking. Would give it 5 stars if the parking wasn't so crappy

This place is definitely the heart of Palmerston North. As I walk through Palmerston North, I wondered to myself why the streets are so quiet and empty. Then when I walked into The Plaza, I realised everyone was inside! Definitely lots of shops to check out and a huge foodcourt to please your stomach!

Usually only go to Plaza for destination shopping that can be done within the 1 hour free parking limit. Avoid Foodcourt area as there is too much noise. Plaza needs more variety of shops as there are mostly clothes shops there aimed at the younger generation.

Nice mall, has most of the usual stores, good size food court. The only thing is parking, car park lay out a bit tight, get very congested when busy, especially with the exit gate always breaking down. Also only free for 1st hour. Most people have to watch their watch, they rush in, get what they need and rush out, don't have time to have a coffee as all of a sudden your coffee cost a few more dollars due to parking cost.

Soulless and dehumanizing, the modern shopping mall is a ubiquitous experience with little variation across the continents. The Plaza is typical of the phenomenon. A terrible temple to consumerism and waste, vast polished halls and seductive advertising remind is that we're simply a cog in a runaway machine. I go there about twice a week and hate myself for it.

Has good shops with friendly staff. I only go to the plaza if theres something specific I want to by. I never spend longer than 1 hour there as I don't want to pay for parking. Would be better if you got free parking for longer if you've been shopping. Other malls give you longer for free if you show how much you spent.

Pretty impressive shopping mall by New Zealand standards. Parking seems a bit punishing given the steep charges for anything over an hour, redeemed partially by the fact the first hour is free. Amazing changing and nursing room for baby.

I just want to say a huge thanks to the Service Desk and Security Staff at The Plaza Palmerston North. I lost my mother at the Plaza and while I was looking for her they were in regular contact with me to ask questions and to see if I had found her. Which helped me alot to be able to check other places knowing they were looking for her too. It was a huge relief when I did find her. Again many thanks to the staff.

Amazing! But also very crowded. Not being a local, the mall was very confusing and it was hard to remember where everything was. When crowded, it feels very claustrophobic. Not a place made for an entire town. Mostly fine though and a wide range of stores available. I definitely recommend it!

You have to love the Plaza and really there is no other place to shop. The only negative is the lack of guy shops. Like most malls in the country it's womens fashion focused. It's also disappointing they no longer support the local hospice fundraisers

Good Bathroom facilities, friendly help desk, modern and recently renovated. Decent food court with 11 or 12 different food outlets including McDonald's and Subway. Several other cafes in the mall. Our favourite department store is Kmart, favourite clothing store is Mirrou, and the cell phone cover/screen protector stall (not store) is the best in town.

Good accessibility, plenty of parking, only draw back is the machines where the ticket is dispensed is on a different time to cellphones and general clocks, when visiting expect to pay for your parking 4min earlier than actual time, so if you are there 56min it will charge you for over 1 hour. 1 hour is free but you pay after that mark.

Mainly clothing shops in the Plaza, a couple of chemists, hairdressing, shoe shops, jewelers and farmers is part of the Plaza also

Good mall with lots of parking both covered and uncovered. 1 hour free parking and then parking is quite expensive once you start getting charged for it. The stores are the same as the normal ones you find in most malls. A large food court that is normally packed on weekends.

Love the plaza! After moving from Auckland i thought that was the 1 thing i was going to miss out on, a big mall, but the plaza is just like a big mall in Auckland!! Has all the shops! Booth/floor shops & lil special NZ made shops & a big foodcourt, lots of cafes & places to eat just like an Auckland mall!! Frozen yoghurt & icecream palours, juice bar, beauty & nail bars & salons, clothes & shoe shops, bookstores & banks, electronics stores & magazine shops, Kmart & handbags & luggage stores & a countdown supermarket! Pharmacy & health stores as well. Great place!

Main shopping complex in the town centre of Palmerston North. Has a variety of retail stores and decent sized food court. Stores include Farmers, Kmart, JB HiFi, Amazon, Platypus, EB Games, and more. Parking is multistory with many entrances and exits, the first hour parking is free. Bonus is also that complex is walking distance to the town centre such as The Square and Broadway Avenue.

Really hard to find your way around, the food court is expensive. Men's toilets are not very clean or tidy, finding a car park is a pain in the rear bumper. Why the 5 star rating? They have Donut King near the food court.

Decent food court too, multiple cafes, jewellery stores, fashion and homewares it's all here. Popular hangout spot for the youth of the Manawatu. Free and plentiful car parking. It's an easy place to come and upgrade your wardrobe, buy a present or meet your mates.

The plaza in Palmerston North is an excellent place to go and hunt for almost all of your needs and wants. The plaza has a wide array of shops inside and has a decent sized parking building located on the Fergusson street side of the building. With entrance/exits located on Fergusson street, Ashley street, and Fitzherbert Road. The plaza has a count down supermarket situated on the same site which means you can do the groceries at the same time! The plaza also has a food court inside with a variety of options available to satisfy the hunger pains.. the plaza is also central to the rest of the Palmerston North City Centre and the square which means it is also surrounded by numerous cafes and restaurants should you prefer something other than what is on offer in the food court.
